Eugh….just started bleeding over 2 years post menopause.
I know I need to see my GP, but obv can’t do anything (apart from worry) until Monday. Could do without this tbh.

I had my scan today and thankfully all is fine.
I have a dermoid cyst - I think I've been told about that before actually.
No reason for the bleed, but nothing sinister.

Gosh, what a change in protocol since my only other internal scan back in 1998.
That was a sonographer in the EPU whereas today was a gynaecologist fella.
He stood behind a curtain when I took my clothes off. He then shimmied back in with his back to my legs/arse before sitting to the side.

The nurse was trying to relax me by chatting away but I wish I'd told her I preferred just to lie there and sort of zone out. I don't get anxious about these things, but obviously they're not pleasant.

@CandyCrushLevel14809 hello.
I doubt whether they will discuss anything with me until I go back to see the Consultant. This is all NHS so I haven’t even got a contact to ask.
Thats the worse thing for me really. Someone somewhere has the information I want but I’ve got no way of finding out who they are.
I did ring the outpatients on Thursday to see if I could get any information but was told that they don’t have access to it.
Unfortunately I went through a nervous breakdown last year, due to a sudden traumatic bereavement and this is causing those same feelings.
i have got medication now, so that’s sort of keeping me steady.
it was a bad day today. I’m so impatient anyway but I’m trying to tell myself that every minute that passes is a minute closer to knowing.
Its shit basically!
thank you for checking in xx

@CandyCrushLevel14809 ahh just read your update on your scan. That’s good news!!
So they could see straight away what sort of cyst you had?
Are they watching and waiting or are you having to have it removed? X
