New posters are welcome. On here you will find a group of women who are either doing these tests or have done them already and are further on the journey

@StillTrying10000 that is good news. I know what you mean - kind of nice to find a fixable problem in some ways. That's great your next transfer will be so soon.

Thanks @seven201 and @VenusStarr It's a medicated frozen transfer, I'm lucky they let me start meds whists I waited for the results encase this happened x

@StillTrying10000 it's good news that there's nothing wrong but I know what you mean about wanting answers. If it helps, I had my follow up consultation today and he said that people always want to do something different but studies show that if you do 3 identical (euploid admittedly) transfers, 95 % of people will get pregnant. So it's not always necessary to do something different. Fingers crossed this is your time xxx

@VenusStarr I've been ok today thanks. Yesterday I was a total mess. Just spent the day sobbing. But already the hormones have shifted and I've started looking forwards. Not sure whether to admit to DP that I've already made an appointment with Dr Shehata. It's tricky because he makes it very difficult to discuss anything but then gets cross when I make unilateral decisions. Our relationship is in chaos. Just have to hope we can pull back together once we get through the worst of this x

@Janefx40 oh it is so tough. My dh leaves things to me but then occasionally asks me questions I don't know the answer to and then gets frustrated. It certainly does test relationships. When is your Shehata appt?

That's interesting about the 3 transfers thing.

@seven201 21st Feb but as soon as I get the patient history form in, I'll start calling daily to find cancellations. I'd like to start sooner. I'm not expecting a period until April so would be good to use that time to prepare.

@Janefx40 how did you get sooner than me?! I'm 24th! And 21st is my day off so so much better than a teaching day. Aghh. I'm going to email to check they have no more 21st avaiablility. I'm glad yours is soon though

@seven201 when she rang she said it was a cancellation! If I manage to get one sooner I will let you know and you can nab the 21st! Or we can both go on the 21st and meet for lunch!

@Janefx40 you were so lucky getting that one! I booked maybe 10 days ago and am later than you. I emailed this afternoon to check they had no more ones on the 21st and she said no . I'm going to be totally crazy and message you later with my real name so if you do get a sooner one then you can tell her I'll have your 21st one (if you don't mind) ! Meeting for lunch would be so nice!

When's your follow up? Mine's 21st March. I think I could have got sooner but wanted a Monday.

@seven201 don't scream but my follow up is 7th March!! It must have just been the two appointments that were cancelled!!

Omfg! I am trying to not mind but this has really pissed me off! Not your fault at all obviously. Every infertility appointment I have always always has huge delays. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Please don't be sorry! I'm being irrational, I know. I was perfectly happy with my appointments before so I need to get over it

@seven201 @Janefx40 Dr S must be living in a mansion being this in demand. While we all scrape the pennies together to sub for what nature neglected to give us. 🤨

It's first appts for both of you with him right? On the plus side I do think most have a system where once you're on their books it's much easier to get appts booked in 🤞🏼 good luck both

Glad you both have appointments booked @seven201 @Janefx40 I hope you both get some answers 🤞you definitely get priority when you're in the system. I've got appointments quickly in the past.

Still nothing from the hospital. I chased on Monday, so I'm going to get in touch with pals as I don't have a number to call and my mental health is on the floor with it. I spent my counselling session in tears yesterday, being in limbo just waiting is so hard 😢

@VenusStarr I'm so sorry it's taking so long and no one has got back to you. I'm not surprised you're feeling so low. I'd be a mess. I hope PALS are able to speed things up for you. I think you said you were back at work now?

Thanks @seven201 pals is rubbish, you just leave a message and someone will call you back 🙄 I tried the main number and Tommy's don't have a direct line, so was told to send an email, I explained I already had and she said try again. Ugh.
Yes. I'm back at work, it is helping to keep me occupied, mostly.

Hopefully pals call me back. I've just had the most stressful and upsetting couple of hours. I chased my results earlier this week but heard nothing. So after lots of ringing round, I managed to get hold of someone. She called me back and said the results had been back since December?? I did question this with the timings but she was certain and said we sent a letter. I asked for the results to be emailed but said can you tell me anything? She said yes, chromosomally healthy boy. It absolutely floored me. Called dh at work to tell him. Got the email and she's sent the report from my 2020 loss 💔 it upset me as its obviously the wrong one. But the report also says ask the parents what they want us to do with the remains. But we filled in a form to ask for sympathetic disposal (which is grim in itself) but now I'm worried they didn't do as we asked. I'm so upset.

Also, where is this baby and the report? She said she'd follow it up for me but I don't have much faith 😢😢

Oh @VenusStarr ❤️‍🩹 that is just such a harrowing experience to go through. I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's bad enough going through the loss let alone having to have a mistake like this happen.

Sending you so many hugs and support. I'm starting to wonder if we heal from these losses. I thought I was mostly ok but this chemical has just brought back the grief of it all. Uuugghhghhh. I hope one day we can all look back at this as a hard time in our lives that has past. I hope there is something bright in the future that makes it all worth it

@VenusStarr what the hell so they told you results of a past pregnancy and then realised the error? So you had to receive results and they aren't even the ones you were waiting for. This is beyond shit. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this :(

@VenusStarr oh my god that's appalling. How dare they make this so much harder on you. My heart goes out to you. I can't imagine what it was like to think you have got the report only to find it was from your previous baby. Keep battling! xxxxxx

❤️ @Janefx40 the waves of grief are hard. Sending you a big hug. My counsellor said yesterday that there is nothing comparable to losing a baby, it's deeply wounding.

She didn't even realise until I messaged her back @Gardenlady543 as far as she was concerned, I had the results and all sorted 😢

Thank you @StillTrying10000 I spoke to pals this afternoon. They are contacting the lab to chase my results of this baby and she is asking for clarity on what happened to my boy. I'm exhausted. My period came today too, only 22 days this time. Xx
