It's probably too early for a sign-up thread, but just wanted to put it out there Grin

Ah, but you're the one who did all the hard work, ready!

HemanOrSheRa · 05/04/2015 12:38

Right. I've been umming and ahhing about whether to do this for ages. I've just had my mind made up for me.....my Dad has just phone me to tell me he is getting married in September Smile. There is NO WAY I am looking like I am now in the wedding photo's. So I'll be in on 11 May!

SayraT · 05/04/2015 12:55

ready you were amazing on BC, I wish I had your willpower Grin

You need to come back so that you can inspire new BCer with your weight-loss story.

BIWI · 05/04/2015 12:56

That's good to have a target to aim for, Heman.

readyforno2 · 06/04/2015 16:19

Dunno about will power, I'm just very stubborn. I'll definitely be back!

BIWI · 06/04/2015 17:09

Came across this piece today, about food addiction which I thought was really interesting

It's very controversial, the whole issue about food addiction, but this piece was written about someone who is a former drug addict, and the parallels between drug and food addiction are astonishingly similar.

Makes you think about what sugar is doing to us.

I need formal bootcamps to keep me on the straight and narrow atm. May bootcamp is going to be needed, count me in.

RavioliOnToast · 07/04/2015 06:18

hi

can i join in? I need to declare my weight to someone, regularly, I can't hide it anymore, I don't really have the time or the money to go to sw/ww.

Hope you'll have me! Grin

trashcanjunkie · 09/04/2015 19:20

I'll be there! I'm going to be on every bc til I'm slim, which will be in four stones time. It was six stone when I started, so that's something.

Best case scenario, I could lose a stone every two months Grin so, eight months to go......

I'm allowed to exercise again, so yippee!!!!

MushroomTree · 09/04/2015 19:37

I'm in! Roll on 11th May. I'm 9lbs off target and determined to get there. Trying not to allow carb creep between now and May.

Pengweng · 10/04/2015 18:49

I'm in. Desperately trying to lose the "baby" weight. Bit embarrassing now said babies are nearly 3! EEK!

Hangonaminutewillyou · 10/04/2015 22:42

Interesting food addiction article BIWI, I think I do suffer from a sugar addiction problem but I just don't think I could ever say I'll never touch sugar again in order to conquer it...could anyone really manage to do that? And would anyone really want to? I know its evil but it's soooo good!!

OeufieTheEggaphant · 11/04/2015 20:28

I'm in! I've been umming and ahhing about doing LCHF for a while, but it makes so much sense from a biological point of view, and I'm failing to shift even a lb just trying to 'cut back'. I've gone from about 170 lbs pre dc to 240 now!!! Blush I have to shift it!

nappyaddict · 12/04/2015 17:18

What date will it finish?

SayraT · 12/04/2015 19:01

I think week 10 starts Monday 13 July.

nappyaddict · 12/04/2015 19:02

Ooh I go on holiday 14th so that will be perfect.

LotusLight · 12/04/2015 19:41

I might join - would be good to lose a bit of weight before summer holidays.

DramaAlpaca · 13/04/2015 10:02

Signing in.

oggs · 13/04/2015 10:41

Can I join in please?
Need to get back on the wagon after a week of pigging out. I'll use the time between now and the BC proper to get back on track.

FurFoxAke · 13/04/2015 10:50

Oooh yay! Aside from a hotcross bun and a bit of chocolate at Easter I'm staying on the straight and narrow as it were. Nice to have the extra kick up the arse bootcamp will give me though!
Grin

Dumdedumdedum · 15/04/2015 05:29

Hi, there, I'm definitely in too - I know low carb works for me, (more with high protein than high fat but I'm willing to give this a go!) and I still have to lose my baby-weight (she's nearly 20 now!) and more, which makes it around 6 stone to go... I was told I am pre-diabetic and to lose weight over a year ago, but have just done a yo-yo thing since then. I can go quite well for a couple of weeks and then I just fall off the wagon. I am reading "Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet" at the mo and am thinking it may help a lot, coupled with their cookbook and the support to be got here from "buddy bootcampers". Smile
I have a few questions in advance of May 11th: Do I really have to admit to my actual weight which I daren't even calculate in pounds, as kilos never made sense to me even when they got to over 100? Also, is the idea that we log everything we've eaten every day on the bootcamp thread? Finally, I've been looking at list of "allowed" veggies and I can't find endive/chicory. It's one of my favourite filling salads, is it not low-carb?

Norfolkandchance1234 · 16/04/2015 22:33

Yes please - I've been low carbing the last couple of weeks and I feel great for it.

So I'll be signing up

yongnian · 16/04/2015 22:42

I'm in I'm in I'm in!
Have been roping my ass back on the wagon after Easter binge-fest and now lost all but a pound of the water weight, so nearly back to where I finished last camp.
This time will be aiming for a very slow and steady loss as only have anywhere between 5 - 12lbs to lose now.
Aiming to ditch some of that before may 11 tho.

Norfolkandchance1234 · 16/04/2015 22:49

I've just seen the slow braised creamy cabbage recipe which I will be trying but cooking in the oven instead.

I invented a new recipe today which was shredded white cabbage in a baking tray with chicken breast on top covered in a bit of soy sauce, a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar to braise in in the oven. Delicious it was.

I was wondering if that's ok for the boot camp.

SayraT · 17/04/2015 07:16

No sorry Norfolk the honey and balsamic vinegar make it definitely not LC. Sounds tasty though!
