Has anyone tried Jude for urge incontinence?

I am getting a bit desperate.
Its pricey but there's no guarantee it will work.

Anyone tried it?

Have you been to your GP and tried prescribed drugs?

Has anyone assessed you and said it's 'urge'?

You could perhaps be suffering from GSM- genito urinary symptoms of menopause which often improves with vaginal estrogen treatment.

JinglingSpringbells · 17/03/2025 16:09

@jude The ingredients of the supplement are pumpkin seeds and phytoestrogens.

Pumpkim seed treatment is sometimes suggested for men with frequency because of enlarged prostates.
Not sure if it works for women.

Phytoestrogens (mentioned on the website) are very weak forms of estrogen. They won't necessarily work in low oral doses for what you need.

So, you'd be better off seeing your GP and getting vaginal estrogen prescribed if you haven't already.

Many women also need to use it more than 2x a week- there are women on this forum using it daily to get relief of symptoms.

I use vagifem twice a week, it doesn't help.

I'm in week 2 of taking it but it's too early to say as they reckon you have to have been taking it for several weeks to see any benefits.

ssd · 17/03/2025 21:45

Did you get the 12 week plan @SparklyGlitterballs ?

I’m not menopausal but I have had urge incontinence for many years so the heading caught my eye.

would vaginal eatrogen help with this?

I haven’t been to the doctors for this for many years as they never suggested anything that helped.

Basically, I can feel like I have a very full bladder and feel the urge to pee - fine.

But I also, very often, have the urge to pee and feel very uncomfortable….but I know my bladder is not full. I can feel that it’s not full. But I still desperately need to pee.

Its like the tiniest amount of urine irritates my bladder.

I have it all the time, but there is no denying it does get worse when I am stressed, particularly when trying to get to sleep.

Does anybody know anything that might help?

grammybee · 17/03/2025 21:49

I've been using Jude for over a year and they've made a huge difference for me. It took a few weeks to notice any changes but they really do help and I notice when I haven't taken them. I use them alongside vagifem (which did nothing for the urge incontinence at all, but does make everything feel a bit more "normal")

I got them from Boots. I think the pot has 1 month's supply. I wanted to make sure they didn't disagree with me before committing to a longer term.

I use vagifem twice a week, it doesn't help.

You may need to use it more- see my previous post.

Some women here use it 3-4 times a week and this is allowed.

Give it a go before buying stuff that may not work.

Yes, vaginal estrogen- see your GP and get some!

Puppylucky · 17/03/2025 22:48

I tried Jude for a month and then switched to a cheaper pumpkin based supplement which seems to be working for me.

TheFairyCaravan · 17/03/2025 23:01

I did and I found it worked really well, however I had to stop taking it because I couldn’t tolerate the soy in it. It gave me a really upset stomach unfortunately.

HighHeelsOnCobblestones · 17/03/2025 23:10

I bought some from Holland and Barrett yesterday, so only on day two, but already I feel it's helping.

JazzyBBBG · 17/03/2025 23:21

I've used it, it did work however affected my poop so gave me another problem!

MakyJo · 17/03/2025 23:31

Yep tried the 3 month trial - didn't work for me at all 😕

Are you taking HRT?

TeaRoseTallulah · 17/03/2025 23:40

I've had great success with a handful of pumpkin seeds on my porridge every morning, really noticed a difference after a month. I buy them from Amazon by the kilo and they're a lot cheaper than Jude and same ingredient. I think Jude is a ridiculous price.

Melroses · 17/03/2025 23:46

I find drinking plenty of extra water when I have a day at home, so I can go to the loo a lot, helps calm my bladder if it is going through an overactive phase. Just a glass in between normal tea break or drink times.

Also, if the vagifem is not doing its job, you can go through a two week load like you do when you start it. I have always had to use it more than twice a week.

OldCottageGreenhouse · 18/03/2025 00:08

@ssdI’m on week 3 so only slight improvement so far but it says it takes 3 months. One important thing to note though, is that if you get it direct from them, they give you an extra booster pack so you can take an extra tablet each day for the first 2 weeks, so 3 tablets in total. You won’t get the booster pack if you order from, say Boots for example.

Also, if you want 25% off, I have my friend’s referral link?

Hi. Just wanted to say that I suffered with alot of pain in my early 50s which felt like cystitis all the time. Also have bladder weakness. Saw two specialists and started with ovestin which helped with dryness but not with the pain. About a year ago I decided to stop pelvic floor exercises for a few days. I was completely pain free and still am. My guess is that the pain was to do with tight pelvic floor muscles/spasms. No-one suggested this at all. Just wanted to share in case it helps someone else.

Do you mind sharing which one please?

MagpiePi · 20/03/2025 08:45

I tried it and thought it made a bit of difference but it wasn’t a cure by any means.

I’ve had solefenacin in the past but couldn’t get on with the side effects. I’m now on Mirabegron which has made a huge improvement.

notapizzaeater · 20/03/2025 09:58

I bought pumpkin seed oil capsules off Amazon, much cheaper than Jude - they are working a bit 😃

Solefenacin isnt doing much for me.
I'll Google Mirabegron. Can you tell me if it helps, does it stop the urge and the panic to get to a loo in time?
