cheese - lol where is that?
Oh St Cleer bigbagmouse - that would be great. got married and honeymooned in st neot, family stayed in st cleer. oh its very nice indeed, affordable though?

Bere Alston, gunnislake and calstock...I have considered bere alston before actually. Property came up for 100k!!!! perfect, needed some work, renovation, but it was great, we were not quite ready. It was at auction (went for that, not guide price) and doubt another one will come up like that.

Will look at other places too, thanks for suggestions,

Found one in St Cleer 130K but a bit small for you, still you might get one come up with more space for just a bit more.

Bet you'd find something in Bere Alston in your price range though. Last time I looked the primary School there had a good reputation and the area seemed nice but that was while ago.

www.primelocation.com is a good resource for having a nose at what is about.

Pavlovthecat · 30/03/2008 23:18

this is nice
st annes chapel
looking at bere too...can buy a chip shop?

Did you know they shut the mcdonalds in tavistock? not that it has anything to do with cornwall, but reference to previous post, and, that I went to usa for 4 weeks and avoided mcdonalds the entire trip? [proud emoticon]

Pavlovthecat · 30/03/2008 23:20

oh i really do quite like it, shame about the kitchen being small, but cant have everything eh? garden looks nice.

EachPeachPearMum · 31/03/2008 12:17

BBM- you're pg!!!
Yay! Many congrats!
Haven't seen you around for a while- now I know what you've been up to

We spent saturday morning searching for the big bad mouse in the woods near us... dd was so excited- we didn't see him because it was sooo windy, but she keeps asking to go back and look

cheesesarnie · 31/03/2008 14:15

BigBadMouse!nooooo!just beutiful places!we did nearly move to launceston but at last minute landlord decided they didnt want to rent 3 bed house with garden to a family plus schools were all full so dd would have had to go to south petherwin which is lovely school but two in different schools wouldnt have been fun especially as i dont drive.

EachPeach Hello . I have been here spouting nonsensical rubbish as per usual . Been PG for 4 years 33 weeks now.....DS1 is going to come out reciting the words to The Gruffalo's Child at the rate we are going at 'story time'...your BBM hunt in the woods sounds like fun - I am huge and uncofortable atm so feel rather a lot more like the Gruffalo than the BBM (not much chance of me hopping onto a hazel twig right now )

Pavlov - I know! I was quite about the macdonalds in Tavistock! Why did they shut it? heres one in Bere Alston for you. I know this road as I was part way through buying a place there. It was quite quiet and there are footpaths down to the Tamar which were really nice. Walking distance to shops and schools. The one I looked at was on the other side of the road and they have big gardens and you have views down to the river from the back .

Cheesesarnie - missed you earlier post..DD2 slightly obsessive about cleanliness - really hoping it is just a phase but she goes mad if she gets the slightest speck of dirt on her hands, clothes etc. She likes to keep me on my toes at the best of time the cheeky monster

cheesesarnie · 31/03/2008 21:01

how old is she?hopefully phase!soon she'll be soo dirty youll be wishing she wanted to stay clean

OP posts:
BigBadMouse · 31/03/2008 21:47

She used to be a right filth-monster as she is very rough and tumble then she suddenly seemed to change. She's 2 at the end of April. Its so bad to the point she gags if she sees a bit of spilt food on the table or her highchair. She walks around the house poitning in all directions saying 'Mummy! Messy! Messy!' at the slightest thing - it's like I have given birth to my father

cheesesarnie · 31/03/2008 22:02

im sure my ds1 was similar age when he decided he hated dirt,he hated sand, mud, pens -anything that 'might' make him dirty.didnt last-in this house its impossible!

OP posts:
BigBadMouse · 31/03/2008 22:12

I have told her if she continues to feel this way about mes / dirt then she is in for a stressful time . My 'nesting' instinct is on complete overdrive atm so we are relatively tidy here...quite nice really - but I am shattered as a result.

So...am intrigued about your post on another thread about your DH and underwear . Mine has a wonderful habit of taking his off downstairs before coming to bed then leaving them on the arm of the sofa for me to clear away the nest morning. Prob is, the sofa is right next to the front door and if we have any callers before 10 am I sometimes have not got round to removing them

cheesesarnie · 31/03/2008 22:14

lol

EachPeachPearMum · 31/03/2008 22:59

BBM- I must have completely missed the fact you were pg then! 33 weeks- wow! Yeah- that final stretch isn't much fun...when you just want to meet them

Hope all goes well.

'DS1'???? How many you planning altogether?

cheesesarnie · 01/04/2008 11:48

i want another!!!

OP posts:
BigBadMouse · 01/04/2008 15:10

CheeseSarnie I'll pop one of mine round to you - just give me your address .

EachPeach - I think this will be the last one unless there is a lottery win on the horizon - our little cottage is having to defy the laws of physics to fit us all in (although I guess when it was first built it was considered very roomy for a family of 8 or so ). That said, I have worked out how we could cram another one in fairly comfortably - bunk beds are a wonderful invention .

cheesesarnie · 02/04/2008 11:19

ok-deal!

OP posts:
BigBadMouse · 03/04/2008 16:58

Right then - which one do you want? Can I interest you in an incredibly cute but very mischievious nearly 2 year old DD?

EachPeachPearMum · 03/04/2008 22:24

BBM- your dd2 sounds like my 2.2 yo- she has just got really 'OCD' about dirt- 'mama, nose running', 'mama, eyes wet', 'mama, finger dirty' etc etc.
Has she always been sensitive?

BigBadMouse · 03/04/2008 23:22

Eachpeach - Really?? Thats good to hear (prob not so good for you though).

It really is like OCD I am beginning to get a little worried (but then, for some reason, I am always worrying about that little one ). She used to be a right little dirt monster but it all suddenly changed - huge tantrums over slight spec of dirt on hand etc etc.

She has always been one to let things get to her very easily though - from the moment she was born . She is a right ruffian but if something gets to her it really takes it's toll. I hope that somehow I'll help her find a way to not let everything get to her. She is such a cutie and it is so sad to see her really upset by things.

Her tantrums are something else - they last 45-50 mins and she can have 8 a day at times. They are getting better thankfully and I am working at helping her to get over them more quickly and making them less stressful for her.

I could prattle on all day about her 'intriguing' behaviour

EachPeachPearMum · 03/04/2008 23:45

Sorry- i gatecrashed this thread
should we start another?

EachPeachPearMum · 03/04/2008 23:46

cheesesarnie · 04/04/2008 14:08
