hand holding needed - I might have lymphoma

I posted a while back cos I had a mmc at 12 weeks, after that I was anemic and have not felt well since around Aug at first I thought it was due to my body getting back to normal then I was convinced it was anxiety but after having palpitations, swollen glands, tingling and pins and needles in left arm and leg, ear ache and sore throat since September and a odd feeling something just isn't right. I went to the Dr's expecting them to say it was a virus but she signed me off work for two weeks cos I am exhausted took loads of bloods and said if they come back clear then they may need to do further investigations and the two weeks off will allow me to have further tests.

I have a ds who is a young 5 and am now terrified that I am ill and he won't have a mummy I know I am getting ahead of myself but I just have a feeling it is going to be bad news and advice how to handle the wait ?????

Sorry I have no advice on how to get through the wait, but I will say that I think you are jumping the gun a bit. No-,one has mentioned lymphoma, have they? Your symptoms may be due to many, treatable conditions.

Easier said than done, I know, but try not to let the worry take over until you have a concrete diagnosis.

Everyone will say try not to worry but of course you will, it is in our nature to worry and think the worst thing. Did the doctor mention lymphoma or is it that just one of many things they are looking at ruling out?
Hope you can have a nice relaxed day with DS, maybe some chocolate and a good film?

wooaah there! has lymphoma even been mentioned yet? what you are describing sounds alot like glandular fever to me. And the pins and needles are a common symptom of anxiety. as are the palpitations.

dr wouldn't be doing her job if she sent you away after reporting you have been unwell since august.

Thing is - it could be 100s of things. Now you are on the way to finding out you can get it sorted. You may well "just" be anemic.

Ones of the first things they will be looking to rule out with the bloodwork is glandular fever. Much, much more common than any of the lymphomas. My friend who had Hodgkins Lymphoma, her glands were swollen to the size of a tennis ball but looked and felt otherwise well (but obviously everyone is different).

Try not to get too ahead of yourself. There is a GINORMOUS leap between your symptoms and terminal cancer. Holding your hand x

Pins and needles and palpitations are also symptoms of anaemia

Thanks for your replies the Dr has mentioned it, I had bloods done last month and no anemia or anything else showed up which is why she is worried I think, 2015 was the most rubbish year ever I should have been 8 month pregnant not dealing with this would prefer to be at work but she said no chance anyway off to help ds learn to ride his bike what else would u do when u r stressed and it is p**sing it down lol x will keep u updated x

I think but I'm no expert that if you had lymphoma you'd have very swollen lymph nodes in your neck.

My ds had suspected lymphoma and GP referred him to the hospital straight away under the two week rule. He had a massive swollen gland in his neck and the GP mentioned lymphoma and seemed very concerned.

I second what other posters have said in that it could be many many other things causing your symptoms.

Oh and my ds was fine.

Really good to hear your ds is fine , I have swollen gland in my neck and one in my groin bur I have had various illnesses since September thanksnto ds going back ro school that might be causing that, I am trying to be rational but it's hard when I feel so rubbish. I think my Gp missed something with a patient once and really over tests for stuff (which is good in a way) we thought ds has an infection as he was going to the loo al the time his test was clear but we had to take a sample every month for 6 months. It's hard not to panic when u have a GP that l does x x x

I have felt ok all weekend but now ds is going back to school and dh is at work I feel really upset that I am not at work, my back and muscles hurt and I am soooooo tired can't wait to find out what's wrong just so I can do something about it

Thank you Wednesday is hen I'm due to speak with Dr so fingers crossed think I am going to make most of the house being empty and get the tv remote for once ☺. I just want to know cos we want to ttc again as baby would have been due in Feb I just don't want to start till I am 100%

Aaarrrhhhh I have had a sore shoulder for weeks have managed to convince myself it is something nasty seriously fed up with stressing about stuff that I would normally ignore the GP is going to think I am mad x

Shit all bloods normal apart from inflammation markers so need to have more bloods done as there is something wrong somewhere at least I know I am not going mad that there is something wrong but no further forward in knowing what but it could be bad OMG panicking imagining worse case scenarios and ds without a mim

Aww lozzy poor you. When are your next bloods, or have you already had them?

Did they check your B12 levels? If you were anaemic and had iron, your b12 might still be low.

I will get the test results of my second lot of bloods on Tuesday. Tbh I have no idea what she is testing for but I feel awful this morning. I am hoping something does show up on them so at least I can find out what's wrong if the come back normal I have no idea where to go from there cos I am in pain everyday so where or another and it getting to the point where ds is starting to pick up on it which I have tried my hardest to avoid and on a selfish note I really want to ttc ASAP as I don't want a huge age gap and should have been due to give birth in Feb.

Ds had a 6th birthday party to go to on Sat so that was 2hrs of fun, then on Sunday ds and dh decided they were going to bicker all day (they are basically the same person so they clash) so I am glad to have the house to myself when ds has been dropped at school. Feel pretty rubbish tho tbh but just have to carry on as normal when ds is here and then collapse on the sofa once he is at school. I know I won't get any proper answers tomorrow probably more tests but I cannot get better till we know what's up so will hopefully be a step in the right direction. Hope u have a happy Monday x x

It's back to work for me but it's both mine and my daughters birthday so a busy expensive week!

Gp is calling me tomorrow morning it's too much to ask to see her face to face she said should be 9 but said she never runs on time so could be any time after then at least I will have chance to drop ds at school before
