@Janefx40 how’s your appetite today? Have you had constipation or diarrhoea? Guessing you’d notice a temperature but with the weather being so warm it might be easy to overlook so worth checking. I had acute appendicitis and started with pains the previous day then had temperature, fever and chills through the night. Ended up with home doctor that morning and appendix out by afternoon. But I’ve heard of chronic appendicitis which can cause pain over longer periods.

Yuliaaa · 12/08/2022 09:55

@VenusStarr good luck today! 🍀
@Janefx40 I hope it's nothing serious!!!!!! 💕

VenusStarr · 12/08/2022 10:27

Glad you've got an appointment @Janefx40 and really hope it's nothing serious.

Thank you @Yuliaaa slow progress, but there is some 🙏 was 6.2mm today, nice triple layer the nurse said. I'm on estrogen patches now too, plus 4 progynova. I did try one vaginally last night, so might just continue with that one in the evening before bed. Back Tuesday. X

@VenusStarr sorry for not remembering. That is great news and good progress. Loads of time to progress more too in 3 days. All that yoga is paying off!

@MyEasterEggs thank you. No fever. Appetite is reduced but ok. Maybe a bit constipated yes. Hopefully it will pass

Xxx

Yuliaaa · 12/08/2022 17:45

@VenusStarr 🤞it thickens more.
@Janefx40 thinking of you!

VenusStarr · 12/08/2022 18:32

That's ok @Janefx40 how you feeling? I hope you got some reassurance at the GP (or some insight into what's going on!) Did your period arrive today?

Thank you @Yuliaaa I'm already paranoid that the patch has crinkles in it so I won't absorb it 🙄 I found some shredded beetroot reduced to 20p in tesco, so despite telling myself I'm not going to go for all the old wives tales as it did bugger all last time, I bought it 😅

How's everyone getting on @Gardenlady543 @seven201 @thislittlebird @birdbybird 💕

@VenusStarr I love beetroot. Maybe I should get some. Forgot to get the good pomegranate juice today. I only have the one that is 20% pomegranate, 80% sugar!!

So the "apendicitis" pain disappeared 🙈 I may have been panicking unduly. The GP upped my dose of omeprazole for the heartburn. And that is that for now!!

Period almost started but not quite. Should be tomorrow which is easier timing workwise but more annoying for ruining our holiday! Xxx

Janefx40 · 12/08/2022 23:03

@VenusStarr sorry I know nothing about wrinkly patches!!!

VenusStarr · 13/08/2022 10:33

Glad you have been checked out @Janefx40 I hope the symptoms ease. Thats annoying about af and your holiday 😑Hope the timings all work out.

Trying not to overthink, but since being on the patch, I have been more tired - fell asleep mid-conversation with dh last night! Stirred a few minutes later and he just shook his head! 😅 so I'm hoping it means I am absorbing it and it works it's magic on my lining. Have done more yoga this morning and going to go for a long walk and hope I don't melt!

Hope everyone is doing ok at the moment ❤️

@VenusStarr fingers crossed the estrogen is doing its job. You're doing great with the yoga etc. I still don't have a period. Some blood last night but disappeared again.

MyEasterEggs · 13/08/2022 13:20

@VenusStarr you’re inspiring me with the yoga! I got back on the mat yesterday after a very long break from doing any kind of movement besides a home move 😆

Got a couple of Maya massage sessions left too so will make use of those this cycle. Or maybe I should wait until treatment cycle? My friend is an Arvigo therapist and has been such a great support but I haven’t taken advantage of her skills since egg collection. Ought to learn how to do it myself really…

Good to see that lining is thickening up. You must be feeling really positive and I hope it continues to go well 😀

Glad you’re okay @Janefx40. Waiting on my period to arrive was tortuous. It finally got going a few days ago after a couple of instances of spotting but it’s been lighter than usual.

Next steps for me are getting results from Wednesday’s blood tests…I had five final tests and hoping nothing shows in any of them as I can’t be doing with more meds. But good for peace of mind 💛

birdbybird · 13/08/2022 13:40

Hi @VenusStarr I’m ok. 2 weeks + 2 days post the surgery. Waiting for a period now. Last time it took 4.5 weeks. Planning to Pgt-a test the two frozen embryos. I told Create’s patient coordinator on Monday and they hadn’t even gotten the consent forms to me by Friday… very slow. Anyway if no euploids then potentially cycle again in October and then December. Waiting for my appointment with Dr Shehata in the third week of September. So a bit of time to just relax a bit. And plan the financial side of things of how to pay for it all.
I’m still getting a tiny amount of beige discharge post mc.
Hope your appointment went ok @seven201 .

seven201 · 13/08/2022 17:20

@Yuliaaa I'm glad your fibroid has gone. I hope the break is helping.

@VenusStarr good progress on the lining. Hope it continues! Don't worry about the wrinkly patches, I was told it's only a problem if they start to properly fall off (mine have, had to replace, sometimes can tape them to keep them on). Sorry about the tiredness. I hate that!

@Janefx40 sorry about the pains and the associated worries but I'm glad it's sorted now. I was going to suggest omeperazole (if just heartburn pains) if you had any left over from dr S treatment. So are you saying you have to cancel the holiday?

@MyEasterEggs hope the blood tests are all clear.

@birdbybird glad to hear you're doing alright and have a plan in place

@Gardenlady543 well done for trying naturally this cycle. Worth a shot!

I'm alrightish. I did my repeat pregnancy test yesterday and there was still a tiny line but it could have been an indent as I couldn't see any colour in it (the one earlier in the week had a little pink in it). I bought another brand today so will test in the morning and call the epu if there's a line still. I've had 4 days of dark brown spotting, so was convinced my period was about to arrive. So no clue where I am in my cycle now. I've got my letrazole ready though, so that's good. Also had my loading dose of hydroxy, so that's good. Just feeling worn down by it at the moment. Feeling resentful of being on holiday and having to do infertility admin, getting stressed about getting the tablets delivered in time etc.

seven201 · 13/08/2022 18:30

Also, I've been trying to get organised on re-starting some of the thin lining supplements. I just read on the it starts with the egg website that you shouldn't take l-arginine before egg collection as it effects egg quality. My copy of the book is at home so I can't look it up. Anyone know more on this? As I'm doing some superovulation rounds, I don't want to affect egg quality, but do want to take it if it will help my lining to thicken more! Also, what's the recommended dose?

Yuliaaa · 13/08/2022 18:37

@seven201 I've read the same info in her book about the arginine, but I don't know what to think. I've read a lot of conflicting info about it. Some say it does nothing. Last night I listened to an US Ivf doctor recommending it. I only take it from time to time, and that's because the book freaked me out too 🙄.

birdbybird · 13/08/2022 19:20

@seven201 following my miscarriage last year, I had 4 days of spotting before the light first day of the period followed by a heavier second day. So I wouldn’t be surprised if your period showed up shortly. I don’t usually spot for several days before periods… so that was a one off.

Glad it's not just me who's confused! Maybe I'll take a low dose. Maybe I won't! Keep changing my mind.

MyEasterEggs · 13/08/2022 20:11

@seven201 I wasn’t on l-arginine before EC and I had a supplement planned drawn up by a fertility nutritionist. My partner was on it prior to giving his sample though.

The main things I was on were:

Ubiquinol
PQQ
N-acetyl cysteine
Senolytic activator

I was also on (and continue to take):

Inessa multi nutritient
Omega 3
Methyl folate
Inofolic
Vitamin D3
Collagen powder

And now the bit from the "embryo transfer" section. The dose they recommend is 6g which is 8 tablets a day compared to the 1 which is the stated dose. I've stopped taking it as I was concerned it was giving me the heartburn although that isn't listed as a possible side effect so who knows

@birdbybird sounds like you are getting things in order. Sometimes good to have some time off

@seven201 probably not an indent as we know you have been pregnant but looks as though it is fading. Hormones can take ages to disappear entirely x

seven201 · 13/08/2022 23:03

@MyEasterEggs thank you, that's helpful. I'm on some of those too, but not heard of all of them so I will have a Google.

Thank you so so much @Janefx40. I'm going to give those pages a read tomorrow when I'm not so sleepy!

Love to all x
