Morning all!

Here is the Spreadsheet and the Weight Tracker

I hope your weigh-in this morning is good! Just one more week, and hopefully we can shed at least one more of those pesky pounds.

I'm at goal Pisses! Today's weigh in was 8st 13lb 13oz and my goal was 9st! I've lost 36lb over the past 14 months thanks to BIWI's Bootcamps. Now I'm trying to work out what maintenance looks like. I'm starting weight training next week using the New Rules of Lifting for Women so I have my low carb protein shake ready and from here on in my weight will be going up again. My BMI is 20.5 but my body fat is around 25% so I need to build some muscle to get a better body composition.

That's fantastic Stunt, what an inspiration!

I am feeling ill today, was up half the night with stomach cramps and thinking I was going to be sick. I think perhaps I've been not eating enough veg/fibre this week, been ages since I went to the loo properly (tmi, sorry), so having a forbidden half banana this morning in the hope that helps. Don't feel hungry at all though, just bloated. Sad So am expecting a STS for Monday, which is fine (ie not going up, so good).

Have a good weekend everyone.

Congrats Stunt! Good luck with the weight training.

Btw, for anyone who might be interested, Aldi is now selling gluten free sausages, and they're 1g per 2 sausages!

They do have them periodically Schro but not as a regular thing. I usually get some from Sainsburys but they are not as low carb. The Aldi ones are rather solid in texture but good in a casserole.

I just tried them with fried eggs to dip, I really really like them and will go and stock up and freeze. :o

Sorry Pisses my reply to you earlier got cut short by a phone call. If you look at my weight loss over the past year then you can see that initially it was quicker (1-2lb a week on average) then it slowed down (0.5-1lb a week on average) with a lot of ups and downs and stalls. If I had a stall of four weeks then I used a carb refeed to break it but bear in mind that that only works if you're due a whoosh anyway. I think it can be a good idea for some people in terms of a leptin reset, this might be of particular importance in your case because you're very strict about what you eat. So a carb refeed could give you a leptin boost that lets your body know food is still in plentiful supply and it can keep losing weight. The other observation I would have is that I got down to 9st 6lb (which was my initial weight loss goal) and then it was months before I could persuade the scales to start moving downwards again. Yes there may have been a factor in the other avenues I explored: tracking my calories and macros, 14:10 intermittent fasting, carb refeeds and egg fasting. BUT I do think part of the issue was that my body reached a certain weight and it needed to stay there for a bit before weight loss could continue. As if my body's set point was being recalibrated. I certainly bounced around that weight for a long time without either gaining or losing weight. So in your case keeping on keeping on may be the best option, throw in a carb refeed every week or two and wait for the scales to begin moving again. I'm a big fan of tracking calories when you get close to goal. I know it goes against the Bootcamp ethos but in my case it only took a couple of days to figure out that I was eating too much, basically still eating the portions I needed when I was two stone heavier. At the moment I seem to only need very small quantities of food but that's only because I'm still comparing to what I used to routinely eat (and what got me overweight in the first place). I was out for lunch today and I only managed half my portion and that left me feeling stuffed. Before switching to low carb I would have et the lot! Have you experimented with intermittent fasting at all? 16:8 might suit you and if you look at the Leangains website there is information there on how IF targets the particular receptors on stubborn body fat areas.

My latest area of interest is a the egg fast (only eat eggs with one tablespoon of oil or fat per egg; a small amount of cheese is permitted). I don't like the egg fast as it stands because I don't think it is high enough in protein to avoid loss of lean body mass. So I started looking at ways to keep the good qualities of the egg fast (very low carb and highly satiating) without being so restrictive and low in protein. My version is still very low carbs (3%), but moderate protein (20%) and high fat (77%). You eat two eggs for at least one meal a day and for two meals when possible (unless doing IF in which case I ate three eggs for brunch). Your other meal of the day is meat or fish with very low carb vegetables or salad. Note I developed this concept for use when near to goal in order to lose the last few pounds. It worked exceptionally well. The choline in the eggs promotes fat burning and the very low carb content promotes satiety. The only downside was that it sent me into ketosis so I got the carb flu all over again for a couple of days. I also supplemented with magnesium and potassium. You're getting kind of technical with this modified egg fast though and what worked for me may not be necessary or even helpful for someone else.

Thanks for the advice Stunt and very well done Grin its good to hear of someone doing it and seeing where there intending on going.
I think I'll monitor for a few more weeks and then make a decision. doing lots of training at the moment but also had a number of social bits that I've wanted to join in on, so need to check where I truly am first.
Also it looks like been close to the 'egg fast' on the last bootcamp so may well add that one in for a bit of a kickstart.

Good luck with the scales

well, I've entered my weigh-in weight on the spread sheet and tracker and it looks disappointing on there. However, I did start uber the week before the official date so I had lost some before I got onto the sheet. My weight today isn't brilliant but I'm not feeling too bright. Think I accidentally got some gluten over the weekend as my stomach is rubbish and my BG is up. I do get weighed daily and use a tracker with a trend line and that is still down by around 3lbs since the 16th July. Not great by the standard of some of you lot but its a big improvement on sod all! Grin

I went back on the yoghurt and cream over the weekend. It was damage limitation as hubs was taking the Bank Holiday as an excuse to eat everything that wasn't screwed down. (Come to think of it he has a good set of screwdrivers!!) The luxurious feel of thick Greek yoghurt and some extra thick cream helps stop me feeling bitter and peevish when hes downing chocolate raisins! (OK, who am I kidding!) Grin

Back to basics for me.
