Flemish bond brickworks?

I know those are words. I can understand each one by utself but as a concept? Sentence? Thing? Wtf is that?

Mine too, dh has been working since 6.30 this morning, he took an hours break at 7pm to mow the lawn and has been working ever since. Yawn.

GetOrfMoiCase · 06/05/2011 23:01

The hours fly by don't they.

EVERY SINGLE BUILDING can ellicit a comment on a long journey 'look at that soldier course, it's rough as arseholes' etc etc ad infinitum.

Mind you I bore him to death talking about particle accelerators, so it is pretty equal.

GetOrfMoiCase · 06/05/2011 23:02

We are now sat here watching a western. With Clint bastard Eastwood.

Makes a change from Time Team I suppose.

GetOrfMoiCase · 06/05/2011 23:04

Val - it is a particular way of laying bricks where the bricks are laid alternately header and stretcher.

alouise just wanted to say you were BRILLIANT on that smacking thread.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/05/2011 23:06

link please to smacky thread.

is it sex-u-al?

Valpollicella · 06/05/2011 23:12

OP posts:
ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/05/2011 23:12

Grief will someone pass me some wine?

Valpollicella · 06/05/2011 23:24

Sorry, it's the only one I have. Although I have a feeling that's not a problem...

OP posts:
CointreauVersial · 06/05/2011 23:26

Here you go. There's about an inch left in the bottom of my bottle.

YankNCock · 06/05/2011 23:28

Sorry all, I'm going to have to bow out. DH is on a meditation retreat thingy in Wales that weekend so we're not going to be down in London like I thought.

I will have a glass of wine in my living room and toast you all on the night!

ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/05/2011 23:29

Thanks, you kind friends.

Oh!

Spot it again.

With the nice-ity.

Now.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/05/2011 23:30

I will virtually clink YankN's glass that night.

[whilst weeping]

Valpollicella · 06/05/2011 23:32

Yank, you know Methods is going to go postal on your ass when she sees your post.... Be grateful she's not about tonight Grin

But seriously, am Sad we have lost another..

OP posts:
YankNCock · 06/05/2011 23:42

He goes to a weekly meditation group and has wanted to go on one of the retreat weekends for ages now. It seems to help him get through life, and so long as I'm not expected to do it with him, I'm happy to be supportive! Occasionally you'll find him lurking in the Philosophy/Religion section (but he doesn't go by 'MrCock')

Valpollicella · 06/05/2011 23:47

Ah, good for him! Arf at MrCock.

Such a shame you won't be there.

No more drop outs people

Pleease.

OP posts:
Shodan · 06/05/2011 23:51

No Chaos.

No YankNCock.

What's happening?

It's all going horribly wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shodan · 06/05/2011 23:51
Valpollicella · 06/05/2011 23:57

None of that talk Shodan. It's still going to be fun.

FUN

Do you hear me?

It'll take more than losing Chaos and Yank to stop us having a good time. Get a grip

Grin
OP posts:
Shodan · 07/05/2011 07:19

I'm really looking forward to having fun.

and a full night's sleep uninterrupted by a three year old

nickelbabe · 07/05/2011 09:55

Jesus, what the fuck's going on???? Confused

noone else drop out!

Chaos "Now we are discussing how he whiled (sp?) away a 2.5 hours commute with a broken car stereo."

apparently you're right with your spelling - to while is an old english form of a verb.

can't believe your DH is "ingratiating" himself by boring you rigid on a phone call! does he not realise that is more likely to make you pack your bags?

Your children seem to be old enough to be entertained by DH - and the 5year old can hang around looking cute.

kc0rns1lk · 07/05/2011 10:39

I'm wondering whether AnnieLobesender will have changed her hair colour again. My money's on pink this time.

AnnieLobeseder · 07/05/2011 17:08

Ooooh! A challenge! Any other takers on the bet? I shall decide what colour to be closer to the time. I am currently multi-coloured. (Don't ask)

Anyway, my friend who was considering coming and sharing my hotel room with me has wimped out. So I have half a room going at the Farringdon Travelodge. Now, I'm not sure if it's a double or a twin, so consider whether you'd be happy to share a bed with a strange women before you express an interest!! Grin
