I am soon to be divorced and soon to be 30. Therefore I have found my niche with alcohol in the clubs Grin

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 13/04/2011 22:30

I need to join your club, I'm nearly 30 too and have been divorced but that in itself was cause for celebration!

Wine Cheers Grin

ChaosTulyReigns · 13/04/2011 22:31

What's blackcurrant sambucca?

No, don't tell, sounds dangerously tempting.

Valpollicella · 13/04/2011 22:33

You'll only end up forgetting to blow the flame out Chaos, and singeing your eyebrows off...

smokinaces · 13/04/2011 22:38

blackcurrant sambuccas are bloody gorgeous. no flame, but only £1-£1.50 in most clubs/pubs round here. So much tastier than any other shots - a few of them and a bottle of water and its a much cheaper night than most, yet you get nicely tipsy with a blackcurrant flavouring!

Only downside is they take a while to hit. so you can overdo them slightly.......

I bought some high waisted denim shorts today.
Thinking them with wedges, vest and a lovely kimono ish top thingy.
Leggings if cold, fake tan if not.

Waddayareckon?

Be nice. Grin

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 13/04/2011 22:45

MrsDV that sounds fantastic, very fashionable.

Valpollicella · 13/04/2011 22:46

That sounds lovely MrsDeVere

Valpollicella · 13/04/2011 22:50

NotShort, I will be wearing jeans, fret not!

OP posts:
thefirstMrsDeVere · 13/04/2011 22:53

Thankyou. I havent tried it all on yet so it may not look as good on my body as it does in my head Grin

Its the nearest I have come to a 'look' so far though.

Yay.

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 13/04/2011 22:57

The only look I ever seem to have mastered is the just been dragged through a charity shop backwards one Grin

I am just destined to be one of those people who can't do fashion.

Just as well seeing as I usually have baby sick/food/snot (delete as appropriate) smeared over me!

Valpollicella · 13/04/2011 23:19

Rest assured.

How can I put this.....

It's a piss up, not a fashion parade Grin

FellatioNels0n · 13/04/2011 23:20

5'2" here as well.

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 13/04/2011 23:23

Oh don't worry after a bottle glass of wine I won't give a rats arse what I nor anyone else looks like!

Wow I don't know why I thought you'd all be tall.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 13/04/2011 23:35

Its MY fashion parade. I havent been out since last July!

I love frocks and such and only get to dress up if I go to sainsburys. I work with small children so no scope there!

It is also MY piss up too though.

Yippee.

Valpollicella · 13/04/2011 23:42

Well in that case, you have special dispensation to parade as much as you want

Although I guarantee you'll do what I did at the Xmas one (alongside a few others) and take your shoes off about an hour after you get there Grin

FellatioNels0n · 14/04/2011 07:49

Well it won't be hard to spot Getorf then, if most of us are midgets!!!!

Alouiseg · 14/04/2011 08:06

Speak for yourself, some of us are distinctly average (of height).

Btw I love being in bed and Mumsnetting, just saying.

FellatioNels0n · 14/04/2011 09:48

This clearly going to fracture into two part towards the end of the evening - those of us who are young, single and want to go on somewhere afterwards, and those of us who are too pregnant and tired, or just too old to be allowed into anywhere trendy. Sad

I so badly want to chirp that I'll definitely be in the former camp.

Unfortunately I will be in the latter.

Goddammit. Someone stole my youth.

ensure · 14/04/2011 18:44

Right I have paid, I'm a midget too by the way just looking at the last few messages.
And I never go out anywhere, so I am considering buying and wearing some sort of ballgown for the meetup. And a crown.

methodsandmaterials · 14/04/2011 19:04

Excellent ensure!
