Hi all!

Shall we have another go at a group meet up? :)

The weather appears to have improved for now so we could organise another park based outing for those of use with lively dc. :)

Hope to see you soon!

Excellent, motherofvikings, this is getting exciting! Grin

Don't worry, DieDeutsch. We're going to have the next one a month later but on a Wednesday so those who are busy on Monday's can join us. The following one will be on a Monday, then a Wednesday and so on. Have a lovely time away Smile

I'm inside by the window. An old lady has perched herself on the next table and I'm working on my laptop. I have things to colour later. Grin

So when's the next meet up? Smile

SybildeChocolate · 21/06/2013 12:16

still recovering from the last one

Did we say a Wednesday or a Thursday? 4th July? I can't do the 11th.

SpicedGingerTea · 24/06/2013 21:42

Hello,

I'm in Breaston and would love to try and make a meet up one day. I also have a bit of an identity crisis re: Nottingham/Derby! But have chosen the Derby board!!

I'm a single mother to a boy of 11 weeks! I'm a complete baby novice, but have been on MN for a year or two now. I'd love to meet people locally who have children or babies. Or who like cake. That's important too. Smile

I'm really not into the whole Baby Group thing, so am looking at other ways to meet new people while I'm on maternity leave.

SybildeChocolate · 24/06/2013 22:07

Hi Tricky Smile You can choose both boards! I make sure not to clash the meet ups as it would be unfair and I'm the local ed for both and can't split myself in two, although it would be useful

There's a few who come to the meet ups who have tiny babies so you'd be very welcome. We're not your usual baby group Grin The meet up for Derby is in the Quad, the one for Nottingham is in Ikea because we like the meatballs. You can come to either or both. Smile

SpicedGingerTea · 25/06/2013 08:55

Thanks Sybilde, that's great, I didn't realise you were the ed for both groups. I'm feeling immense pressure from my HV to get out and about to local NCT classes or baby and toddler groups, and I don't want to. Hmm

I've been on MN for a few years now and have never managed a local meet up, and my maternity leave seems an ideal opportunity. Smile

SybildeChocolate · 25/06/2013 10:26

I live in between both and travel back and forth so it made sense as I know both cities very well.

You don't have to do or go anywhere you don't want to. I'd be quite annoyed if my HV had done this.

Don't feel under any pressure to join us, we just sit and chat over a coffee so are very laid back. Smile

Hello Miaow. I grew up in Nottingham and still work there, but moved over to Breaston (which isn't that far away) a couple of years ago. I'm off work till October with my delightful 11 week old baby. But am also going through a very tricky (shitty) divorce at the same time too,......... long story that is a bit boring to be honest.

I'm an ardent Forest fan, but actually prefer the Derby side of things at the moment. My parents live near where they are constructing the tram in Nottingham, so travelling about is a nightmare (imo). Plus I like the countryside more in Derbyshire.

I'm attending New Parents classes in Sandiacre soon, but don't fancy doing the general Mother and Baby thing at the moment. But I've been on Mumsnet for years and generally feel I fit in with the people on here (!!). I've been on a few threads where everyone has talked about meeting up but we've never got round to organising it, so I finally twigged may be I should look on the local boards. Smile

The tram will go from where you are, past QMC then into the city centre, past the high school and towards Hucknall. There's details here; www.thetram.net/phase-two/ Smile
