Hello ladies

Still here, i lurk on the sleep boards mostly because that is my obsession. DD is 6 months and an increadible non sleeper so I'm always looking for people who are worse off than me to make myself feel better!

Can't make Thur affraid Michaelad, my sister is down for a couple of days.

BTW, what is housework I used to be obsessive about cleaning and I love it (!) but with a 6 monther who doesn't sleep I don't get a chance. LOL

michaelad · 17/03/2007 14:55

Hey ginger!Great to see you're back!

Are you glad to be moving back to London in August? I miss it sometimes (see earlier msg.) but then whenever I have to go into London I am glad to be back in my village at the end of the day. Everybody seems to be permanently in a hurry in Central London

OP posts:
gingerninja · 17/03/2007 15:01

Did I say I was moving to London? Must be my sleep lacking brain. No I'm returning to work in August (I work in Paddington) Not particularly happy about the commute, have worked in London for 10 years now and never liked the commute but now I have a little baby I'm worried about being away for such long days. Still, doesn't seem to be much work locally.

michaelad · 17/03/2007 15:06

It was probably just me not reading your post properly. Friend of mine has the same problem. She works in London, hates the commute and feels permanently guilty about not being able to spend time with her children. Slightly different here. I never even managed to start working in the UK before I fell pregnant with ds1. So for the last 5 yrs I have done "nothing but raise children" and I am starting to seriously envy anyone with a daytime job to go to

OP posts:
gingerninja · 17/03/2007 15:36

Absolutely, working will be a breeze in comparison!

michaelad · 18/03/2007 19:38

Well its ment to be snowing tonight ................ i'll belive it when i see it eh.

michaelad · 20/03/2007 11:19

Hiya, good to hear that you enjoyed yourself at Marsh Farm. I was pretty sure you'd like it! So, have you decided whether you're going to do dd's birthday there? Gets even better when the sun's out and everybody's taking their picnics with them. Another great place is Hever Castle! My sons love it there. Don't worry about Thurday! We'll just keep messaging and one day we'll all meet up

Do yous have any plans for the weekend?
Im going to stay at mums this weekend, if the weather turns good again we're going to do some gardening - DD loves gardening .... well she loves tiping soil everywhere hehe Also prob go swimming

michaelad · 21/03/2007 11:42

Hever Castle is near Edenbridge in Kent. Click \link{http://www.hever-castle.co.uk/here}. Pushchairs not allowed into the castle. But the grounds are well worth it..great for picnics etc. and they even have a watermaze.

hiya it can be pretty noisy at times like the easter hols are gonna be but it`ll be fun, never a dull moment the oldest 3 are full time at school so i only have my youngest frankie at home and she goes to playgroup 2 mornings still not enough hours in the day though but thats probably cause im on mn to much

MagicalMay · 23/03/2007 14:14

Hello mygirlsmum

I cant wait for her party, i just know its going to be great, its great to hear you liked it to.

4 kids .... are you mad?

michaelad do they have a holding place for the pushchairs at Hever Castle?

Not sure if im online this weekend - I hope you all have a great weekend

michaelad · 24/03/2007 12:32

Hmmh..can't really remember whether they do. We went down with several people, so someone always stayed behind and looked after kids and clobber while others went into the castle!
Definitely do let me know whether your ds party was a success..might look into it myself at some point.
Hope you all have a good weekend too. Not much happening here. Christening to go to tomorrow so that should be interesting!
