Family Court and vaccinations

Hi, all.

Has anyone been to family court over a disagreement over whether or not to vaccinate a child with no health issues?

Please would you tell me if the judge ruled in favour of or against vaccination?

Please don't be an anti vaxxer. The health of your child is at stake here. Projecting your warped opinions on a child not able to make their own decisions is wrong.

Regards. x

I imagine if one parent wants vaccinations then the judge is likely to rule in favour of vaccinating.

ApolloandDaphne · 03/02/2021 12:03

I feel sure that the ruling would be in favour of vaccinations.

MegaPeg · 03/02/2021 12:04

I imagine if the judge was at least partly educated, (likely) he would rule in favour of vaccinating.

@SaddamHussain

Someone is asking a serious question which impacts on their family. It is not a laughing matter and your ridiculous posts are offensive. So I have reported you.

unmarkedbythat · 03/02/2021 12:06

It's sad that people are still peddling the dangerous lie that vaccine cause autism. I have given up showing them the proof they demand- they are never going to be swayed by it, they haven't based their belief on high standard, peer reviewed evidence and they won't be persuaded by evidence. You need to give them something that grabs them by the feelings the way the mad conspiracy theories do, something that plays into their sense of superiority and non sheepage, and I don't have the patience any more to pretend I don't find them utterly stupid and interactions with them to be a total waste of time.

Anyway, OP, some resources relevant to your question:

I don't know "which side" of this you might be on, but speaking personally I would say that vaccinations are a good thing. Things that are these days considered mild and routine childhood illnesses are largely so because of vaccination programmes over decades. But there can still be very serious and lifelong adverse impacts from these diseases, and the seriousness of, for example, measles, should not be understated. Yes, it's rare, especially in 2021 - but it is avoidable.

Theunamedcat · 03/02/2021 12:22

Usually its decided on medical grounds not personal so if a child has reactions to vaccines its unlikely to be ordered to vaccinate but if one parent is an antivaxxer with no medical reasons they are out of luck

MegaPeg · 03/02/2021 12:23

VettiyaIruken · 03/02/2021 12:24

No idea. But I hope the court would rule in the child's best interests.
Which is to be fully vaccinated.

mootymoo · 03/02/2021 12:40

The case law suggests judges rule in favour of vaccination, as they should.
