Morning all. Hope you weren't blown away by storm Clodagh yesterday/last night!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation and delight

I'm at home this morning before I drive off to some research groups north of London, and not liking the wether forecast. I'm going to make a lovely, wintery, warming beef shin stew this morning, and get it in the slow cooker ready for later. (Not that I'll be eating it as I don't finish until 10.15pm so won't be home till well after 11)

Anyway, here's hoping for a good week for us all.

Flowers

Great result concept - I'm on week 2 too and trying not to get my hopes up as I know the loss will be smaller this week. Still, as long as it's in the right direction. Today I lived on adrenalin at work and had:
B: Avocado
L: a few slices of chicken on my way to a meeting (couldn't eat the veg whilst driving!)
S: 2 slices ham wrapped around ff cream cheese when I got in from work. D: Smoked mackerel fillet, big salad with mayo and some Total ff yoghurt.

Billionnairewannabe · 01/12/2015 21:56

Wombat well done on the BMI result that's tremendous. For me the health factor is enormous - my BMI is down to 26 from 31.
B - ff yoghurt
L - ribs
D - pastry less quiche & salad

Still struggling with full quota of water due to severe cold sniff but having lots of tea with slice of lemon.

ChesterDrawers · 02/12/2015 09:45

Morning all, another good day yesterday. I think having a moan and getting good advice has helped me relocate my BC mojo so Flowers for you all.

Scales are being kind too, back to 0.2lb away from BMI 25 which, even though I know it's a crock of shit, is something of a landmark for me.

Today's plan:
B: Buttery boiled eggs.
L: Hmmmm, not got a plan for this - eggs again maybe?
D: I have a whoopsie lamb steak which has been freed from the back on the freezer. I am going to fry it with lots of butter and have it with asparagus and maybe broccoli
S: Will probs have a BPC at some point as trying to up my fat this week.

WhiffyBiffer · 02/12/2015 10:29

Hi there, well done everyone. Yesrerday I think I had:
B: BPC ff yogurt
L: pork steak, courgette
D: pate and blue cheese with little gem lettuce

Snacks: probably too much cheese, cherry tomatoes, sliced chicken, pate

I sense im overdoing the cheese a bit. Also do I need to watch the cherry tomatoes?

LexLoofah · 02/12/2015 16:22

great news in the losses and spiralling BMIs

so totally off plan today, woke in excrutiating pain in my shoulders/upper back, feels like the time I popped a rib. DH is away, DCs bless them tried to help, brought me a tangerine and some chocolate which I gratefully scoffed as felt like I was going to faint and went downhill from there really as just grabbed convenient, no preparation snacks.

Going to start again tomorrow but worried it won't be much better as can't get apt at chiropractors until Friday so relying on hot water bottle, ibruprofen and choc for now - gah!

Wombatinabathhat · 02/12/2015 19:42

That doesn't sound good Lex I hope you feel better soon Thanks

Thank you Billionnaire Thanks

I've been to London today and managed to find a good place to eat. I had half a rotisserie chicken and a decent size salad with no dressing a bottle of sparkling water and all for under £10. I was really pleased Grin

Wombatinabathhat · 02/12/2015 19:44

I think this must be the quietest BC ever. The threads are usually really fast moving. I wonder if everyone is waiting for a January BC?

ChesterDrawers · 02/12/2015 19:52

Ouch Lex, that doesn't sound good. Rest up and get well soon Flowers

Wombat I've been thinking the same. It's so quiet on here at the minute. The first few pages at least are usually taken up with people checking in on a Monday morning. It's a shame because I like reading other people's ramblings and it gives me lots of ideas/enthusiasm.

Come back bootcampers!

Just had a lovely tea of Friday lamb steak with rosemary and mint, which went all crispy burnt, just the way I like it, with roast broccoli and asparagus. Debating whether to make a little LC baileys now from Gcal's recipe on the Christmas thread, just to try it, of course.

BIWI · 02/12/2015 20:00

Oh Lex, that sounds tough Sad Hope you get it sorted soon.

Dinner here is pan-fried duck breast, salad with onion vinaigrette (only a little bit of onion, just to give it the flavour), with a cauliflower 'couscous' - cauliflower blitzed in the processor, fried in the wok with onion, asparagus, red chilli, garlic, lemon juice and Parmesan.

Wombatinabathhat · 02/12/2015 20:00

Ooh! Bailey's you say? I'll have to check that out

soundedbetterinmyhead · 02/12/2015 20:13

Hi all, today I had
B: avocado, and a few sneaky almonds (5)
L: Chicken and salad (boring)
D: Baked aubergine slices (Instead of spaghetti) and quorn bolognaise sauce (quorn veg tomatoes, herbs), which was OK

S: some ham spread with cream cheese when I got home from work.

The last few days the scales haven't moved at all and I can feel myself cutting back on the fat as well as the carbs as I am so desperate for a result from all this discipline. However they are not playing ball currently and I am hoping for a miracle on Sunday morning. Must stop weighing myself twice a day - I am becoming slightly scales obsessed.

ConceptOfBiscuits · 02/12/2015 20:28

Thanks for all the well done's for weight lossSmile.

Hope you are feeling better soon Lex.

Well done for nearing your BMI landmark chester.

I'm off too eat some spicy cabbage and lamb stew as just got in from work, I have a crazy love for cabbage so am really looking forward to it.

I also need to neck some water, as behind today.

No gym today as Wednesday is my long day, but should be going tomorrow, hopefully its a little better than Tuesday.

BIWI · 02/12/2015 20:41

sounded

Hi all, today I had
B: avocado, and a few sneaky almonds (5)

Why? You know that nuts aren't allowed on Bootcamp! Even if it is only 5!

L: Chicken and salad (boring)

Perfect low carb food. So why boring? If you're having the same thing every day then yes, this will be boring. Why are you doing this? There are a million and one things you could make that would be low carb that wouldn't be boring!

D: Baked aubergine slices (Instead of spaghetti) and quorn bolognaise sauce (quorn veg tomatoes, herbs), which was OK

Why are you using Quorn? There are carbs in Quorn. Why aren't you eating full fat meat? Are you a vegetarian? The risk here is that you're not eating enough fat.

S: some ham spread with cream cheese when I got home from work.

Ham spread? Surely that's processed to heaven! We're trying to avoid processed foods. If you were hungry, why not some cheese? Or olives?

The last few days the scales haven't moved at all and I can feel myself cutting back on the fat as well as the carbs as I am so desperate for a result from all this discipline. However they are not playing ball currently and I am hoping for a miracle on Sunday morning. Must stop weighing myself twice a day - I am becoming slightly scales obsessed.

Well - looking at the above, you're not following Bootcamp rules! Please, please, please don't go down the low fat route. This way of eating is high fat not low fat. If you cut down on the carbs, and eat less processed food - as well as high fat food - you will see results on the scales.

And whatever you do, please don't weigh twice a day! You should be weighing once a day, first thing in the morning, after you've been to the loo. Otherwise, all you're doing is weighing what you've eaten and drunk all day!

OP posts:
Gcalgske · 02/12/2015 22:06

Food today
Creamy coffee
Bacon, coleslaw, salad
Cauliflower cheese with bacon and hm beef burger

Gcalgske · 02/12/2015 22:07

Chester it's lush. Been considering a wee batch myself....

ChesterDrawers · 02/12/2015 22:13

I may just have had a small sample Gcal, it is indeed lush. I didn't have almond so used vanilla and only had one small bottle of whisky that we've had for about a million years, so did a little batch.

Back on the no dairy, no alcohol wagon now, but that's definitely on my Christmas must haves list!

Gcalgske · 03/12/2015 00:41

It's nice with canned coconut milk too, if you want to do a dairy free version. Just saying!

ChesterDrawers · 03/12/2015 13:05

Oh that sounds amazing, another recipe to try. I am going to be an alcoholic by New Year at this rate.

Today is going fine - plan is:
B: eggs and mushrooms in lots of butter, BPC
L: parma ham, avocado, HM mayo, salad leaves
D: chicken in toms, mushroms, shallot, garlic, cauli rice

Might have another BPC later afternoon to put me on and keep me away from the mince pies as am at school play til 8 then got to get DS into bed before I can eat.

LexLoofah · 03/12/2015 13:29

thanks guys, actually had a better nights sleep than I thought and quite a bit better today but mega wary now so taking it easy, the vacuuming can wait a few more days

wombat, chester, I thought it was quiet too, wait until the Jan one though, sure that will be more popular!

B - late one of 3 sb eggs with butter, 3 kobanos from Sainsburys (have read about these on here before but only saw them today, very nice)
L - not that hungry so had some stewed rhubarb (just with water, no sweetener) and cream
D - not sure, taking DS out for tea, looked at the menu think I will have an anti pasti platter thingy and salad

WhiffyBiffer · 03/12/2015 13:57

Hello BC-ers, I'm still plodding on. It's the first year I can remember where I've been able to control myself around the kids felt advent calendar and not had to eat then refill before they notice! (I know it's only 3rd Dec but it normally would have happened by now!)

I did have one Percy pig sweet whilst filling it (it was the last one so knew there was no risk of snaffling a whole packet) and it was gross, sickly sweet.

Today so far:
B: BPC (I do mine with butter & cream is that ok?)
S: tbsp greek yogurt
L: ham and avocado salad with lidl real mayo

Gcalgske · 03/12/2015 16:50

Lex I missed you injury (must learn to read properly) Flowers
Not for now but once you feel a bit better I highly reccomend a Pilates roller. It's really just a cylinder of high density foam but it's bliss for helping your upper back. Hope it's easing.

Gcalgske · 03/12/2015 16:53

Considering making some psyllium flat breads to accompany the chilli I'm making but lacking motivation.

ConceptOfBiscuits · 03/12/2015 17:06

Went to the gym managed usual (I love that I put usual after 2 weeks) workout, but lower weights and still didn't add in my faster minutes.
Had a 2 hour afternoon nap though Shock.

Had some scrambled eggs, and spicy cabbage and lamb stew that was left over. Trying to get down some water now, so feeling sloshy and not thinking of dinner.

Gcalgske I keep seeing psyllium pop up in some low carb recipies, does it taste? Is it easy to get hold of?

Glad you are feeling better Lex.

soundedbetterinmyhead · 03/12/2015 17:38

BIWI Thanks for the advice, I feel well and truly told off Smile. It wasn't 'ham spread' (although that sounds nice!) but slices of ham, spread with ff cream cheese and rolled up like swiss rolls. I have avoided all the processed foods I can (except the ham).

Yes, we are vegetarian at home, although I have a box of cold chicken in the fridge now. So, I didn't have the spaghetti, but didn't want to make myself a separate meal. My family eat lots of nuts, seeds, quorn and fruit as well as bread and dairy, so this is tricky (not making excuses, honest!)

I guess I ate the almonds because I am a bit worried that having 1 avocado for breakfast (6am) is not going to last me through until lunch.

Today:
B:scrambled eggs with butter and a green pepper
L: chicken and tomatoes and salad
D: no idea yet...

Wombatinabathhat · 03/12/2015 17:58

B: Egg mayo
L: Lamb and veg curry
D: Chicken thighs covered in a spicy rub, salad and mayo

2 pieces of G&B 85% choc
