Im in need of some help. I stupidly shoplifted form asda, goods where over £100 and the police where called. And in the process they found out i had drove there without a license. I have never shoplifted before and the driving was a one off as im due to sit my test in couple of weeks.
I got took to the police station and was held in a cell for a couple of hours then got fingerprints took etc, they never questioned me though. They then told me my details would be sent to the procurator fiscal and that was it?
Now i have no idea what will happen next, what punishment ill get and im terrified.
I have never been in trouble before. Can anyone shed any light on what i should expect, will i need to go to court, what will happen etc.
Im a mother of 2 small kids and can not bare to think ill go to prison for me being completely stupid this one time.
many thanks

Most likely outcome is a fine and penalty points (could be quite a few as not in accordance with licence and uninsured) for the driving offences, and if the PF decides to proceed then a trip to the sheriff's court and a fine.

OP try and get yourself some free legal advice if you can.

CheekyMaleekey · 31/08/2015 17:50

Your children will be mightily embarrassed when their friends are talking about their mum after it's been in the papers.

No they won't cheeky, children from the same circles as OP will see it as a badge of honour.

ExConstance · 31/08/2015 17:54

Surely the shoplifting would be dealt with by way of caution for a first offence? I was a criminal defence solicitor for many years, though in England, Offences of this kind where there is no background almost always dealt with by way of caution. As for the traffic matters they will be going forward for summons, no insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with licence and anything relating to the car they have found. You can expect some points, probably a ban, and a hefty fine.

Playnicelyforfiveminutes · 31/08/2015 17:55

Whether her name gets in the paper or not, you want to ask yourself why the prospect of her children being embarrassed so obviously fills you with glee.. internet weirdo..

Gingermakesmesick · 31/08/2015 17:56

You sound just delighted at the thought of upset embarrassed children cheeky.

Aren't you a good person? Much nicer than the OP and her type. Carry on with your spiteful little gleeful posts. You are SO the bigger person.

Gingermakesmesick · 31/08/2015 17:56

A total Skank? CheekyMaleekey.... really. Thats a lovely way to talk. I may have done this wrong thing but that is a awful way to talk! I mean you dont even know me, so to call me personal and insulting names is just pathetic!!

OP posts:
CheekyMaleekey · 31/08/2015 17:58

I feel sorry for the poor children. Anybody would.

It wouldn't be difficult to be "much nicer" than the OP. I don't drive before I've passed my driving test. I don't put my family through shame.

SquirrelledAway · 31/08/2015 17:58

It may also be several months before you hear from the PF ... if at all.

Playnicelyforfiveminutes · 31/08/2015 17:59

Good joint description ginger !

I would have thought that it would be a caution as it's a first offence.
Perhaps you need to address why you did these things and go from there.
Good luck

Bogeyface · 31/08/2015 18:00

Whats your specialist subject? The fucking obvious?!

How is that in any way helpful or useful? It isnt, so fuck off.

Wankarella · 31/08/2015 18:00

Get some legal advice OP, Good luck

Playnicelyforfiveminutes · 31/08/2015 18:01

If you have a mouth like this in real life cheeky then I can assure you, your family are ashamed.

Badders123 · 31/08/2015 18:02

"Shame"?
It's the 21st century you know, not Victorian times!
I'm sure the op is ashamed...what would you do? Being back branding!? [Shock]
you aren't Katie Hopkins are you?

Gingermakesmesick · 31/08/2015 18:02

'Put my family through shame.'

I will tell you what is shameful cheeky, is the utter malicious glee dripping off your posts at the OPs family being upset, ashamed, embarrassed, distressed.

You have repeatedly brought this up. You clearly want to make the OP feel as bad as it's possible for an individual to feel. Not enough to let the law of the land deal with it - as much humiliation and shame as possible, huh? That's not enough - you rub all the salt you've got into that wound - your children will be embarrassed.

You hold your head up OP, and tell those lovely children you made a mistake but that one mistake doesn't make someone a bad person. You tell your gorgeous kids that it's wrong to steal, and you hope they learn from your mistake. You hug them tight and tell them they are wonderful and if anyone does notice at school which I doubt for them to come to you. Because I have one school age child and since he is a nice person, he doesn't tend to taunt his school friends over their parents' behaviour, but not everyone brings their children up like this do they, cheeky?

Never be ashamed of being your children's mum.

selboy01 · 31/08/2015 18:03

thank you for the positive help on this horrible subject. People who feel the need to try and shame me (like i dont feel it already) are just plain low. There is no need to name call, belittle and bring my loved and happy children into this. i may be in the wrong for what i have done but some of these people and their opinions are bad to society also!!

OP posts:
Badders123 · 31/08/2015 18:04

I can almost hear you cheeky....your vacuous voice bleating
"I'm just telling it how it is"
I know people like you...they are all, without exception, friendless and bitter.
If making the op feel even worse than she already does gets you off then I pity you.

Footle · 31/08/2015 18:05

OP, you may have missed a post back there from trufflehunter, something like that ? She said she "is police", and it sounded as if she might have some useful info, hopefully nonjudgemental. Might be worth checking back for it ?

mathanxiety · 31/08/2015 18:05

OP how many individual cartridges were there?

Two?
Twelve?

Not packages, but individual cartridges.

hattyhatter · 31/08/2015 18:06

what would you do? Being back branding!?

Don't ask the crowd that badders. It'll just give people ideas Wink
