HRT patch glue removal recommendations please

harveythehorse · 03/02/2026 21:22

Hi, I have started using the HRT patches and am getting so fed up of having to scratch the residual glue from my body each time. I've found a product called NUDI but the reviews seem mixed. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations please?

I soak a cotton wool pad in baby oil and use that to wipe away the residue. I do have to rub quite hard, but it works.

Thank you, I will try that!

I do this too but I really wish there was a better way of doing it. It takes me ages 😨

My diabetic friend recommended little alcohol wipes as she has the same issue with her blood monitoring patches. They’re called Zoff. Game changer.

There should be an easy way, without spending ££ on a spray that might or might not work. Something else I didn't know I needed to think about before perimenopause!

I just use either a loofer or body scrub - the first time I realised this happened I had about ten black squares over my bum

SellFridges · 03/02/2026 21:37

The nudi sprays working alright for me. Probably about the same as scratching it off though tbh.

Blushingm · 03/02/2026 21:37

Medical adhesive removal spray

RhinestoneCowgirl · 03/02/2026 21:38

I use baby oil, cheap and works

SunnieShine · 03/02/2026 21:41

Rub the patch you have removed over the glue it left behind. Kind of like removing Blu Tack.

Itsanadventure · 03/02/2026 21:43

Nudi spray works fine, the odd time need a second spray on it but so easy and no horrible marks left

FrogLion · 03/02/2026 21:43

I just leave it. No one can see it.

Samewrinklesnewname · 03/02/2026 21:45

Surely I’m not the only one who lies in bed and has wee pick before going to sleep ?😝

hairypaws · 03/02/2026 21:45

Don't waste your money on nudi, I did and it still needs scrubbing off. I just rub soap, shower gel or whatever in the shower and scrub off with my nails, scrubber, loofah or whatever I have in at the time.

NippyNinjaCrab · 03/02/2026 21:46

I used to use either a cleansing balm or a waterproof mascara remover. Worked a treat. Mine never stuck properly I was glad to ditch them.

tetleyhead · 03/02/2026 21:48

I’m sure it’s not recommended but I use cotton wool and acetone free nail polish remover

harveythehorse · 03/02/2026 21:49

Thank you all so much, I just used some baby oil and it worked brilliantly (with minimal scrubbing) so that's great to know.

Avon do something called Skin So Soft that has loads of different uses. Google it and it should give you a list x

MsSmartShoes · 03/02/2026 21:57

A bit of salt and olive oil does the trick(and is nice to use all over!)

Periperi2025 · 03/02/2026 21:59

Baby oil.
Also tegaderm dressings (or cheaper equivalent) available off Amazon over the hrt patch keep it on better and leave a lot less residue.

Same I have those pads.. works a treat.

SallyAny · 03/02/2026 22:03

Skin so soft from Avon, Superdrug sell it, been using it for years, gets it all off easily

PARunnerGirl · 03/02/2026 22:08

This has been mentioned a few times recently on here and I’m wondering if my patches are different or what I’m doing wrong because mine don’t see to leave much residue at all! It either comes off in the shower without me even trying or, if I’m not taking a shower immediately, it’ll just quickly rub off.

soupyspoon · 03/02/2026 22:10

Mine hasnt so far, second one coming off tonight.

I would use olive oil out the cupboard!
