@Gardenlady543 no real other options as don't want to go back to kids ward...more covid! I'll try the other probiotics you suggested, not to worry I have brain farts all the time with the ME and dyslexic brain, sometimes can be quite amusing! Why is t they suggest LIT normally as I don't think u had LAD tested? He was saying our karyotypes are not very compatible

kerrym87 · 11/09/2023 20:31

@Gardenlady543 actually I did have LAD tested but he didn't explain what it meant, no percentages are over 27%

Gardenlady543 · 12/09/2023 06:07

@kerrym87 so lad you want both the IgG to be above 50%, ideally above 80% but the higher the better, so high 90's is best. They will only be high if you have had a full term pregnancy, so it's normal to be low, but it's felt the anti parental antibodies are protective for a pregnancy. In USA they can't have LIT so they do IvIg instead. The lack of compatibility will probably be HLA DQA1 did you and your partner have that tested? If you are a match he recommends donor pooled LIT rather than partner LIT.

kerrym87 · 12/09/2023 08:54

He's recommended my hubby's, only elevates thong I have is CD3 which is 86.6% but rest is OK. My DQ alpha 02:01, 03:03, hubby's is 01:02, 05:01

Gardenlady543 · 12/09/2023 09:59

@kerrym87 yeah you're not a HLA dqa1 match at all. Did you have KIR tested?

Ugh I started a harmless thread yesterday for work shoe suggestions to go with some trousers and it appeared in the bloody trending section and I have some regrets. Lesson learned not to venture from this thread ever 🙃. MN won’t delete it, I don’t want to see any more rude comments which is not what I posted for.

thislittlebird · 12/09/2023 13:08

In other news, I feel sick and hungry at the moment but it's probably tww stress, I’m 4pt today. I hate it, I’ve done this so much now that I expect to start bleeding by Saturday.

Gardenlady543 · 12/09/2023 13:20

@thislittlebird a lot of other topic areas, people just want to anonymously come and be rude and argumentative. I feel the infertility boards are definitely safe and a lot of people stay around for a long time rather than constant name changing anonymous behavior. Sorry to hear about the symptoms, it's a very stressful time. Is there anything you can do to take tour mind off things?

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 12/09/2023 13:27

@Gardenlady543 honestly it's such a strange site outside of here sometimes. I simply posted for ideas and it started fine, then people rock up just to be rude once it hit the active box at the side. Strange MN doesn't let you delete, but lesson learned! All the name changing definitely encourages such behaviour imo.

Not really much to do, just feel kinda sick and it's hard to know if it's anxiety or meds etc. At least I feel like I'm doing something by getting a blood test tomorrow.

Gardenlady543 · 12/09/2023 13:38

@thislittlebird I hope the time passes quickly, on another note I can see edited under a post on here you made, how do you edit. Is this something that can be done on the website and not the app. Until then I figure this out you guys will have to put up with my constant typos!

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 12/09/2023 13:47

@Gardenlady543 it seems to be a new feature that's popped up recently, I think it must be available shortly after the post on web, because I don't use the app but I can't see the option on my message above this, for example. I'll see if it pops up once I press send.

thislittlebird · 12/09/2023 13:48

@Gardenlady543 yeah it must be for a limited time only, after the post, it's in the screenshot.

I have cyclogest left. One day my house did reach 26 degrees. I thought I’d moved all of it but it looks like I left a pack in another coolbox without ice pack that day😢. However, it says on package for cyclogest store below 30 degrees. It’s not melted and definitely not 30 degrees but was 25-26 inside. I feel so fed up lately with amount of money wasted and spent on medication.

I think I ovulated as three days ago I had 3 days of cervical mucus which is a lot for someone my age with high fsh. I also had pain in ovary. My consultant thought I’d get period soon after ovulating and miscarriage. I actually felt I ovulated 2.5 weeks after miscarriage. I have not had a natural period for a while now as I have been back to back on norethisterone and zumenon but have not taken these now since month before my transfer.

I can’t shake this useless feeling. I also worry about my blastocyst grades remaining. I have left: 6B+B-, 6B-B-, 6B-B-, 6B-B- and 6B-C. Does anyone know of others who have had success with these grades at 40? I was 40 when I did the egg retrieval.

Gardenlady543 · 12/09/2023 18:12

@2021ivfagain if it's good enough to freeze it's good enough to transfer, lots of people have had success with those grades. I am sure the cyclogest will be fine, for one thing it goes in the body which is much hotter than your house got!!

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 12/09/2023 20:22

@2021ivfagain i think my DS was 6b-b-. I know he was also tested but that was the grade.

kerrym87 · 12/09/2023 20:52

@Gardenlady543 yes, PAI-1 4G/5G polymorphism heterozygous mutated. I thought that indicated I needed blood thinners, which he suggested, not LIT which is 950 per dose so 1800 in total. I'm not sure if its actually needed but if it is we need to do it ASAP before we embark on any ivf

CailinInUK · 12/09/2023 21:05

@2021ivfagain your cyclogest will be fine to use. My DD was a Day 5 5BB (tested), age 39.5 eggs. I recall you saying that all yours were Day 5’s. That’s more important than a B- or B+, especially the older you get. My clinic doesn’t even distinguish between - and +. They also said that their BB’s had a higher success rate than A grades! Not sure of that logic! My frozen euploid is a Day 5 5BB too. I’ve never made a higher grade.

@thislittlebird of course I had to go check out your other thread when you mentioned it. Nice trousers!! Hope the TWW is going ok.

@Enfys23 I recall you asking if I was starting stims. I’ll be starting tomorrow if my down reg scan goes ok in the morning. Hope the uterine biopsy goes well. Just had a flashback to my poor fertilisation round last time, hoping it remains a one-off.

@Gardenlady543 I’m going to opt for Emma+Alice in Nov. I’ve done a few Juno swabs, which are more comprehensive than Fertilysis. Got one more swab pack to do, which Juno suggested doing at same time as Emma+Alice.
ive not been very disciplined with taking my probiotics, must try harder.

@kerrym87 i think you asked about ways to save cash, I get my stim m fe from The Fertility Medictation Centre as they’re a few hundred quid cheaper than my clinic despite coming from same distributor (Stork).

Hope everyone is doing ok.

kerrym87 · 12/09/2023 21:39

@Gardenlady543 forgot to say I'm Bx genotype.
@2021ivfagain I know there'd no gurarntees but having any frosties is amazing as every time I had a cycle they said anything to freeze is a bonus. We've never had anything to freeze after 3 cycles so still hope for your little polar embryos yet x

thislittlebird · 12/09/2023 22:10

@CailinInUK I really do like them and they look good on me but apparently they're ugly and hideous. I unfollowed at that stage, a harmless "help me out and recommend some shoes that work" thread turned a bit weird.

TWW is just anxiety-inducing, I hate this half. It'll be 5dp5dt tomorrow and I usually bleed by or before 9dp5dt :/

Good luck with starting stims!

Gardenlady543 · 13/09/2023 06:51

@kerrym87 to be fair everyone is recommended LIT, not sure about the incompatible comment. I also have the PAI-1 mutation, and yeah that one involves taking LWMH. Bx is the good one to have, he also looks for 3 specific receptors: 2DS1, 2DS5 and 3DS1.

@CailinInUK sound alike you've got a plan, you'll need to have about 10 days when you don't take the probiotics before the sample is taken though otherwise it will just pick the stuff you're putting in up.

@thislittlebird have you decided about testing?

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 13/09/2023 07:38

@Gardenlady543 I haven’t even bought tests. I guess I’ll get some soon, but the next couple of days will be key so I’m just waiting to see how they go. If I develop a migraine or start spotting I’ll do one I guess, that’s usually a bad sign.

kerrym87 · 13/09/2023 08:49

@thislittlebird people are weird sometimes and I'm very wary about engaging online with people I don't know as you never know! You lot are great on here though 😊
@Gardenlady543 I have all those receptors. I also emailed admin to ask if the recommendation of clexane, hydroxy, high and double trigger could be emailed so I can touch base with more local clinics and the nurse has come back and said from the consultation notes you never discussed it! He wrote LOADS so I don't know what the heck he's written. Discussing treatments for future IVF as well as results was the whole 30 min appt.....🤯

Dochas12111 · 13/09/2023 09:59

hi all, sorry I haven’t checked in in a while. I can’t remember who was asking about steroids but yes I was put on low dose steroids of 15mg a day. I just checked my calendar and I started them exactly 2 weeks before my transfer and was on them until weaning off at 12 weeks.

still no results from all my tests! It’s been a month now so hopefully soon. I went to the general gp and have been referred for a breast check which is super stressful. I asked to go private to speed things up but no word on an appointment there either. We obviously won’t be able to do a transfer until we get the all clear.

@Gardenlady543 how are you feeling? The latest strain of covid seems bad. It completely knocked my sister for over a week and she never complains!!! I would guess it’s worse for you as baby is sapping energy and reduced immune system. Have you been able to take time off work or WFH?

sorry to everyone getting pregnancy bombshells. I used to read the msg then close my eyes and delete off the scan pic without looking. Luckily most of my friends are done having kids as we were so far behind so we don’t get many announcements these days!

@thislittlebird have you had your progesterone checked during the TWW? My progesterone was incredibly low and only went up to normal levels with progesterone in oil. I also used to bleed early. I got it tested every 3 days during the TWW of the transfer that worked. My progesterone in 1 Prontogest and 2 cyclogest daily was 4 (!!!) on transfer day.

thislittlebird · 13/09/2023 10:55

@kerrym87 honestly, I should have asked you lot for shoes suggestions, my error was opening it up to the professional online mean girls!

@Dochas12111 4, wow! Glad I’m not the only one with shitty progesterone levels. It was 42 on FET day (Friday), and I’ve just had my blood taken again so will get another result later. They said increase meds and don’t test again and I was thinking erm, no, clearly I’ve had issues with this and I will be testing again. I have started bleeding between 6 and 10 days past 5dt every time.

We also don’t get announcements very often because they’re all done with it, for the most part. It’s my nieces having kids now and I’ve given up counting how many they have, I never see any of them.

Hi all,

I’ve followed these threads for some time - trying to absorb all this knowledge and info.
You’re all so resilient it’s inspiring. I’ve been doing ivf for over two years and am really at a low point. It’s so isolating. I’d really appreciate joining.

I’m 39. I have never produced many eggs but manage to produce blastocysts. I had a round in the UK, four blastocysts no luck.
We’re now using a sperm donor - a long story.

And we’ve now gone to Spain. I’ve had two rounds and transferred 4 embryos no luck still. I’ve never had a BFP. I’m
half way through a TWW at the moment! Two blastocysts, one AA and one BB. I am bloated and have lots of cramping. And I feel mental, truly. I haven’t slept in days. Do you have any advice for this?? Can I take something?

In terms of my protocol I had chicago tests done a while back which found I’ve got nk activity of 19, mthfr, helper t activity of 41% and plasminogen activator inhibitor mutation which puts me at a slightly higher risk of forming blood clots. Sounds a lot doesn’t it 🤦🏻‍♀️ My protocol has 10mg predisolone clexane and aspirin for it.

My micro biome wasn’t great either - like 5% first time then 70%. I’ve been on several rounds of antibiotics, and I take two probiotics, canesflor, and anything good for the gut you can imagine haha

Any advice really welcome. Sending you all love xxxx
