Summer Low Carb mini-Bootcamp sign-up thread

@Oneborneverydecade and I are running a mini-Bootcamp starting on Monday 2nd August. This will be a six-week Bootcamp ending on Sunday 12th September. You can choose to start with two weeks of strict Bootcamp, or stick with Bootcamp Light for the whole six weeks. The Low Carb Bootcamp rules are here if you want to know more.

@BIWI will be around to offer support but we're giving her a break by handling the starting of threads and the spreadsheet side of things. We'll also be chatting about how to eat while you're on holiday so don't feel that you can't sign up because you've got a week away this summer.

If you want to join in then sign up by cut and pasting the list below and adding your name to the end. If you don't want your weight to be recorded on the spreadsheet then put NO SPREADSHEET after your name.

Had a lovely new thing for dinner - omelette wraps. Eggs, milk, chives and ground nuts (NOT suitable for strict BC) could leave them out to form a very thin omelette / pancake.

Flipped and cooked on both sides then left to cool. Spread with cream cheese / sour cream and add smoked salmon / avo / tomatoes / cucumber / lettuce.

Was quick, gorgeous and very versatile.

@FusionChefGeoff they sound amazin, I never get fed up of eggs, luckily. I am making roasted courgette, feta and egg muffins as I type!

I'm starting today - I have already lost 3 stone, but have maintained for the last 6 months, which is fine but I reallly want to shift the final 1 and a half stone to be where I was pre-kid (11 years ago!).

Please may I join you? I have been eating LCHF on and off for a few years but made a concerted effort to start properly again in May half term - have lost 17lb so far but would like the accountability/motivation of bootcamp to help me stay on track over the summer.

@BIWI - the low-carb, high protein, high fat way of eating I've been following for a while now clearly doesn't suit my metabolism, and I don't find it easy to lose weight on it. My blood test results today show high levels of uric acid and quite high levels of cholesterol, and a lot of the foods I've been eating whilst following this way of eating are probably the cause of these bad results, so I'm going to be taking a different approach from now on, and will be deliberately eating more "good" carbs and less protein, along with vegetables which don't promote uric acid in the blood! So low-carb bootcamp is definitely not for me at the moment!
