I am so buying that wig, it's fantastic & my hair is also to short to perm Grin

I hate my new hair. I want my old hair back.

OWWWWWWWWW my head/whole body/lungs especially, are dying. I am too old for all this going out malarky. Went to the pub for a couple of drinks. Turned into "ooohhh karaoke, get me some Tequilla and I'll sing Grin" Then into "ooohhh clubbing seems like a great idea, lets go!" Didn't get home until 3.30am. If the meet up leaves me in this state I'm not even going to make it home!

On the bright side the amount I smoked last night has well and truly made me quit for today at least. Even the thought of having one is making me feel sick.

methodsandmaterials · 17/04/2011 12:34

I think you'll look very becoming.

Blatherskite · 17/04/2011 22:43

So where's this canape menu then? Is there anything I can eat?

MrsShrekTheThird · 18/04/2011 01:28

now can't come. DH's niece (which sounds like a distant relative but isn't for us as the family is so small) is having her dd christened on the morning of the 22nd, which has been moved from its original date. Am mightily pissed off, I can tell you as plans were made for childminding, almost sorted for transport etc, grrrr.

methodsandmaterials · 18/04/2011 08:31

Oh mstt that's rubbish!
There's no chance that you could get the last train home? Or leave super early in the morning and be back in time? (I ask having no idea where you live).

bigkidsmademe · 18/04/2011 08:43

blimey!

I go away from Mumsnet for a while and there are TWO meet up threads?? I'm getting very excited now. DS is 3 months so I've not been out on the lash since March 2010. My 'sophis London' tag will fall off as I start singing and probably vomiting at 8.30!

Anyway. Whatever dress I get for this also needs to be my summer wedding dress as I don't want to buy too many breastfeeding clothes. So I'm thinking of

this

or

this

so excited!

Blatherskite · 18/04/2011 08:45

I'm getting the last train home MrsShrek. DH has to be out at early o'clock to take his parents to the airport but I'm not letting it stop me :)

The meet-up is 6 days before my birthday and may be the only night out I get as the in-laws are our only babysitters.

Blatherskite · 18/04/2011 08:48

I like them both bigkids

BecauseImWoeufIt · 18/04/2011 08:55

I prefer the first one, if that makes any difference!

bigkidsmademe · 18/04/2011 08:58

me too I think! hurray

FellatioNels0n · 18/04/2011 08:59

Yep, first one. That one Terri Hatcher is wearing looks bit too frou-fou and makes the moggle look still PG.

nickelbaalamb · 18/04/2011 10:20

morning.
this thread moves on too quickly for me to keep up, but I'm still here Grin

blathers, I like the first dress best. The colour is divine. The second is cute, but a little too Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm for me.

bigkidsmademe · 18/04/2011 11:22

Is that at blathers or at me?

methodsandmaterials · 18/04/2011 11:25

Sorry bigkids I meant you! I am a fool.

bigkidsmademe · 18/04/2011 11:30

Seeing as mumsnet has spoken, I'll order today!

methodsandmaterials · 18/04/2011 12:34

Good girl.
Grin

Valpollicella · 18/04/2011 12:39

Methods has the lovely L emailed you the menu yet?

SpringHeeledJack · 18/04/2011 12:44

Hellooo all- and thanks for the pm, methods Smile

unfortunately dp has just (v abruptly) been made redundant and we are reeling a bit. It's unlikely that I'll be able to come- and, even if I did, would be sitting there all gloomy and pissing on everyone's chips

I will come next time, though

[resolute emoticon]

have fun!

methodsandmaterials · 18/04/2011 14:24

Sorry to hear that spring. That's bad news. All the best.

BecauseImWoeufIt · 18/04/2011 14:36

Sorry to hear that, SHJ.

SpringHeeledJack · 18/04/2011 14:58

thanks both Smile

Hope he gets something else soon
