I have had a court order agreed today for visitation for my ex to see our son. It’s an interim arrangement until the next hearing.

I was unrepresented and my ex’s solicitor was instructed to type up the agreement.

The first visitation is supposed to be tomorrow (Saturday) and I haven’t had anything from her solicitor and it’s now after 18:00 and her solicitors have all gone home. I’m frightened that if I hand my son over without any proof of a court order then if she doesn’t return him, I will have absolutely nothing to show the police if she breaks the agreement.

Where do I stand on this? If I haven’t received a copy of the agreement, does it still stand? How can I prove it if she doesn’t bring the baby back at the agreed time?

This is a very quiet section. I suggest you repost in legal or chat where there is more traffic.

Thank you. I’ve just signed up to ask this. I don’t know my way around yet

You can report and ask Mumsnet to move to legal section so you can get help from those with more knowledge

It still stands. The judge will have made a note of the order, and there will be a recording made of what was said.
The police wouldn’t intervene if she doesn’t return them, court order or not. If anyone breaches the order within a day of it being made they are a fool, and causing great harm to their case.
