due to critisism from MPs!!

Let's hope this means something constructive will happen with the way in which the CSA is run!!

He had to resign beofre I went round and shot him - the CSA have had me in tears several times over the past few weks - last night with releif because I managed to speak to a nice person - and he was sooooo lovely to me! mwah mwah mwah
to my nice man at the CSA.

It must be a seriously crap place to work tho'

Caligula · 17/11/2004 16:45

It's one of the worst places to work ever. A friend of mine used to work there and he said it was worse than the DWP!

Made him detest absent fathers as well - he saw so many examples of men who lied about their income to get out of paying for their own flesh and blood, while trumpeting about how much they love them. Seriously demoralised him, to the extent that he didn't want to have children. (He's recovered now though!)

fairyfly · 17/11/2004 16:47

How exciting, i may get some money now

Caligula · 17/11/2004 16:49

And from an employees pov it was crap - he felt permanently depressed about not being able to do an effective job.

Glad that guy's resigned, but don't expect it will make much difference. Child support just isn't on the political agenda. If women abandoned their kids en masse and decided they were going to spend all their money on themselves and only a tiny amount on their kids it would be, but I don't suppose we'll do that, will we?

Caligula · 17/11/2004 16:49

FF - don't hold your breath!

SuzySox · 17/11/2004 16:50

I wrote to my MP and they have actually managed to start trying to resolve my issues although not sorted yet I do feel like the chap dealing with my case is actually trying now.

My letter was pretty strong though and did forcefully emphasise the fact that I believed they knowingly misled me and at times gave me information knowing it not to be true also that they seem to hide behind red tape and are artists in fobbing people off.

Have little sympathy for anyone involved with the organisation. I'm sure their are some 'good guys' there but tbh I think they are all so abused that frankly they can't be bothered and that's no good to anyone!

All back dated, i know it

SuzySox · 17/11/2004 16:52

FF - If I had my payments backdated even to the day I sent my application I would be at least a few grand richer!!!

I'm planning my holiday now, what you going to do suzy?

dottee · 17/11/2004 16:54

Arrggh! Had dealings with them today and so has my kid's dad. It's a good job we communicate and understand what's happen (it's a cock-up in CSA's administration again!!!) They are being utter plonkers - and try getting them to admit fault!

carla · 17/11/2004 16:56

Radio 5 interviewed someone this morning who said that changes at the top won't necessarily make things any better - let's hope not

I'd only spend it on myself anyway, nights out new dresses, im best not getting any if im honest, he's doing me a favour, he knows me better than i know myself.

SuzySox · 17/11/2004 17:01

FF - Round the world trip (of course!!) I mean hey all my financial worries will be a distant memory by this time next week, right?!

Caligula · 17/11/2004 17:02

They always do though, don't they FF? In twenty years time, I'll turn round and thank him because if he'd given it me, I'd have bought a bottle of champagne a day like Cilla Black, and become an alcoholic. So it's all due to him that didn't happen. Sitting here counting my blessings and thinking how lucky I am.

fairyfly · 17/11/2004 17:08

Your right C, in fact if i recieve a cheque now i'd rip it up, cancel the cruise suzy, thank god we have these people looking out for us

bundle · 17/11/2004 17:09

i believe there are job cuts planned too, so don't hold your breath girls...

SuzySox · 17/11/2004 17:27

Seriously bundle?? I thought they were surely giving everyone bonuses with the amount of money they have of mine and won't release thanking them all for doing such a good job at being shite!

C/FF you gals are definitely right to have this money would merely turn me into a self centred hussy shortly leading to my childs neglect as I induldge in all of lifes luxuries. Not having this money really is a blessing in disguise, truly, no really it is ...honest

"There are plans to cut the agency's staff by 2,600 by April 2006" according to this BBC story

bundle · 17/11/2004 17:34

(in the box saying CSA, key facts on the right, it's shocking isn't it???)

fairyfly · 17/11/2004 17:37

Well it will put a smile on my x's face im sure, i have been waiting months and theres no chance now is there. It will take years.

TurnAgainCat · 18/11/2004 10:27

I hate all this reporting. It will just encourage the minority who are finally paying up to start messing around again. It took 9 months of endless phone calls by me to get any money, 2-3 deduction of earnings orders (which xp twice persuaded them not to enforce) and then another 6 months of xp messing around paying random sums on random days of the month, until I finally got the arrears and regular payments. I will be so POd if they scrap the whole agency now that I will be going round to see the Minister myself. Why aren't any of the women in Parliament doing anything to help us?

SuzySox · 18/11/2004 12:46

Interesting point TAC... although have to remember their are lone father who should also be using the CSA to claim of absent mothers so it's hard to use that arguement.

If they scrap the CSA completely I will be outraged but I heard whats-his-face from the Lib Dems on news last night requesting that CSA should be scraped and ownership transferred to Inland Revenue - I think this could work. Absent parents loses the money straight from their pay packet no fuss (in my simplistic mind) ...discuss...
