well I watched about half of it and fell asleep, then he went, he gave me a hug and I had this vision of him as a mannatee, which kind of confirms the relationship has lost its oomph.

My DS is still in his pj's, XH collecting him for an hour later so I'll get chance to pop to my mums.

Happy mothers day. Mechanic locked me in my bedroom from the outside this morning so I was not disturbed by the puppy or the kids. Then later I got woken with book tokens choc and a painting dd2 had done, plus a bunch of flowers. Mechanic had tidied up and we all had breakfast in the sunshine outside in the garden. I am currently in bed with a paper about to get ready to go visit his mum. Hope you all got spoiled

@ ninah - my kids are obviously taking their lead from yours and have been having an extralong bicker that started at breakfast, has continued through lunch (cooked by me ... mind you, they are only 5) and looks set to continue til bedtime at this rate - and seems to be about some plastic piece of crap that will, in a minute, end up in the bin!

I'm off to bed for a nap as didn't get in till midnight and got woken up at usual 6.45am by DS who doesn't do lie-ins ... and then need to do some marking/lesson-planning

Oh well, happy mothers' day to us all - let's face it, we bloody well deserve it!
