Week 3 - the parting of the way! - Low Carb Bootcamp

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet

Hope you've seen a good result, making for a very satisfying first two weeks.

Now. Those two weeks were probably quite tough, so if you want to, you can now move on to Bootcamp Light - the rules are on the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

Essentially this means you can start to skip breakfast (or another meal) if you want to - if you're finding that you're not hungry. (Please don't skip meals for any other reason)

You can also introduce some fruit - mainly berries - in moderation, and also nuts and seeks - again, in moderation - and alcohol - IN MODERATION!

But. It's very often the case that in weeks 3 and 4 your weight loss will slow right down. Sometimes you may see a slight gain, even though you know you've been following Bootcamp to the letter. So you may not want to relax things quite yet.

Entirely up to you.

Remember, though, if you choose to stay on Bootcamp, please remember to make sure you're getting your carbs in the most part from vegetables and fruit - you need that for proper nutrition.

If you like you can do a hybrid - Bootcamp during the week and Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

But whatever you choose - good luck and I hope you have a good week. Flowers

Hi all gosh thread moves fast and furious.

Sticking with today is day 1 of 57 and tomorrow is day 1 of the rest of your life to do everything you have wish you had already done and haven't.

It's a wonderful day for unlike before when we just winged the days away. We now KNOW what we want.

So plan it visualize it and achieve it.
Make that regret list into a bucket list

Last night was doing the I fancy chocolate hunt in the cupboards had none. so tried a tiny crumb of the cacao butter just suck on it and it taste like rich chocolate leaves a silky fat glaze over mouth that satisfied the craving. No sugar no carb just 1qram or less of chocolate fat.

Bag of the butter was pricy but use such a little amount will last whole of BC for sure.

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 25/10/2017 23:39

Oops today is Wednesday day 1 of 54 left on BC.

YoLoNovVitMe · 25/10/2017 23:46

Must try your BPC grah it looks sumptuous.

singadream · 25/10/2017 23:48

I have been the same weight for three days now

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 25/10/2017 23:49

@78Ash when i said tastes like toast it was supposed to include "very butterery toast AND COFFEE"

When you made it, did you blend for a couple of seconds?

Be quick if using a cup blender as pressure from hot liquid builds up fast. Do less than 3/4 of your cup to be safe.

US cup size is generic its about an old fashion tea cup. Just use the Same "cup" for each ingredient and the portions work out.

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 25/10/2017 23:55

GREAT SPEECH.

Hippadippadation · 26/10/2017 06:36

Morning! Hippa the hippo checking in - managed to put on 3lbs since Saturday! I think it's TOTM coming up though, I can actually see the water retention on my legs and stomach. Also feel like I need an ahem movement but nothing is happening. Angry

C4 is awake but sleepy and can't breathe unventilated at the moment. Hopefully she'll be back to causing havoc soon.

Food plan today:
L - egg, avocado, spinach scramble
D - leftover roast pork & veggies

SayrraT · 26/10/2017 06:37

sing you won't lose weight everyday you know! This is why it's recommended to weigh less frequently. If you struggle to deal with seeing the same weight (or a gain) on the scales when you weigh daily then maybe daily weighing isn't for you.

grah that looks good!

SayrraT · 26/10/2017 06:40

Oh, didn't see hippa when I started my post. Great news about c4 can't wait have her back. Thanks for the update Smile

Rshard · 26/10/2017 07:10

Morning

Thanks for the update about C4 hippa

B - buttery scrambled eggs
L - cauliflower cheese with some salad/veg on the side
D - salmon fish cakes with salad/veg on the side

How’s squid for this woe? I have Jamie Oliver’s new book and dh wants to try a squid dish in there

YoLoNovVitMe · 26/10/2017 08:02

rshard unless squid is masquerading as a croissant then it's fine!!! Wink It is just meat. All meat is bc friendly. Make sure you fry it in plenty of oil. and dont overcook it to rubberyness

Rshard · 26/10/2017 08:08

Ha ha! Thanks yolo

blackteaplease · 26/10/2017 08:22

Great to hear C4 is awake.

I made a cheap and delicious dinner last night, got a 1 kg shoulder of pork for £3.50 in Tesco and made pulled pork in the slow cooker. I had intended to do celeriac gratin but ran out of time so I made wraps with iceberg lettuce leaves and cheddar.

Also I have to report that I did eat that slice of cake on my son's birthday and I enjoyed it. But I have just thrown out the last quarter as I wasn't even tempted. DH and dc are away and were supposed to take it with them.

CarbyDeadUn · 26/10/2017 08:28

I’m so flipping tired. I want to get running again but so knackered I can’t face it.
I started a new job a couple of weeks ago and it’s a bit overwhelming. I feel like a student again and know nothing. And there’s so much new stuff to think about and remember.
Hopefully it’ll wear off in a little while but right now all I can do is sit and blob and sleep.

However. I have not turned to my usual stress reliever (red wine). Which is a bit of a miracle.

Flisspaps · 26/10/2017 08:28

I’ve been doing appallingly this week.

Not enough water. Full on carbfest since Saturday. We went away for the weekend, the kids are away on holiday this week so we’ve not done a full food shop and I’m getting up/getting home from work late (so not having time for breakfast or to prep lunch or tea)

Back to the start for me.

Scabbersley · 26/10/2017 08:33

I have celeriac! They are 20% off in waitrose.

I am making a lasagne today with either courgettes or aubergine (or both) instead of pasta. I'd like to bake the aubergine slices in the oven with olive oil and then use them. Would that be OK?

Thiswillbemyusername · 26/10/2017 08:38

Morning peeps

I am trying to motivate myself to do a run on the treadmill this morning. I haven't moved yet Grin I don't know whether it's best to do it before or after breakfast. I think 'after' is going to happen. B will be sausages, eggs and mushrooms I reckon

singadream · 26/10/2017 08:55

Big challenge today. Am staying home with kids (half term) as in no activities planned. They have requested pancakes - need to not scoff the lot myself with maple syrup - and also having their mates over later for Halloween treats. Aaaaargh, sweeties

FurryTurnip · 26/10/2017 08:57

Morning all!

Did a sneaky weigh in this morning and another 1lb off so am well chuffed. Am seeing the benefits of actually sticking to this (rather than doing it half arsed and cheating as I normally do). Feeling so much better in myself, waking up feeling bright rather than groggy, healthy skin and appear to have less cellulite and looking a bit more toned, despite doing less exercise than usual because of lack of time during half term. Must not fall off wagon again! (Will repeat this hourly!)

B: cheesy buttery scrambled eggs
L: cauli rice with courgette, mushroom and spinach in stilton sauce
D: no idea... May attempt the fathead pizza as sounded gorgeous

Those of you trying to find inspiration to run outside or go on treadmill - just tell yourself you will do 5 minutes. Don't commit to half an hour. Just get moving, raise your heartrate, remember how good it leaves you feeling.

Scabbersley · 26/10/2017 08:58

Apart from my carby twat madness yesterday I've found it quite easy to resist pancakes, apple crumble etc.

Have a blinding headache today and ache all over. I'm sure this is some sort of retribution from the Goddess of LCHF Sad

YoLoNovVitMe · 26/10/2017 08:59

this i always find it hard to exercise on a full stomach.

scabber that's exactly how I do mine. Oven bake first.

Well done carby and blacktea you go girls!
