How to juggle everything?

Hi,
I just wondered if there's anyone out there that's juggling training for a new career alongside other commitments, or has done in the past?

I'm currently working three days a week in a non-related job. I'm doing two lots of voluntary work and I'm also working for an agency in children's social care, so that's 1 x 13-15 hour day a week as well (if the work is available). I would like to be a family support worker but to get a job I need a level 3 qualification. I'm looking at this at the moment at a local college but I just wondered if anyone has been in this situation before and managed to pull it off? I have two children as well.

Thanks for reading.

Can you give up the voluntary commitments for a short while? I did a masters while working part time. It was hard admittedly I also used some of my working hours to write essays as my job was fairly undemanding but it’s possible. I would go for it but accept you may have to prioritise this over some of your current responsibilities

Unless the voluntary work is absolutely necessary experience for your intended course you should give up both immediately!

Thanks for replying 🙂 It’s an option I guess giving up the voluntary. I’m a family support volunteer for a couple of hours a week and and independent visitor to a young person in care. So I’m gaining quite a bit of experience and I do love it. But on the other hand I need a level 3 qualification to get a job. Such a hard choice!
