If you've changed name for bootcamp, remember to post using your changed name!

Well, we've all survived week 1 and hopefully everyone is back in the groove. There has been some great progress and people have navigated the challenges of real life.

Here's the spreadsheet link to spreadsheet If you don't want to be on the spreadsheet, let @FinallyHere know and your name can be removed.

Here's to another good week of delicious food and healthy losses.

Little non-scale win here - I bought a pair of summer trousers ten days ago and they were just a wee bit tight - they now fit perfectly! Very satisfying.

Just4June · 14/06/2025 16:19

@Quashsquash that's such a good feeling. I really like the sense of my clothes being looser - until they get too loose and I look a bit scruffy!

B - boiled egg
L - scampi in a sauce with cream, lemon, parsley and sherry. Delicious, from a 1964 Fanny Craddok recipie book. It makes very funny reading. Now we expect every recipe to have a list of ingredients and a clear method. This book is like a rambling conversation with descriptions, ingredients and process all intermingled. And the 'measures' are so mixed: a claret glass of sherry, an eggspoon of pepper, an ounce of parsley, a teacup of cream... The subsequent recipe contains a warning about not cleaning mussels properly and the risk of death!
D - cauliflower kedgeree (fried shallot and cauliflower rice with lots of curry spices; boiled egg; smoked fish. Served with mange tout and buttered leeks.

There’s a lovely recipe for low carb moussaka in the Low Carb Recipe section (the meat thread)

Thank you x

Morning all.
I've been quiet this week because I've basically just been eating salad, but I enjoy reading what the rest of you say.
Lost another 2lb today, which I'm very pleased about. My goal for this bootcamp was a stone, so that's 6lb to go (it's just a short term goal, because I'm big). I'm expecting more of a slow down as we go through June, but remaining optimistic I'll lose another 4 lb by the 30th. And, actually I have another 4 weeks before my holiday, so hopeful I'll lose that plus another 4 or 5 lb before I go away, which would be amazing.

Good luck on the scales tomorrow everyone.
My goal this week is to definitely keep up with the water. I've drunk loads, but not sure it's been enough each day. So that's my 'thing' to keep an eye on this week. Not been feeling hungry which helps. There are work drinks this coming Friday, which I'm going to attend, but I have to do a big drive on Saturday, so hope to get away with either just water or 1 half a beer. I've already told them I'm not staying long.

Good morning everybody, the new week 3 thread is HERE

Come on over and chat, and update the spreadsheet if that's what you're doing. In any case, have a look at the tabs on the spreadsheet for bootcamp lite and for the carb counts in fruit and nuts, all of which can be included from now. Although we don't have to and can stick with strict bootcamp for the rest of the month.

@RockyRogue1001 great progress, and you have a good plan for keeping going until your holiday. Are you enjoying your salads - do you stick to the same things or change it round a lot? I got Caeser salad on the menu for today.

Forgot to post (and really must get on to the spreadsheet Blush ) that I was down to 12st 5lb on Monday and down to 12st 4lb since Wednesday. Smile

I’m also feeling very Halo as I made a batch of tablet earlier this week it’s my kryptonite and didn’t have a single piece - not even the soft ball test which I actually threw out Halo

Last night’s supper was griddled lamb leg steaks marinaded in olive oil, lemon juice and oregano, served with buttered broad beans fresh from the garden Smile

It’s been a mixed bag for me this Bootcamp. Work has been uber stressful leaving little time for planning. Has meant on several occasions I’ve gone for the quick fix carbs. So I’ve been a bit up and down but since sticking to largely salads with the warm weather, I’ve dropped a tiny bit. Not as much as I’d like. Well done to the more disciplined low carbers! I’m enjoying seeing what others are making and will add those to my list of meals.
