Sorry Oggs, ma'am.

oggsfrog · 11/01/2008 06:47

forgiven Lyra

oggsfrog · 11/01/2008 07:15

Gah! Still not managed to make this bloody profile thingy work. I made my chicken visible to all and sure enough up came my gallery, but I name changed and had a look and it still let me see it. Does it still recognise the essential "me" and let me see it, or can everybody see it???

Ho hum. Essentially, judging by all your photos, you will be able to recognise me as the one with six double chins, a frazzled look, thighs the size of zeppelins, a belly that is so large it is almost a separate entity, an extremely hollow back and the apparent lack of collarbones...

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 07:52

I can see your gallery but there's still only a cockerel and a frozen river on it.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 08:33

Me too.
How did you sleep Lyra? Not long to go now until side effects pass.

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 08:37

Very badly. I went to bed at 10.30, which is really early for me, but I've been awake since 4.30 unable to get back to sleep. Boys were up at 5.30.
If you want to see a picture of DP he's in today's paper. It's a really bad picture though. He's much better looking in real life.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 08:39

Actually citalopram is pretty good for side effects unlike this one I'm on this time 'cause of breast feeding. In some ways it would be good to change as DP is on citalopram and we never run out when we take the same. but can't face the withdrawal then the getting used to a new one! Warning, you can feel seriously strange if you forget for a day or 2. I got muddled in the summer and started taking an antihistimine instead. I was about to go to the Dr as I thought I had an inner ear infection!

Berrie · 11/01/2008 08:40

Oh I'm sorry to hear that...it will pass really soon, stick with it!

Berrie · 11/01/2008 08:46

Can't find him online

Berrie · 11/01/2008 08:55

Wrong paper

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 11:22

His picture isn't in the online version. It's a pic of him meeting David Beckham yesterday. He's very pleased with himself now.

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 11:26

I just had a nasty incident driving home from school drop-off. i reversed into someone's moped after stopping at Co-op to buy milk. I went back into the shop and found him and told him what had happened and apologised, but he just started ranting at me and calling me an idiot. I explained that i just didn't see it (my back window is quite high and the moped quite low so I didn't see it in the rear-view mirror) and he just kept ranting about how it's 'people like me' who knock over cyclists because we don't look where we're going. he was a complete arse about it. i didn't have to go and get him, i could have just driven off, but i wanted to do the right thing.
Anyway, there's no damage to the moped but I've crack my rear numberplate so I'm going to have to get that replaced.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 11:57

Oh dear. Sorry about your morning. I hate people like that. It's like when you get in the way with the pushchair or the dc get in someones way and you apologise and they tut or just look cross instead of saying it's alright.

binkleandflip · 11/01/2008 13:13

aw poor Lyra, nothing worse than getting a nasty reaction when you are doing the right thing! Nobody was hurt and his moped not even damaged so why make such a nasty fuss? Try not to let it overshadow your whole day though, these things happen. I have backed into a few things in my time and its that horrible crunch that gets you in the belly I know.

I once left the handbrake off my car when rushing to get some bbq bricks from a garden centre....the car rolled forward and smashed into the front doors of said garden centre. Massive bang, everyone obviously looked oohing and aahing, some people screamed no-one was hurt thank god. When I saw it was my car of course I could have died of embarrassment but I had the lovely experience of having to claim the car and shamefully reverse it from the broken glass doors which theatrically then shattered to the ground all over the doorway. Cost my £1900 for new doors

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 13:27

Binkle! shock]
That's far worse than mine. I hope you didn't get shouted at. You must have been so embarrased.
it's been very quiet here today.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 14:47

Certainly has especially since I am still sofa bound!

Berrie · 11/01/2008 18:20

Coo it really is quiet after the excitement of yesterday!

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 18:44

Maybe reveal;ing ourselves has sent us all into shock.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 19:40

So...anyone around?

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 20:31

Me. I'm drinking some not-very-nice Co-op white wine and contemplating bed. I'm shattered.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 20:34

It's getting near time

Berrie · 11/01/2008 20:34

Co-op wine is more often than not, not very nice.

LyraSilvertongue · 11/01/2008 20:36

But no cheaper than Sainsbury's. I paid £4.99 for this bottle.

Berrie · 11/01/2008 20:37

Dh paid over a fiver for a Shiraz last night...it was only OK...
