Anyway, for the second time of trying here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Hope you see good results today, and good luck for this week

Did the recipe thread used to be a sticky BTW? I keep losing it now and was sure it used to be at the top.

ChesterDrawers · 09/12/2015 13:32

Ever feel like you are talking to yourself? Well, all the time actually and I don't usually let it put me off so why should this be any different Grin

Am just making flaxseed bread, first time this BC and I am very excited to have something verging on a sandwich for my late lunch. Even tempted to make some nice LC soup so I can toast it and dunk it in. From memory it's not far off granary type bread texture so this is me now ---> Smile

BIWI · 09/12/2015 13:35
Grin

Yes, it should definitely be stickied. It keeps coming unstuck though. I'll ask MNHQ to re-sticky it.

Thanks for your support Flowers

Day 2 plateau-break

Feel knackered after going to the loo every hour to expel revised water intake Confused hoping there's fat coming out with that !!!

B:2 black coffee
L: 2 thick bacon rashers plus fried mushrooms
D: chicken breast fried with curry powder, fried cauliflower & leek

3 litres at 4pm. Will do another litre and stop at 6pm in hope of a better night of sleep.

Chester how did your flaxseed bread turn out?

ChesterDrawers · 09/12/2015 15:46

Yay, people Grin

Turned out well Turkey. Not actual bread, of course, but a pretty good substitute when you've not had any of the real stuff for nine weeks.

I had three slices with lots of butter and marmite and one with a bit of cheese and am stuffed now.

Just hoping the flax doesn't have an, errrm, adverse effect on me as I'm off to get my hair coloured in a bit and that could be a bit awkward in the hairdressers!

Gcalgske · 09/12/2015 21:14

Hello everyone
Just checking in. I've got a stinking cold and have allowed a few non bc items to pass my lips in the last couple of days, but I'm koko.
I'm determined to get another couple of pounds off before christmas.
My boss is taking us to an 'all you can eat' chinese buffet next week. Think I'm going to struggle a bit there!

Need to up my water

ChesterDrawers · 10/12/2015 20:27

Evening all,

Sorry you're not well Wombat Flowers Chinese buffet sounds delish tricky too.

Well done on your panto trip Lex - oh yes, you did Grin

Today has been a day of bacon, God I bloody love the stuff, especially in its crispy M&S form. Was going to make a fathead pizza for tea but as I'm on my own I really could not be arsed - maybe tomorrow.

B: two slices of flax bread with butter and marmite - amazeballs!
L: M&s crispy bacon strips, three mini cheeses
D: three slices of flax bread topped with avocado, m&s bacon, square of 85% choc, glass of red

ChesterDrawers · 10/12/2015 20:30

Meant to say welcome back Gcal, your cakes sins are absolved by your LC baileys recipe and KOKO Turkey, hoping you break your stall.

Nigella, I never get a funny taste, but probably all my friends and fairly would disagree Hmm

ChesterDrawers · 10/12/2015 20:31

Lordy, sorry for the typos, not pissed I promise, just trying to watch Masterchef while MNing.

Gcalgske · 10/12/2015 21:27

B: creamy coffee
L: marmite cheddar bites
D: chicken curry with buttered cauliflower
Cheddar crisps with marmite and butter

Craving marmite Xmas Hmm

LexLoofah · 11/12/2015 14:56

gcal you had me at cheddar crisps with marmite, mmmm. I seem to remember ages ago you posted or mentioned a low carb-ish sausage roll recipe, do you just use the almond pastry ? Bit worried it will taste like sausages wrapped in marzipan? Would be nice to make over Christmas.

B - coconut porridge to the rescue
L - cheese spread with butter, ham, cucumber
D - not sure going to a woodland illuminated trail thingy so will get something there, might be the night for a cheat if it is something festive and worth it, if not will be water and a cup of tea

wombat hope you are feeling better, I have an annoying tickly cough which I am trying to flush out with apple cider vinegar but it is stubbornly clinging on

ChristmasTurkey2015 · 11/12/2015 15:04

Day 4 plateau-break

B: 3 creamy coffees (can't stand black)
L: half portion left over dinner from last night

Billionnairewannabe · 11/12/2015 17:24

Wombat hope your cold's better - mine gone now but it is hard to follow regime.
Had some difficult news On Wed which put me off food so been picking at nuts as not fancied anything. Getting back to normal now.

B - Pret pot of salmon/egg salad (Pret is great if out & need LC)
L Caesar salad with not much Caesar!
Really want fish for tea but I love fish in breadcrumbs and can't really stomach any other kind. Any substitutes/suggestions please?

Lex lol at "you had me at.." Think the 10 weeks LC is starting to show now Grin

ShebaQueen · 11/12/2015 17:32

Hello everyone, just checking in, have had a good week despite two nights out, my willpower held thanks to good preparation and eating beforehand.

Lots to do this weekend, planning to get my wrapping done, tree up etc. plus catching up with some friends who will be away at Christmas. Looking forward to spending tonight on the sofa though!

Have a good weekend all. "See" you all on Monday for the weigh in.

Gcalgske · 11/12/2015 20:06

I used Fat head crust lex. Mustard smeared inside. Yum. Not flakey but really nice.
I also made sort of pasties and samosas (replaced potato with swede) both were great.

Gcalgske · 11/12/2015 22:37

Thanks Chester X
B: creamy coffee, marmite cheddar
L: creamy coffee, ham and cheese omelet
D: chicken thigh roast in olive oil, Brussels sprouts in bacon, butter, shallot and Brie

NigellasGuest · 12/12/2015 12:12

Lex - woodland illuminated trail thingy sounds magical! What is it?

I'm weighing myself on Saturdays this time round. My thinking is that if I see a loss then I'm motivated over the weekend, which traditionally is a time of giving in to a few non LC "treats". Happy to say this morning I've lost some more lbs. It looks like I've lost nearly half a stone in 2 weeks! I say nearly - my scales are VERY low tech so can't tell precisely. I had some snazzy digital ones but they broke.

I find that the more water I drink, the more thirsty I get - I have to try to limit it after 4pm so that I'm not up in the night!

I made celariac gratin with anchovies, chillies, garlic, double cream and had that last night - didn't even fancy the pizza that the rest of the family were indulging in!
Well done all LC-ers - I love reading your lists of what you've been eating.

LexLoofah · 12/12/2015 17:06

gcal that sounds genius thanks

nigellas it was pretty special - at the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, not sure if other forestry commission places are doing similar thing. Lots of the trees were lit up different colours, one had a glitter disco ball and smoke machine, a few had lights and bubbles for kids big and small. Quite magical even going round with a thousand other people. Planned cheat never happened as DH somehow lost our rucksack so had to go back round again to find it and by then it was too late as DCs were done in and ready for home so it was a cuppa and some choc for me when we got back

billionaire ha ha yes! Fish: I have coated in things like coconut/ground almonds/ chopped hazlenuts/ground flaxseed after dipping in egg of course. Or slather in pesto if something like salmon or meaty white fish.

I think I am going to drop out from today, well not post food or expect a loss anyway as visitors coming tomorrow and we are doing an early Christmas with them and then DH and I going away for the weekend so will start Carbmas earlier than planned and then get back on 1 Jan - will keep checking in though

Billionnairewannabe · 12/12/2015 19:29

Thanks for the fishy advice lex hurry back - we'll miss you. I'm only doing carbmas on 25th as any longer then I know I'll be a lost cause. I'm not planning too many carbs - no roast tattles but I will need a bit of stuffing, some Buck's Fizz, and a few chocs!

I'm finding two meals a day does it for me now, especially when not working.

Brunch - 2 LC sausages, omelette with ham & cheese & green beans
Tea - chicken breast stuffed with Gruyere wrapped in prosciutto, with cauliflower couscous stir fried with shallots, beans, little bit of red pepper.
Delicious! Absolutely stuffed now.

Usual Weekend water struggles.

Gcalgske · 13/12/2015 00:47

B: coffee with cream
L: 3 egg omelet with butter, ham, cheese, tomato and shallot
D: pulled pork with butter melted on and hm bbq sauce (made with a tiny bit of erythritol in Xmas Hmm) and hm coleslaw

A few blueberries at a kids birthday party.
Lots of water

Gcalgske · 13/12/2015 00:51

Billionaire one of my favourite crispy fish dishes is cod coated in flax seed. It's yum. Also prawns in desiccated coconut (unsweetened obvs) or macadamias. Also the canned dried Parmesan or 'Italian style cheese' is awesome for breading everything. From chicken wings for 'southern fried' to cod for fish fingers. I normally mix 50/50 with ground almonds on fish.
