Ah right. Sorry. I got muddled because I thought one of those tests checked for endometriosis. I guess I should know this after having all those tests AND being on this thread for goodness knows how long! 😊

When would you have to decide about the receptiva?

@Gardenlady543 ps hope the meeting with the surgeon goes well. What day is it?

@Gardenlady543 I hope the LIT and biopsy stuff comes together for Tuesday. Will you find out tomorrow? Sorry, I have no idea if you should do that extra test/biopsy. I hope the consultant is helpful in deciding stuff. Checking for silent endo so does sound sensible to me, mainly for ruling out purposes.

@Janefx40 glad you're feeling better. So nice you got to see your friend.

@VenusStarr well done on getting going with cd1. Hope you get the appt booked in ok.

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Ladies,
I had to cancel an ERA last week due to covid so disappointing, this happen anyone else I'm wondering about best time to reschedule haven't been talking to the secretary or consultant yet. Would a month later be ok I guess it's when they can fit me in again. The obstacles seem never ending at times with this process.

Hopeful199 · 11/07/2022 07:29

Morning @Endure100

so sorry got tests have been cancelled….. so frustrating isn’t it! Hope you’re not feeling too poorly either. I can’t speak for ERA but I had my transfer cancelled for covid. They told me to come off the tablets and just start again on day 1 of my bleed….. so I only ended up being delayed 2 weeks in the end. I guess it depends if you think your body needs a rest in between? But I felt fine and wanted to just carry on.

hope they are able to get things moving soon again for you

Endure100 · 11/07/2022 07:43

Thanks @Hopeful199
Just learned its the clinics policy to wait 7 weeks post covid to go again must be for anesthetic so it's out of my hands. Thanks for the well wishes. In it for the long haul.

seven201 · 11/07/2022 09:44

@Endure100 I don't think I had sedation for the biopsy (I have a rubbish memory and it was a while ago though). I thought I just took paracetamol. Personally, I'd check if they'd let you do it without so you're not further delayed (I hate delays!). Sorry about the covid. Bloody covid!

seven201 · 11/07/2022 10:58

Sorry need urgent advice. Embryo stopped growing. Should I opt for the manual vacuum aspiration (and testing) at CRP or go natural route?

seven201 · 11/07/2022 11:02

@VenusStarr @Gardenlady543 @Janefx40

Janefx40 · 11/07/2022 11:07

@seven201 I'm so sorry 💐💐💐

Are you wanting to test the embryo? When do you need to decide?

I've only ever had a surgical management. Is that the same as the manual vacuum? Other losses were chemical so passed naturally. I'm here and will keep checking the thread if you need me

Oh god @seven201 I'm sorry is this definitely the end? I know cream had booked in the d&c and then found out on a scan that things had looked up, but this scan has definitely showed things are over is that right?

I don't know what to advise, I know d&c can cause scarring and adhesions, can you book in with Lower to advise what he thinks and if he thinks d&c have it with him? I'm sure @VenusStarr knows more than me, also cream has experience with this.

seven201 · 11/07/2022 11:22

It's a manual vacuum aspiration under sedation. So they suck it out then send it off for testing and put some acidic solution on my womb after to protect it from damage. So not the same as d&c. She said it would probably be today or tomorrow. Just don't know if I need it as it was pgta tested already (she said that is sometimes wrong). Or I can take my chances at trying to collect the sample myself. Could get the tablets from the epu.

Thank you @Gardenlady543 and @Janefx40

I've messaged cream

Janefx40 · 11/07/2022 11:24

@seven201 I know it means another journey but would you prefer to book this in for tomorrow rather than today to give you time to think?! I delayed my surgery by 3 days because I didn't feel ready. Then you can always cancel tomorrow's appointment if you change your mind?

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 11/07/2022 11:24

Oh @seven201 I'm so so sorry 💔 if you go down mva with crp, they'll sedate you and look after you. The testing of the baby takes around 4 weeks. I know it was a pgs tested embryo but I'd probably recommend testing for peace of mind? Has the clinic suggested either way? My protocol was changed on the basis of cytogenetics but it wasn't a tested embryo.

I'm sending you lots of love ❤️ are you on your own today? Xx

VenusStarr · 11/07/2022 11:26

In my case, I wanted the baby tested and couldn't face passing the baby at home. I did collect and test my 4th at home after medication to bring it on. X

VenusStarr · 11/07/2022 11:29

Sorry, just catching up on the previous messages. If you want the baby tested, going with the mva seems like a preferable option (im sorry, i cant think of the rught word, i know none of this is the preferred option), but like @Janefx40 says, give yourself some time. Its such a shock ❤️

I was sedated for the hysteroscopy and I remember nothing. They were very kind and looked after me. Its a lot to take in today, we're all here with you xxx

seven201 · 11/07/2022 11:52

Thank you ladies. I'm leaning towards taking the tablets and trying to collect myself. Can't get through to the gp reception to get a referral to epu (that's where I get the tablets apparently).

Janefx40 · 11/07/2022 11:59

@seven201 ok well done. That sounds like you're making progress on deciding. I think it is a very personal thing based more on how you feel emotionally than anything else.

From my perspective both the advantage and disadvantage of having surgical/MVA is that it is all over very quickly. On the one hand it is within your control - you know when it's going to happen. On the other hand, it is all over very suddenly when you get to the other side.

Are you home now?

I'm sorry you have to go through this xxxxx

I managed to speak to a gp (this is a miracle at my surgery) and am booked in at the epu for tomorrow morning so going to ask for the tablets. I think I'll stop the progesterone tonight or should I do tonight's suppository still?

Thank you for all your advice and support.

I had to let my locked out neighbour into her house just now and cried on her, poor woman!

Janefx40 · 11/07/2022 13:56

@seven201 ah you are too selfless. Don't worry about the neighbour!!!

I think you could stop progesterone if you prefer to. I kept taking it until surgical management to stop the miscarriage happening naturally (I waited 4 days through choice). But as you are going for a natural and have an appointment tomorrow I'm sure you could stop.

I'm glad you managed to get an EPU appointment. Let us know what they say xxx

OP posts:
seven201 · 11/07/2022 14:29

Thank you. Maybe I'll stop progesterone now then. In my head the tablets should hopefully make the miscarriage quicker than if it were to happen naturally. So thought maybe I should do tonight's. I'll have a Google later. I've managed to book in an appt with Dr S on 8th august, so at least that's not super far off.

@Gardenlady543 did you find out about tomorrow yet?

Janefx40 · 11/07/2022 14:50

@seven201 I was told that the progesterone support would stop me miscarrying naturally but lots of people don't miscarry anyway without medical or surgical management so it doesn't mean that you will.

Hope you're taking good care of yourself today xxx

OP posts:
Gardenlady543 · 11/07/2022 14:55

@seven201 oh don't worry about me and the scheduling (it's a week tomorrow the biopsy is booked for so I won't know what's happening until the end of the week), and don't worry about the neighbour, I'm not surprised you got tearful with them, what an abysmally shit day.

It sounds like you've managed to get lots sorted out today, glad you have an appointment with Dr S in the diary. If you can collect for testing then it might be useful. PGT-A is not 100%, they only sample a few cells from the placental area.

I hope you're ok ❤️

Yuliaaa · 11/07/2022 15:03

@seven201 I am so so so sorry for what happened. Such a hard situation to handle. I am sending you lots of love! 💕

Hopeful199 · 11/07/2022 16:12

Oh @seven201 I am so so sorry to hear your news

There are just no words.... i wish there was something we can do. But we are all here to support you in any way we can 💐

I would say if they are certain and you want to pass it naturally then you are safe to stop the pessaries as that is the main thing preventing it.

I am truly so sorry x
