Yay! The thread's come back to life! Grin

Sorry you're still having a rough time sapphire. You seem cheery in spite of it tho, or are you just doolally now? Grin

I loved your bump pic on fb silly, looking forward to more! How are you feeling? When's your due date?

How are things with you medee? Hope E hasn't given you any more scary moments.

We're getting on well, although DD2 has been unusually grumpy today, poor toot. Thank god for slings! She's been strapped to me for most of the day, which is actually quite nice to be honest, cuddles on the go! One of my friends is sling obsessed so I've been tapping into her stash!

FIL has said he's happy to look after DD1 any afternoon apart from a Friday, so we're good for a meet-up soon. Really looking forward to it!

Medee · 07/05/2011 18:53

Which sling do you use? I've just got a Kari-Me (a wrap type sling) and it has been really good, though we haven't quite got to grips with it entirely.

Sapphire1 · 07/05/2011 19:04

I'm doolally and just used to it now LNT! Grin

Poor DD2, glad the sling helps though. LO HATES her baba sling, £30 down the drain lol! Anyone want to name a date?

littlenuttree · 07/05/2011 20:08

I've got a Girasol, which is a woven wrap but it's quite thick so is boiling in this heat! I've borrowed a Calin Bleu wrap, which is a lot thinner so isn't as supportive, and a Hoppediz wrap which is kind of in between. I only know a couple of carries but use the 'Front Wrap Cross Carry' the most. You Tube is for demos. I haven't tried any others, with her having the splint on I'm not really sure which others I could use. I've also got a ring sling and a couple of buckle carriers! It gets addictive! I find the wrap the best tho.

I know the doolally feeling well, wish I could say it gets better!

Is Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon this week too soon for a meet-up? Grin

Sillyness · 07/05/2011 21:09

At the moment I'm free on Tues, however there is the smallest chance I'll be going to London on Tues, but most prob will be here! Grin

thanks for liking my pic on fb, i plan to do it again at 30 weeks!

OP posts:
littlenuttree · 07/05/2011 21:43

Aww, that'll be lovely! I love bumps! I did a pic evey week with DD1, but only a few with DD2. I wanted to get professional ones done, but wasn't sure where I'd put them. Not sure what guests would have made of it!

Medee · 07/05/2011 22:44

I can't do next week as my mum is visiting.

Sapphire1 · 08/05/2011 21:35

I can do Tues or Wed. We have weaning class Tues morning, but it will be finished by 12. Tis exciting, will prob start to wean the child in the hope it might help with fussing etc. She is 5 months now and doc has given the go-ahead (we were going to wait til 6 months as per recommendations). Karen won't be able to come next week either cos she's on honeymoon!!! Grin Congrats new Mrs! Also belated congrats to Jollysergeantjackrum whose DS is gorgeous (forgot to say earlier)...

littlenuttree · 08/05/2011 23:03

Tues pm is good for me, does mid-afternoon suit?

Can't believe H is 5mths old! Scary! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that weaning sorts her out! Grin I found the Annabel Karmel baby and toddler meal planner book really good when I was weaning DD1. Would definitely recommend it.

I forgot to say congrats to Jolly too! My brain is definitely on maternity leave, it's a nightmare trying to remember anything just now.

Sillyness · 09/05/2011 10:23

Congrats Jolly!

So...are we meeting tomorrow then? I'm off all day so just tell me where and when!

littlenuttree · 09/05/2011 17:57

I can meet you silly, will only have DD2 with me so can meet anywhere really, would be around 2.30pm if that's okay? I'll text sapphire to see if she can manage.

Karen4007 · 10/05/2011 17:52

Hope u guys had a good meet up. I went to see DH in the hospital (great honeymoon) but DD was a royal pain in the bum and I had to leave early!

I have 'unweaned' DD/ the HV told me she was ready and when it came to it, she was not interested at all, so am gonna leave it til 6 months now too... not long to go til that now. She seems to be looking at us if we eat with our hands, so I think she may go straight on to finger foods. I made a load of Ananbel Karmel stuff and she would not have any of it Grrrr.

Hope DD is ok Sapphire. Maybe she is so used to being sore when eating etc. that she is suffering from flashbacks, or just scared to eat. DH has gone down to 10 stone as he has been too sore to eat... and there's me trying desperately to shed some lbs!

Anyway, hopefully will make it to B and B this week but will depend on what the hosp says. Visiting is 2-4, so if he is still in will prob have to skip it.

Anyway, wedding was good, shame about our honeymoon, still will have to have it later on...Just like wills and Kate lol x

Sillyness · 10/05/2011 19:20

Nice to hear from you Karen. Pass our regards to your new DH!!!!! How exciting! Can't wait to hear about the wedding!

The meet up was lovely...thanks to Sapphire and LNT for meeting.

Hi everyone i'll need to try and see you guys at some point too! It's been ages. Sammy is well and truly a cruising baby now he is pulling himself up at everything. I can't pick up his mess as fast as he can wreck things now.

Karen4007 · 10/05/2011 20:58

Ha ha Ineed... I am dreading that stage... I can't even cope with my own mess. Even after our shortened honeymoon I can not cope with all the washing...let alone the unpacking etc...

Glad the meeting went well.

Dh still in hosp, can not find what is wrong with him, so waiting for MRI scan now, fingers crossed... Honeymoons suck when your new DH is in hospital, but at least DD is keeping me busy!

She has learnt to caterpillar round the room on her back...so nothing is safe now....that is in reach anyway, but I left a floor quilt on the table and there was a toy thing hanging off it and dangling down, so she got that off the table and with it my hair brush and sun glasses which both got a munch... I was only gone about 4 mins to hang up the washing!

Hope to see some of you soon x

Medee · 13/05/2011 11:49

Hello all, waved my mum off yesterday - was very handy having her around! She's back in 3 weeks.

Hope all is OK with your DH. Sorry I missed an opportunity to meet LNT's DD2.

Medee · 19/05/2011 21:10

Hi all, Sapphire and I compared diaries and came up with Monday 6 June as a possible meet date. How does that sound to everyone?

Medee · 06/06/2011 09:24

Bumping this for Katie.

Look forward to seeing you all this afternoon.

Sillyness · 06/06/2011 15:45

How was the meet up folks? x

Medee · 13/06/2011 13:23

afternoon all! E and I went along to a different baby and toddler group this morning, also at Queens Cross Church, in the main hall. A bit more toddler than baby, but a friendly bunch of mums, and a lovely sing-song at the end. We'll be back. It's 9.30-11.30 and £1.50.
