@Kamiros I'm so sorry you're going through this uncertainty and worry. Obviously we all hope the pregnancy is fine, but as you say if it is a miscarriage then you want to know. It's really disappointing the the EPU can't see you and that GCRM won't scan you - even if they said there was a charge I thought that as you're in their system they'd be willing to help. Thinking of you xx

Kamiros · 08/08/2023 12:21

@LouScot Thank you. Yes GCRM have said they can't do anything after a positive without me paying the 1k fee which is mental. I don't understand the difference between that and all the other scans and tests I've paid for separately for over a year but never mind. Spain are adamant this could still be fine but my gut says no.

Thanks for all your thoughts ❤️

LouScot · 08/08/2023 12:31

@Kamiros if Spain say it could still be okay then cautious hope is still good. It'll be a long few days for you, I hate to say ignore your gut as I'm a huge gut feeling person, but sometimes your gut can be confused - really hope it's just getting a bit muddled here for you and that you'll get good news on Thursday xx

Ellenn · 08/08/2023 13:44

@Kamiros ahh what a horrible situation, that’s so silly they won’t just do a scan. There are definitely clinics which will do private scans though. I managed to get one in glasgow called first glimpse and they do evening appointments at my last transfer, they will scan from 6 weeks xx

Kamiros · 08/08/2023 13:47

@Ellenn Thanks. I'm not 6 weeks until tomorrow. Spain have advised only to get a scan if I can get bloods done with it in case its not conclusive yet, which I guess makes sense. Just need to hang on a little longer.

Ellenn · 08/08/2023 13:48

@Kamiros if you have stopped bleeding I would take that as a very good sign though 🤞🤞🤞

Kamiros · 08/08/2023 13:50

@Ellenn Thanks, I suppose its possible - everything crossed. ❤️

Scirocco · 09/08/2023 19:36

@Kamiros I'm so sorry you're going through this. If it's any help, I found Window to the Womb in Hamilton really supportive for early scans. Keeping everything crossed for you. ♥️

Kitty12345678 · 09/08/2023 22:15

@Kamiros keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻I’m just praying that the everything is okay for you xxx🤍

Kamiros · 10/08/2023 10:37

Thanks everyone for all your support. Wanted to share the good news that baby is fine and we saw a heartbeat today. Bleeding from a heamatoma they think but its not there anymore so looks to have resolved. Still day at a time but today is good news.

Nosejug · 10/08/2023 10:40

A heartbeat! I'm so so happy to hear. What a week you've had. Of course still a ways to go but wow what happy news. Please enjoy it x

Ellenn · 10/08/2023 10:41

@Kamiros 🥰🥰🥰 amazing news was actually thinking about posting wishing you luck. That’s great and I hope it continues, hwo many weeks are you now? xxxx

im 9dp5dt today and think my period should be due today/tomorrow so feeling quite anxious about seeing blood 🙈 I sent away my medichecks hcg blood this morning in post so will see when I get my result back (unless I bleed before then…)

Kamiros · 10/08/2023 10:43

Thanks! I definitely need to try and relax and enjoy this now if possible. Chances of something going wrong after a heartbeat are low so I'll keep remembering that.

Everything crossed for you that you get your bfp!

Kitty12345678 · 10/08/2023 14:33

@Kamiros Im soo happy for you that you got a heartbeat!!! Hope everything goes well for you xxx

@Ellenn Finger crossed for you that you get a positive x 🤞🏻

I was at the GRI today and had my Prostrap and bloods. Will be starting stims early September. Really hoping for this 3rd round 🤞🏻

itsmschanandlerbong · 10/08/2023 14:40

@Kamiros aaaah congrats!! So glad everything is ok, it is hard not to worry but all of the signs are very positive!

Best of luck @Ellenn

Nosejug · 12/08/2023 16:17

I think there are quite a few people in various stages of treatment so firstly, my very best to y'all!

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this before...

I've just had a colposcopy becuase of cell changes due to high risk hpv. They wanted to biopsy but I've refused this month just in case I could be (I know I won't be) pregnant.
I'm asking:
a) if anyone has had a biopsy from their cervix before and if they were aware of any subsequent affects on fertility
b) if anyone has had the bad cells frozen and this has contributed to difficulty conceiving (I have a friend who was so badly scarred from the process that the nurse examining her a few years later was very angry on her behalf)
and
c) if anyone has been refused ivf because they have any not clear smears/hpv/low grade changes. This is what the nurse told me. I don't think I've had a clear test for three years because of hpv.

Hope that's not a bombardment of questions! Just yet more hurdles and tangles to process, and it's so helpful to be able to discuss here.

LT103 · 12/08/2023 20:50

@Nosejug i can’t comment personally. But a friend of mine has had more than one lletz procedures on cervix and is currently pregnant. The only issue is having extra monitoring of cervix length in case needed a stitch but didn’t affect getting pregnant

Ellenn · 13/08/2023 19:37

Hey everyone, so had a bit of a whirlwind over last few days my beta bloods came back quite low at 55 on 9dp5dt. I did my first proper urine test today with an ok line and 2-3wks on clearblue which I think means my levels will be increasing? I’m now 12dp5dt.

I had thought really needed >100 at 9dp5dt so have been pretty sad over weekend. I’m hoping my clinic will repeat the bloods on Wednesday but it’s so far away still! Just wondering what other clinics recommend for beta levels? I’m trying to remain neutral atm as after last two transfers miscarrying feel like that’s all I have experienced 😢

Kamiros · 13/08/2023 22:26

@Nosejug Sorry, I've no experience of this. Hoping you get some answers and sorry you're going through this.

Kamiros · 13/08/2023 22:28

@Ellenn Oh I'm sorry you're experiencing this worry. My clinic say anything about 6 is positive but they look for 100. That said I think its the doubling time that matters more than the number. I know how hard it is but don't give up hope yet. Hoping for you xx
