Are you working full time?

I agree with PP your DC need to be doing more for themselves. I hope things improve soon 💐

I have never done it, ChocolateCups, but I know I would be completely worn out so I sympathise with you.

Maybe the people you speak to have been doing it for quite a while and got into a routine, perhaps have help from grandparents - but there are many who are shattered, you are not alone in that.

I make them help on the weekends with cleaning but was told I was wrong for that on mumsnet and that they should be able to enjoy their weekends without being expected to clean up. The weekends is the only real time I get to do a proper clean.

F that. The people telling you it’s mean to have your children be responsible aren’t volunteering to clean your hose themselves, so they can pipe down!

Your DC are at a good age to learn to clean up after themselves. With four of them (plus you) it shouldn’t even take long at all. Get them to help clean. They can start cooking for themselves, and can help themselves to toast, eggs, easy prep meals and snacks.

Have you had your bloods checked? Sound like you need your iron levels checking OP. Do the older 2 kids take themselves to school? If you never get a break it does sound tough!
