Thank you @seven201 🤞 for your test in the morning ❤️

Well done @Janefx40 hope you're feeling better and not sore after your run!

Thank you @Yuliaaa

Dreading the morning to be honest 😕 mind has been overanalysing every twinge and possible symptom. Will let you guys know tomorrow 🙏🙃 thank you for having hope in the absence of mine! Xx

VenusStarr · 13/06/2022 06:39

Morning. I'm pretty certain is a negative. There is a slight line / shadow visible but nothing I'm confident with. So think it's bfn. Which I expected.

I'm ok, waiting for dh to wake up and we're having a bacon sandwich for breakfast 😋

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Have a stare at it together when dh is up and decide if you'll do another tomorrow or not. I am jealous of the bacon sandwich!

seven201 · 13/06/2022 07:36

No news from me. Line still there, no lighter, no darker!

VenusStarr · 13/06/2022 08:16

Dh saw it in the bathroom, came back to bed and I said I think its negative. He looked at me and said its very negative. I said did you pick it up and squint at it?! He said no 😅
Honestly, I think its just a crappy shadow. I'll test tomorrow but I'm sure that's it.

@seven201 sorry the lines are no darker. But good you're testing positive. Did you say you're doing hcg bloods? X

Janefx40 · 13/06/2022 08:17

@VenusStarr oh I'm sorry it's not been a better result. Well done for surviving the test. I wish we could all sit holding hands and be there together when we have to do these tests. How many dpo are you now?

@seven201 I'm sorry you are stuck in this limbo. Definitely as CRP for an Hcg test today

Love to you both xxx

VenusStarr · 13/06/2022 08:38

Thank you @Janefx40 ❤️ I'm not 100% when I ovulated but at least 10dpo today. So according to Dr S it should be showing by now.

I'll test again tomorrow and will continue meds today just in case. I'm hyper aware of my uterus and I'm undecided if I can feel af brewing as well.

Trying to focus on the fact we do have our embaby and all being well, I will have it transferred next cycle.

Xx

Yuliaaa · 13/06/2022 08:54

@VenusStarr I am so sorry for the test result! Sending you a big hug! 💜
@seven201 So sorry about lines! I hope you will be able to do an hcg test! 🤞

seven201 · 13/06/2022 11:50

I'm hooked up to the intralipids. They couldn't do a HCG unless I agreed to come back in two days (it's an hour each way and I'm work) to do another so I'll have to wait for the finger prick one to arrive in the post.

seven201 · 13/06/2022 11:52

Also, the nurse here said not to dye my white roots until I'm 12 weeks. Aghhh. I have nearly black hair and very obvious roots already (I dyed a week before transfer)

Janefx40 · 13/06/2022 12:08

@seven201 I bet you look lovely white roots and all!!! Annoying about the Hcg test although they are right of course that it's best to do 2. Medichecks it is then! Hope intralipids go ok.

@VenusStarr obviously Dr S knows his stuff but 10dpo is very early. That is the equivalent of 5 days past transfer. And you did see a shadow. Not wanting to give you false hope tho. Will you be testing again tomorrow?

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 13/06/2022 12:36

That's annoying about the hcg test @seven201 and your hair! Here's hoping you have long white roots because all is progressing well 🤞

@Janefx40 I've never had a positive before 11dpo. I keep doubting myself but there's definitely something there. This stuff drives me crazy. I'll test again in the morning. If it's the same as today, I'll just think its crap tests (even though they're bloody frer and expensive!)

seven201 · 13/06/2022 14:55

@VenusStarr I think 10dpo is quite early too. I don't think you can rule it out until 14dpo really. I bet you've been getting that pregnancy test in and out of the bin. I do that! Extreme circumstances call for taking it apart and holding up to the light. Your dh needs to up his examination skills. I've not yet resorted to doing the turning it into a negative dark photo yet.

Gardenlady543 · 13/06/2022 18:34

Sounds like I've missed a lot of updates, great news about your positive @seven201

I have finally gotten round to booking appointments, I've booked remote consultations with Dr Gorgy on 21st June and Mr Trew on 13th July, so a month wait for Mr Trew. I think that one fibroid can be removed by hysteroscopy but if I need the other out (which I'd rather do as it's only going to continue to cause problems) I think it would need to be removed via a laparoscopy. The person that booked in the consultation said Mr Trew tends to do hysteroscopies and doesn't think he'll do a laparoscopy, but his colleague does them. I think the first step is to discuss the scans and see what he thinks. Not sure then what to do as Dr Gorgy will say do LIT x 2, but it's going to be a month before discussing surgery then likely 1-2 months to get the surgery booked in and then time to recover. So not sure if the LIT should be closer to a transfer.

seven201 · 13/06/2022 19:56

Well done @Gardenlady543 that sounds like good steps forward. It sounds like they're very honest and wouldn't do things outside of their own specialisms, which is reassuring. Sorry, I don't know anything about LIT so can't offer any wisdom.

VenusStarr · 13/06/2022 20:30

Glad you've got your appointments booked @Gardenlady543

Have you retested this evening @seven201 I don't think I can be bothered to test again. Deep down I know its failed. I did buy more tests but the whole thing is just making me feel super shit. My clinic has changed its protocol so I have to test when af arrives anyway now 🙄 so might just wait for her to arrive.

I think just see how you feel tomorrow morning and each morning there after. It's so tough and there's no right or wrong. Sorry it's so shit.

Janefx40 · 14/06/2022 07:23

@seven201 @VenusStarr good luck if you're testing again today. Sorry it's a tough time.

@Gardenlady543 it sounds like things are getting under way. Are you on the UK reproductive immunology FB group? Lots of people on there go to Gorgy so it's a good place to ask questions x

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 14/06/2022 11:30

Thanks @Janefx40 I did test just to torture myself 🙄 looked the same initially but it's a negative. Yesterday's test does have a faint indent I think.
So I've messaged crp to say I'm just waiting for af and we'll go straight into the FET.

I'm now paranoid that my period won't arrive. Need to find ways to get out of my own head.

How are you?

Hope you're doing ok @seven201 Xx

Janefx40 · 14/06/2022 11:59

@VenusStarr ugh. Sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok

@seven201 when are you likely to get the finger prick results

OP posts:
seven201 · 14/06/2022 15:47

@VenusStarr sorry to hear that. Tests can be absolute torture! Odds are your period will arrive soonish. Hope it's soon so you can get started.

I nipped home at lunch as the finger prick blood test arrived, so that's posted off now. Dare i say it but I think my pregnancy test line is a bit darker than a couple of days ago. I'm trying to not get excited, but failing!

Janefx40 · 14/06/2022 16:36

@seven201 let yourself get excited!! If it doesn't work out it will feel shit, yes, but it won't feel any worse because you let yourself have a little hope. And maybe it will work out. I'm going to get excited too!

OP posts:
Gardenlady543 · 14/06/2022 17:43

@Janefx40 yeah I am, also there is a recurrent implantation failure group on there where lots of people have the hla match. It's hard to know whether things will work, I'll ask gorgy what he thinks the chance is when I speak to him. I feel like a lot of fertility specialists are overly optimistic to keep us motivated though.

@VenusStarr I'm sorry, how are you feeling about things, will you be going straight into another try with some adjustments to treatment?

VenusStarr · 14/06/2022 17:54

That's great news @seven201 💕 how long will your finger process results take?

@Gardenlady543 thank you. I'm ok, feel a bit deflated but then it was a real long shot and we've not ttc naturally in over a year and we've never caught first time. So in reality, I was expecting / hoping for miracles!
As soon as my period arrives, I'll start estrogen on cd2, get my first scan booked in for day 9 and then hope my lining is OK 🤞 last time I transferred on cd19, so not changing any of my protocol other than I'm now on metformin and will take the gcsf. I've also swapped clexane for fragmin but doing it at the same point as I did last time.

I feel a lot of pressure as we'll have no embryos left after this. We're not ready to stop yet, but the thought of more ivf is daunting. Need to just remind myself to focus on now.

I hope when you see Dr G he's open with you. I do find with Dr S that if I ask him direct questions, he does consider his response. I'm trying to tell myself to trust him. He's told us to have hope but he's realistic.

How are you @Violette22 @Yuliaaa @Janefx40 lots of love to everyone xx

seven201 · 14/06/2022 18:48

Thank you ladies. I'm not sure how long the results will take, I'm hoping for Thursday. I won't post about it until I have a result, as this thread isn't just about me and my lines.

@VenusStarr there's a lot of pressure when using up last embryos from a batch. I know the super ovulation round was a bit of a disaster this time round, but perhaps that's something that could be tweaked/improved.

I thought fragmin and clexane were the same thing?
