Wonderful news. 🫶

Brilliant news about the four hostages! Puts paid to the idea Israel doesn't care about them.

A lot of people don't understand how peace processes work, what goes into military operations of this nature or maybe they don't want to understand due to antisemitism.

CloudyAgain · 08/06/2024 13:57

Dear Lord I need to hide the entire CITME board. Can't even have a thread about the joy at this news without the antisemites weighing in.

I can imagine that this took weeks of ingenious planning and care.

Thank you for sharing this, I wish it was more widely known.

EllaDisenchanted · 08/06/2024 18:48

I don’t know the mood in Israel but in this house it was tears of joy and relief. I’m still waiting for DH to come home from shul! I’ve been lighting an extra candle for Shabbat for Noa for months

There is a Bracha we say for good news, the 5th one in this list, hatov vehameitiv. Beyond anything to say this instead of Baruch Dayan haemes ❤️https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3738564/jewish/12-Blessings-You-May-Not-Know-Exist.htm#5

Thank you for sharing those. Anglicans are taught about the promise in the rainbow too, after my mum died there were rainbows every day for a week, it gave me a lot of comfort.

SpuytenDuyvil · 08/06/2024 19:32

I just ducked out of services--it's still Shabbos here in CA. I wanted to come and say hi to you all. I feel happy and sick at the same time, which seems to be the most Jewish thing ever, yeah?

DownNative · 08/06/2024 19:43

The fact certain posters have ignored the warning from Mumsnet not to derail the thread about hostages started by keenforhelp which has now resulted in the thread being hidden for now.

Ridiculous.

And are then celebrating that it's been hidden as some kind of great success on their part 🙃 well done guys, you managed to silence people who are glad four hostages were released.

quantumbutterfly · 08/06/2024 19:56

I saw clips of the celebrations in Israel and Noa reunited with her father. That's what I'm celebrating.

stomachamelon · 08/06/2024 19:57

I am disgusted that certain posters made it their raison d'être to get that thread removed. There are a couple I am really shocked at. The rest not so much.

It is also obvious that we are being spied on here. I have seen some concerning things today I have forwarded.

Yup to all of that.

quantumbutterfly · 08/06/2024 20:08

Well yes, because they'd be silly not to since they're part of a propagandafest.
I have my doubts that a couple of people are who they say they are and that's disappointing if unsurprising.
I think they may actually be hairy handed truckers.
On the plus side they've got some good recipes out of it.😁

Humdingerydoo · 08/06/2024 20:12

The thread is back 😅

quantumbutterfly · 08/06/2024 20:14

🙂marvellous. Let's be careful out there.😶

Humdingerydoo · 08/06/2024 20:34

I think they've all abandoned ship for the other thread now, so it'll hopefully be less antagonistic going forward.

Ah well, it was nice while it lasted :)

stomachamelon · 08/06/2024 21:43

The hypocrisy on the alternate is astounding.

Not particularly surprising though, is it.

stomachamelon · 08/06/2024 22:05

Don't derail it though ;)

With a massive side helping of manipulation.
