Hi,
We would like to move France, DH got in position that we can live anywhere in EU, so decided France will be the most suitable choice.
DH thinks Bordeux area, where he is got friend. I dont speak French, but Dh got basic. We got dd 2.8y and ds 4m.
Have looked old threads, will go France and look for property. We think renting for the first a few months is good idea.
Hope to hear from other mnetters, got loads to ask.
Happy new year,

had the Luna version 1 and it was downright unsafe the seat was to shallow for the free movement harness which is why they bought out the bumper bar, not sure what the newest one (version 3) is like but it is probably better.

I liked the streety best, felt more solid but not heavy.

annoyingly you can only get it with the car seat included in the uk.

Thanks Diva! Haven't been online as just after I had posted that last message my mother in law sadly died, it was sudden and we have just spent a week back in Ireland so we are all a little unsettled again, such is life! The girls are back in school again and I am a glad to report that they seem to be settling back into things thanfully! Its a bit of a sad start to our new life but life can be like that sometimes. Goodluck with your search and keep me updated on how its going. Best Wishes.

Hi

I live in the Limousin region of France (central) and am about 30 mins SE of Limoges city and 45mins from Limoges airport. I'm here with my husband and 3 kids (9, 5 & 3 years), all of whom are at the local school (kids not husband!)

We're in a fairly rural part of the region but actually live in a small village so we're not isolated. Before we came out we thought we'd want to live somewhere off the beaten track but once we viewed a few places we realised that with 3 children we didn't want to be in the middle of nowhere. You never know when you might need help. Also, if you're over a certain distance from school (can't remember what it is) they will need to take the school bus. This sounds great but can be very alienating as you never get to speak to or see other parents and all your day to day communication with the school is through the "Cahier de Liaison" a book in which messages and information are noted. We've experienced both systems and can definitely say we prefer being able to walk our kids to school.

If you're interested in properties around these parts this lot sorted us out and were friendly and helpful.

If you need any more info about the region I'd be happy to answer any questions.
