Hello, just wondering if anyone had any success stories they wanted to share with 'poorer' quality embryos? We're doing FET at the moment with our one & only Frostie - think it's a 4cb.

Lol yes I've been having lots of symptoms this time but think most of them possibly coming from the progesterone..
OTD is Friday! They don't do bloods thought - I just take the hpt they gave me like last time.

@Happycrocodile Defo will be testing first thing! Do you get a beta done or is it just hpt for you too?

@ivfmumto1 my clinic do beta about 9 or 10 dpt, it’s a 150mile round trip though!

@Happycrocodile omg that's a long journey! Great that they do bloods though - wish my clinic did. Thinking of you today - so exciting!

@ivfmumto1 a journey I won’t be taking unfortunately, they couldn’t complete the transfer today because they couldn’t get past my cervix. Sitting on the train with a bottle of red wine (having not had a drink since 2021) feeling a bit deflated, everything seemed perfect.

@Happycrocodile oh no! I didn't even realise that could happen - I'm so sorry to hear this. Can they refreeze your embryo?

@ivfmumto1 neither did I 😩 yes, they can apparently refreeze it and it shouldn’t do it any harm. Then either undergo a small procedure mid next cycle to get through the cervix and then transfer the following cycle or do a transfer under sedation so they can be a bit more brutal (but to be honest, 2 hours today were rather brutal)

@Happycrocodile yes what a horrible day it must've been - so disappointing after preparing for it. So glad they can refreeze embaby tho!

@Happycrocodile confession - did test this morning and bfn ☹️ but had a cry and feeling much more positive now. Spoke to clinic and they've agreed prob won't change by tmrw but have to test in the morning anyway. They've put me on the waiting list for fresh cycle without further consultant appointment (that would take an extra 4 months) so will be June/July. So complete healthy eating, exercise and gonna order Impryl supplements for DH & me (have you heard of these?) - clinic have patients who have used this with lots of BFPs naturally either before IVF or with - improves sperm and egg quality 🤞

@ivfmumto1 I’m so sorry to hear that, that’s crap 😩

My fresh cycle I took ubiquinol, cut alcohol and caffeine, drank a large glass or organic full fat milk every day and did acupuncture once a month in the lead up then day before transfer and 4 days after. I’ve not heard of impryl but I’m a kitchen sink kind of person so I just do everything I think can help!

We’ve got a holiday booked at Easter so Km going to eat nothing but steamed veg and grilled proteins, get skinny for that and then plan to start again after that! We’ll probably end up being cycle buddies again!

@Happycrocodile I've read about acupuncture & IVF - people say it's so relaxing too? Am gonna give it a go! Need to lose about a stone at least (BMI about 26.5) so that'll definitely help too, no alcohol and lots of water (the Impryl will be here prob Monday so will start then lol!)

So are you going to do the small procedure and transfer following cycle or the sedation? Did they recommend one over the other or just whatever you prefer?

@Happycrocodile just read my last post back - to be clear I've not had a wine yet (no alcohol since New Year 2019/20 for us!) but was going to have a couple on Sat night if it's still bfn tmrw! What a long cycle (started 24th Dec) this has been! 😢

@ivfmumto1 Waiting to hear what the clinic advise, they did call to say the blast had frozen well so that’s something!

Such a long time 😔 Definitely calls for a wine (or three)!
