Don't think so, depends when I have to pick them up. Dd is 11 and is no bother, ds is 3 and is going through 'a stage' where he's a little devil one minute and a little angel the next. Doesn't make for a relaxing time. Todays example- just bought big bottle of baby bath this morning, within 3 minutes of coming home, he's tipped it all down the loo to see bubbles- arrgh! Ten minutes later it's all I love you mummy, read me a story mummy, sit on your knee mummy.

Hi there Aimsmum.

I'm still planning on coming along and look forward to meeting you - and dh is looking forward to the peace! And I won't have to listen to him shouting at the referee while he watches the Enlgand-Ireland match.

I might be a few minutes late - it depends on how quickly I can get ds to leave the swimming pool after his lesson and then on how quickly I can get my hair dried. But I'll do my brst to be there for 12.

Pinkbutterfly - we don't bite, honest . Hope you'll feel you can come along to another meet up in the future, once you "know" us better. "Posters" are "people who post messages" - ie what I am doing right now.

KristinM - sorry to hear you'vve had the flu. Dh had it really badly (lots of sweating - the bed was soaking at night and he said he felt like he'd been at the bottom of a rugby scrum), complete with relapses and ds also had it, but not as badly. I thought I'd got away with it, but came down with a mild version in the middle of the week - but am OK now.

Sammac - I'll keep an eye out for you.

Hopefully, one or two of the others who'd hoped to come along will still have a chance to see this and turn up.

Aimsmum - havent seen Hansel and Gretel but I like taking DD to the theatre. Would you not recommend it?

Praying??? That they would escape from the wicked witch????? Confused

Prettybird · 26/02/2005 22:00

Aimsmum - I did struggle to get my photo down to size. SOmeone on the original thread (where tech does his trial run) suggests what to do - but it was still a porcess of trial and error.

In Microsoft Photoeditor, it was a combination of re-sizing, changing the colour to from 256 to 8 colour and I might also have changed it to a .png file. I can't remember exactly, as I tried so many combinations. I just kep t looking at "Properties" until I got it to under 18k.

There must be a better way, as others have managed to post much clearer photos than I was able to do.

KristinaM - I seem incapable of spelling your name right - says I, making a special effort this time.

Am up and don't have sore head(thankfully) so should make it okay. Just need to get myself together in time. Why can I get out the house with 2 kids on school mornings by 7.45, but weekends go to pot? See in a bit

Sammac - you may blame your turning up late on me - I accept full responsibility!

Had a nice time today, and dd got her picture, which she likes a lot and will be going up on her bedroom wall. Spent the next hour shopping, which was a rare treat for us, and didn't do too much damage.

Aimsmsum, it's nice to put another face to a name, and I'll get you the Paris books when I'm finished with them.

Look forward to the next one!

It was nice to meet you Aimsum - and good to see you again Sammac.

Hopefully next time we can get a few more people along!

Your daughter's picture was great - I wish I'd realised what they were doing so I could have got ds' name down. Maybe next month I'll drag dh along to Princes Square.

Ds is still playing with his kite - and getting the cotton cought up everywhere.

I was thinking about soft play areas for a future meet-up as you'd suggested Sammac. There's one in Shawlands that I've never been to. I could check it out to see if the eating/coffee area is visible to the play area.

Prettybird · 02/03/2005 12:17

I meant tosay - I'll look out our Insight Guide to Paris, which was good for intereraries etc.

When are you off to Paris Sammac?

Hiya, soft play would be good and St Enoch's would suit me fine, easy to get parked.

We are off to Paris on 8 April. Awaiting tickets and still to get accomodation sorted. Going to look at getting an apartment rather than hotel, so been checking things out,but nothing booked. We will also have a few days in London and will meet up with Aero too, which dd and me are really looking forward to. Had hoped to get to see mary poppins, but don't think we will have time unless I can do a matinee.
