EMBRYO TRANSFER NEXT WEEK

I'm having an embryo transfer next week ans was wondering if anyone else is also transferring next week and would like to join the thread ? :)

Also any embryo transfer tips pre and post would be appreciated! 🥰

I feel fine, no side effects although I've never had any previously. They are so lovely where I go, it all seemed fine and the embryo survived the thaw which was the first hurdle as it was fully hatched. Keeping everything crossed now 🤞🏾

When is everyone testing? I'm 4dp5dt and have tested my trigger out. Had a vvvvvfl this morning but think it could still be my trigger so not getting excited just yet!

Is anyone planning on not testing and just waiting on blood test ? I’m so used to seeing negatives on the urine tests :(

@teampacey hard not to get a little bit excited though! 😊

@Missmarymack2 my place doesn't do blood tests for pregnancy...I just have to test on my OTD then if positive wait until a few weeks when they do a viability scan! Not sure why they don't do them though

@MammaKG I’ve been told I can do a urine test if I want but it’s optional. Either way I have to get the blood test as per the clinic policy

Not sure what to think...had embryo transfer yesterday morning but was vomitting through the night..

How are you feeling now? Has the sickness continued?

We are 4dp5dt and negative at the moment. I can't wait right until OTD, I need some warning either way to get my head round things!

anyone else having no symptoms whatsoever? I feel the same apart from the pain on my injections sites

Thanks guys! I'm 7dp5dt today but I did these yesterday at 6dp. I had an incredibly faint line on Friday and it remained quite ambiguous over the weekend. Someone told me the one steps aren't great and can give false positives so I broke out the more expensive ones. The clear blue showed up immediately so I thought I'd give the digital a whirl fully expecting it to be not pregnant.

I haven't really had any symptoms- sore boobs which ive had since I started the progesterone pessaries after EC and felt tired too. Odd taste in my mouth but again had that since EC. Yesterday and today I've felt a little nauseous and had some heart burn but I get acid reflux anyway so nothing that is specifically pregnancy related.

I know how you feel @MammaKG my clinic wanted me to wait until 14dp5dt for OTD- I mean who can do that?! Got everything crossed for you 🤞

@teampacey amazing how quick you got a positive that’s brilliant you must be delighted. Is this your first transfer ?

Thanks @Missmarymack2 yes first go at IVF. We both have 2 children from our previous marriages. I know I probably sound very selfish when others have no children. I wish everyone could just get positives

Thank you! I knew at 4dp it was highly unlikely to be positive but I couldn't resist at the start of the week! I think the telling time will be the next 2-3 days for me 😬 at least it's only a week now for me until OTD!

@Missmarymack2 I'll be testing everyday 🤦🏾‍♀️ I can't help it now! 2 years ago we got our first ever positive from our 4th transfer on 5dp5dt...albeit very faint! We didn't get excited until we checked the next day and could see a definite progression...then daily until it was a strong line on our OTD which was 11dp5dt. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for the same as it's our last embryo and I may be too old for good quality if we had to try again 🤞🏾

I'm playing the waiting game too, well my wife is (same sex couple) FET 3rd October so 5dp5det today, eeekk!!

We tested last night but negative, I know it was too early!

We have a 3 year old from our one and only precious transfer (fresh) this embryo is from the same batch so fingers crossed.

We have one embryo left after this. My wife seems to feel very different this time around so convinced it's negative.

@Missmarymack2 it's horrible...we had it from 2019 to 2022 and then our underdog embryo gave us our first ever BFP.

So, we are still negative today, 5dp5dt. This is the day we had the faintest of faintest lines last time so it's hit hard a little bit this morning. But I am just keeping in mind that the embryos were different and it's not going to follow the same pattern. So keeping everything crossed. I have been having some mild cramping feelings this morning on my right hand side.

@tumblebumbleweed congrats on being PUPO and also on your first baby. So, I half wondered whether your partner feels more stressed with also having your 3 year old to look after whilst going through all this? I have been lifting our 18 month old, had him climbing on me and quite likely internally stressed with his new trick of throwing tantrums, half wondering whether this is all affecting things.

@teampacey have you tested again or are you holding out now?

@MammaKG yes it's def tougher having him to look after too, I thought it would help be a good distraction but I think because you are in a constant overtired cycle having a young child you're thoughts tend to wander more

Fingers crossed you get the positive soon: we had one at day 6 last time so I can imagine we will feel the same as you do today if theres no line tomorrow.

I have the frer tests and some cheap one step early testing ones which are actually decent.
And then I have some clear blue ones! Cost me a bloody fortune in tests 😂 on top of the rest!

Yeah we have the clear blue early ones but I keep reading bad things about them, and some of the strip ones from boots. I haven't been organised enough to order any of the FRER Ones , I'm tempted to drag my son to boots to get some of boots own brand early detection ones later, no idea why!

@MammaKG fingers crossed. The cramping sounds promising anyway. I’ve no symptoms no cramping at all. Wish ivf didn’t involve so much waiting. The waiting is the worst
