I have promised my lovely DS's a trip over to Glasgow.......and told them we'd probably meet some of mummy's online friends......except I haven't arranged anything yet.

That would be fine for us. Need to be back home for 4 as I've got a virgin man coming between 4 and 7.

giraffesCantDanceInBrokenHeels · 12/08/2010 17:50

You have a virgin man coming between 4 and 7.

You have a virgin man cuming coming between 4 and 7 Grin

giraffesCantDanceInBrokenHeels · 12/08/2010 17:52

We wouldnt be able to stay very long at all - as really need to be back so as Sof can come round, but would be good to get out house as the inlaws from oz are over and err they find the girls a bit "loud" hmm. Anyway thats anotehr story. So being out the house would be good. And to see everyone would be nice even if its a flying visit, girlies love GG park.

toccatanfudge · 12/08/2010 18:09

late morning/lunch time would be fine for me - need to get over there first anyhow.

Giraffes!!!!! Wash your mind out!!!

Blush That was badly worded, I admit!! I have a repair man from virgin media coming to fix my V+. Is that better? Grin

Ok, so if you let us know what time your train gets in Toccata we can arrange when to meet. Wondering if it may be better for us to get the train too rather than trying to find parking.

toccatanfudge · 12/08/2010 18:37

well the trains leave Edinburgh for glasgow every 15 minutes - so you tell me a time and where to go and I'll be there

OP posts:
giraffesCantDanceInBrokenHeels · 12/08/2010 18:47

What station you get in to toc?

giraffesCantDanceInBrokenHeels · 12/08/2010 18:48

How earlys too early for you toc, you have the most children to get organised and the furthest to come.

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 12/08/2010 18:50

What station do you come in to? It's only about a 20min walk from either (according to website).

map here You need to move the map down just a bit to see Queen Street.

So 11.30? 12? How does that suit you Giraffes? And of course anyone else coming?

toccatanfudge · 12/08/2010 19:02

get into Queen Street.

it's about 45/50 minutes on the train, need to allow about 40 minutes to get from the flat and bus to Waverly. So about 1 1/2hrs to get to Queen Street..then another 20 minutes to get to GG

I can be out of here by 9am easy enough...

so - when do you want me Grin

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 12/08/2010 20:41

Looking forward to this- will be really nice to see giraffes again and think our boys are going to get on great Toc Grin

Hoping some more can make it too.

So how about at the front of the people's palace at 12 - or just inside if it's raining? There's a massive fountain you can't miss. I'm the flustered overweight one with 3 kids - the only one of you I know is Girrafes!

midnightexpress · 12/08/2010 22:47

I won't be able to make it I don't think, but just to let you know the World Pipe band Championships are at GG on Saturday so they'll be getting organised for that - not sure if it affects parking/access in the park on Friday - they were putting up tents and seats and stuff when i drove past this afternoon.

giraffesCantDanceInBrokenHeels · 12/08/2010 23:02

Toc you have mail :o)

Does littlest have a buggy? Bit of a walk to gg from queen street. We caqn get train to either swtation, but could meet you at queen street and walk down with you. About 20min walk. (kids pace) My 2 are good wee walkers. What time we meeting at gg? I could meet you half 11 at queen street? We cant stay for too long am afraid. So could walk you down, quick play, maybe picnic lunch or ill feed them on train home depending on their hunger. As need to get back for 1st birthday party.

giraffesCantDanceInBrokenHeels · 12/08/2010 23:08

Lyns of course welcome.

Nevergoogle are you around? email me on [email protected] and I will send you my number. And timdis (god its hard not to write peoples rl names on here, my brains so confused with sending fb messages with rl names and on here with other names, I could never lead a double life I would be blown in no time!) number as well (since she offered further up she doesnt seem to mind!)

I have to say now as I am being paid to look after these kiddies I cant promise 100% I can come, its likely I can but if I get them in the morning and Mum says oh they need to go to xyz then theres very little I can do. Have checked with her and it all seems clear - apart from apparently they want to go to the pet shop - well they can do that on Sat with me! But just want to warn you now, I will be gutted if that happens of course, am quite excited now! :)

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 12/08/2010 23:24

giraffes fine to give out my mobile -i don't mind who has it. Dh has my lappy just now so trying to do all this from my phone. toc has my number now. I'm just going to drive in so will phone/ txt you if i get lost!! :-):-)
