No problem @seven201 happy to answer any questions. It was a lot to get my head around at the time but I could understand the benefits of each. We got a good overall result. But now for what might just be the hardest part 💛

VenusStarr · 14/08/2022 10:50

@birdbybird ❤️ I think its the luck of the draw with coordinators. I didn't have one I'm my fresh cycle, but my current one is good, responds to emails straight away and has got me in with my doctor when the central line couldn't. I hope you aren't waiting too long to get the process going for testing hour embryos. Hope your cycle settles soon too.

Good to hear from you @seven201 sorry to hear you're feeling worn down and I hope you have managed to get a break whilst on holiday, despite having to do fertility admin.

Hope the new house is going well @MyEasterEggs

How you feeling today @Janefx40 I forced myself to eat the shredded beetroot and it was actually quite nice. So think that'll be my go to. Got half left for today. Its only £1 normal price and was edible!

Managed an hours walk yesterday in a wooded area near me, so quite shady in the heat. Going to go again today. Changed my patch today, Jeez, no idea what glue they use but glad I did it in the shower! Really hope I'm not disappointed on Tuesday 😑

Have a good day, love to all 💕

@VenusStarr I honestly find removing those patches worse than injections! I once shaved the area to see if that made it better, but it just meant they fell off. I have found they get easier as you essential wax a bit of hair off each time so there's less to pull on the more you do them! I do have to rotate areas though as otherwise my skin gets too sore. Good luck for Tuesday!

seven201 · 14/08/2022 21:24

Anyone who's taken hydroxy had a very upset stomach? I'm on day 4 now and can't be far from a toilet. I'm meant to be going on a boat without a toilet for 2 hrs tomorrow. I think I might be safer not to go Confused. When did your tummy settle?

Janefx40 · 14/08/2022 22:19

@seven201 sorry to hear that. No experience of that I'm afraid but hope things settle and you can enjoy the boat trip? X

birdbybird · 15/08/2022 14:13

Hi @VenusStarr I wonder why they didn’t assign you a patient coordinator in your fresh cycle…
Im relatively new to ivf (only one fresh cycle). I email her on Thursday afternoon and still haven’t heard back)… when you say yours replies straight away… is it within a couple of hours?
I’m thinking to make a complaint about mine. Over a week and still no Consent forms… so more time for us to second guess our decision and in 5 weeks we’ll have the appointment with Dr Shehata and I’m worried he’ll tell us it wasn’t the right thing to PGT-A test.

VenusStarr · 15/08/2022 14:19

Hi @birdbybird yes, usually she'll reply the same day. I'm sorry you're still waiting. That's not good.
All I would say regarding testing is you have come to that decision together and it felt right for you ❤️

@seven201 I've not had issues with hydroxy but I know some people have had similar. I hope you made the boat trip?

@Janefx40 did your period show?

@Gardenlady543 I how you're doing ok.

I'm not feeling confident, my patch is really crinkly from yesterday, so I've been pressing it down and keep checking it.
I also had a horrible panic attack yesterday. Was really quite frightening as I was out on my own.

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 15/08/2022 14:30

@VenusStarr I'm so sorry about the panic attack. Well done for getting through it. That can't have been easy. Have everything crossed for tomorrow.

Period started on Saturday but was black blood so think it was a bit delayed. Am off to my baseline scan now. Weird abdominal pain came back so went to GP but she says she doesn't think it is appendicitis or anything else that needs urgent treatment. Exhausted by all this and having another unproductive work day as a result x

Janefx40 · 15/08/2022 14:31

@seven201 how are you feeling now?

@birdbybird we don't have patient coordinators but it sounds seriously annoying!! Hope she gets back in touch soon or you find a workaround x

seven201 · 15/08/2022 14:42

@birdbybird have you sent a chase email? There's no patient co-ordinators at my clinic, just a general 'nurses@' email to email.

@VenusStarr gosh. The panic attack sounds scary. Have you had those before? Personally, the best area I've found for patches is just to either side of my bum crack or top of the middle thigh, near to pants. Anywhere else I've found it can go crinkly from where I bend/twist etc.

@Janefx40 congrats on the period! Good to get going.

Still just dark brown spotting here, that seems to be tailing off. Not sure if it actually was a very very light period. Will just have to wait and see. I managed the boat trip - saw some dolphins and didn't pop myself! I didn't take all my supplements this morning (did take my meds), so I think that's helped a bit. I'm on high dose of metformin, which already causes tummy problems for me, so hoping the hydroxy settles soon, as combined it's not going well!

VenusStarr · 15/08/2022 16:21

Thank you @Janefx40 I still feel a bit unsettled. Let us know how your scan goes. Glad your checked in about the abdominal pain. I'm sorry you're feeling exhausted, it's just such a lot isn't it ❤️

I've not had one for years @seven201 it was really horrible 😪
That's good advice for the patch, stupidly I wanted it as close as possible to my uterus, so the estrogen could somehow get to my lining quicker! 😅

Your dolphin trip sounds fab and very glad you didn't have an accident. Hope things settle for you soon.

seven201 · 15/08/2022 16:26

Sorry @Janefx40 I posted in a hurry earlier so didn't catch everything. Sorry about the exhaustion and further tummy worries. I hope the scan went well?

@VenusStarr I wanted to do that too! But eventually decided it's better if it's not stressful trying to keep the damn things from coming off. Although, as you've said, they are such a pain when you do want to get them off.

Janefx40 · 15/08/2022 16:37

@seven201 glad you made the boat trip and definitely glad there were no awkward moments 💩! What have our lives become?!!

I often don't get a proper period after a miscarriage or chemical. I can get a "spotting" experience after 25-30 days and have sometimes tracked ovulation after that point that seems to have worked. Sorry I didn't say sooner - it just occurred to me now.

Janefx40 · 15/08/2022 16:38

I just hired a room at Epsom library because I'm running an important meeting after my intralipids and it's the only time I can do it! The logistics of all this crap scramble my brain

seven201 · 15/08/2022 18:34

@Janefx40 that is crap that you've had to book a room. Bet it was time consuming and stressful tying to find somewhere suitable. So all good at your scan?

I think maybe it was my period. It's a shame as I didn't start the letrazole as I didn't have "full flow" that the instructions mention. I'm now thinking maybe I try and get a scan for in 10 days or so to see if I'm nearing ovulation and perhaps ask for intralipids on a natural trying month. Urgh. Need to have a think and look at treatments plans to work out if it could work. Wish opks worked for me!

VenusStarr · 16/08/2022 10:58

Cancelled again 😪 ugh.
Doctor wants to try natural modified with dose stims next time. That was where I was thinking, so good we're on the same page. Not really sure how that works with my ERA, does anyone know?

I asked about another ivf cycle, if were stimulating as I'm worried about my low amh and lack of eggs, but he said I had loads of follicles 🤷🏻‍♀️ weird.

Anyway, we're having a couple of months off now and hopefully can do it on October sometime.

@VenusStarr FFS. I’m so sorry. Was thinking about you this morning and hoped it would be good news. Happy you’re on the same page add so consultant though.

Almost settled into new place. Thanks for asking. Run into a few problems but landlord quite responsive (renting for a couple of years while we get to know the area better). So I’m beginning to clear my head enough to focus on next steps. My period eventually arrived so I’m getting prepped, ordering meds, planning my stay in London (all being well I’ll be away for 12 days). That’s the hardest part. The not being at home.

Sending lots of love to everyone 💛

Oh no! I'm so sorry @VenusStarr. What a nightmare. I don't know anything about the proposed cycle but I thought it sounded good to do an egg collection at the same time. What's the cost difference and how many do you have in the freezer? How are you feeling (probably a silly question)?

MyEasterEggs · 16/08/2022 12:05

How are you feeling today @seven201? Glad you didn’t poop yourself!

And @Janefx40? Hope the pains have settled now 🙏🏻

VenusStarr · 16/08/2022 12:15

Thanks @seven201 I asked about doing another collection at the same time but he said to just concentrate on the FET for now. So cost wise, it's just the stims meds as we've already paid for the FET cycle. Just need to pay another cancellation fee. But my clinic only charge £400 for that.
Just one embaby 🥰 and every time I go for a scan they comment on how precious it is andhow its an excellent quality and they don't want to risk putting it back in a crappy lining.
He did say they'd go for 6.5mm lining from now on, as long as it looks like a good triple layer.

@MyEasterEggs glad you're settling in 🙂

OP posts:
seven201 · 16/08/2022 12:26

@VenusStarr that makes sense then. Stings having to pay for a cancelled round! What did your lining measure at today?

seven201 · 16/08/2022 12:29

@MyEasterEggs I'm Glad the new place is going well. Must be stressful having to be away for so long. Can you work while away or using us precious leave?

I'm alright. Just fed up that I am probably missing a superovulation round by not realising my brown spotting was my body's attempt at a period this month. I've emailed CRP asking if I can have a scan at the end of next week to see what's going on and asking what I should do.

VenusStarr · 16/08/2022 12:34

Really mixed @seven201 the thinner parts were triple layer but only 5.9mm (down from 6.2mm) and the thickest part was 7.3mm but cloudy.

I've spoken to crp and they're concerned about the lack of triple layer and cloudiness and are saying I might need another hysteroscopy or saline scan as it could be a polyp? The cloudiness is right where they'd put the embryo.
I just think the d&c from my last loss has damaged my lining 💔

OP posts:
MyEasterEggs · 16/08/2022 13:04

@seven201 I’ll work while I’m away but will probably try and lighten my workload for next few weeks and focus on what’s necessary. Don’t cope well with too much pressure…hence the extreme advanced planning 😅

seven201 · 16/08/2022 13:32

@VenusStarr oh no. That sounds so frustrating and upsetting that it could be from the d&c. Aghhh. Don't rush your decision.

@MyEasterEggs I'm glad you don't have to use up your leave and can lighten your workload a bit.
