If you had the choice between them, which one would you move to and why? (or why not?)

ok for us its Australia... spent a while in canada as a child and found the winters too limiting for stuff that we could keep warm doing... being outside people!
reasons for a move to Australia for us were in order of importance....
1/ we have paid 250,000 gbp for a 5 bedroom house on 5 acres... 10mins to white beaches and under an hour to brisbane CBD.... we couldnt have done anything similar in the Uk without being in the outer reaches of scotland and then Dh wouldnt havea job or live at home!
2/ the kids enjoy horses, swimming, surfing/ body boarding.
3/ extra curricular activites here are cheap. DD does trampoline training 2x a week, swimming once a week and Auskick when its on without a re mortgage.. next month she doing a learn to sail course for $15 a lesson.Ds does kindy gym and swims. pricate schools are cheap and excellent.
4/ I work 10 mins down the road and earn more than i would (ICU nurse) in the Uk... so i do less hours.
5/ i generally like aussies... i have found them warm and welcoming!
6/ lovely warm... although right now its flipping freezing on a night... winters!

ok cons...

Yes for about 10 weeks of the year here in Qld it gets humid and hot! oh and wet! but .. we have been here 3 years no air con and we wont get any... we have cold drinks.. drive air con cars.. have air con at work.. school... kindy etc.. we have a small pool in the back garden which is bliss on a hot day! we just get on with it! i guess we just say well in the uk it would be lovely fro just one day like this! now we can plan outings and parties weeks in advance without thinking oh.. it may be to cold.. wet.. etc.. we get a good two weeks notice on rain fall!...

Mozzies yes we live with a dam and mozzies.. funnily enough we buy rid spray some on and get on with it! Uv... yes we use sunblock and wear hats! I remeber dd not being allowed out to play in kindy in the uk beacue the weather wasnt good enough so i dont see the difference there .. most kindys keep kids in between 10 and 2 when uv is highest in the worst part of summer. DD's kindy send them out in togas and have a big water play area with spouts and stuff so the kids have a great time!

well thats our reasons...The hardest part with Aus is getting in!!! funnily enough because it is a great place to live they can be very fussy!
