I am getting a bit desperate.
Its pricey but there's no guarantee it will work.

Anyone tried it?

I bought pumpkin seed oil capsules off Amazon, much cheaper than Jude - they are working a bit 😃

I bought pumpkin seeds in aldi but i have no clue how much to eat or if they help. The oil sounds a good idea. But I'd be willing to pay for jude if it helps as its getting very tricky at work with this..

Are you doing pelvic floor exercises? I thought I was doing them enough but I wasn't and wasn't doing them correctly either.

Puppylucky · 20/03/2025 12:01

@Lollipopsicle it is Zipvit Bladder Support from Amazon.

@ssd You should try increasing the vaginal estrogen dose first. None of these alternative things are proven to work and the one you're talking about is in fact a very very weak version of estrogen.

Is there a reason you're not willing to try to use Vagifem more often?

There is also a vaginal ring- Estring- that may be an option.

ssd · 20/03/2025 13:53

I tried vagifem every day but i didn't see a difference. Mind you, I'm not sure how long i tried it for. What would you recommend?

If it worked I'd do anything.

If it worked I'd do anything.

I found a big difference after 6 months, using it as directed, but there are times when things go backwards a bit and then I use it daily for a week or more.

It can take months to rebuild the bladder lining so if you possibly can, it's best to persevere for at least 3 months using it daily or maybe 5-6 times a week.

The other option is to consider a low dose of systemic HRT if you're not on that as well, simply because lots of women on HRT also need vaginal estrogen.

Solefenacin isnt doing much for me.
I'll Google Mirabegron. Can you tell me if it helps, does it stop the urge and the panic to get to a loo in time?

Yes it definitely reduces the urges, but you also need to work on ignoring the urges otherwise you end up reducing your bladder capacity and making things worse.

I recently saw a consultant urologist and have been recommended for treatment where they inject Botox into the bladder wall which reduces the overactive signals.

I’m not menopausal but I have had urge incontinence for many years so the heading caught my eye.

would vaginal eatrogen help with this?

I haven’t been to the doctors for this for many years as they never suggested anything that helped.

Basically, I can feel like I have a very full bladder and feel the urge to pee - fine.

But I also, very often, have the urge to pee and feel very uncomfortable….but I know my bladder is not full. I can feel that it’s not full. But I still desperately need to pee.

Its like the tiniest amount of urine irritates my bladder.

I have it all the time, but there is no denying it does get worse when I am stressed, particularly when trying to get to sleep.

Does anybody know anything that might help?

Have you looked at whether there is something in your diet that is irritating your bladder if it worse at some times?

It is definitely worth going back to your GP to be investigated for an overactive bladder.

OH45whisper · 12/05/2025 21:49

Have you tried avoiding coffee as it’s known to irritate the bladder? I would highly recommend. Good luck.

ssd · 12/05/2025 22:09

Im not a big coffee drinker, i prefer tea. Im now using decaf teabags , have been for almost a month but nothing has changed.
I bought jude but haven't started it yet.

I was referred to a Consultant Urologist and diagnosed with a spasming bladder. Solifenacin was a miracle drug for me. I was going for a wee 3-4 times an hour and several times through the night.

Ellephanting · 15/05/2025 00:03

I use Vagifem but twice a week didn’t help. I need to use it virtually every night.

ssd · 15/05/2025 09:30

I have solefenacin and vagifem but they arent making a difference.
The solefenacin is 10mg once a day, the vagifem is twice a week.
Am wondering if i should increase both of these?

OP posts:
ssd · 15/05/2025 09:31

Especially the solefenacin?

It takes at least 3 months to settle.
