@Katie567 I can’t find my report but mine was similar to you except it was streptococcus and staphylococcus so the augmentin did work to clear that. Hopefully augmentin is the right antibiotic for the other types of bacteria you have. I wouldn’t worry about chronic endometris yet - it just says like it did for me that you’ve bacteria that causes it but the antibiotics did clear mine up so hopefully it does same for you.

Katie567 · 31/01/2022 13:38

Thank you...did you have a second biopsy then?

Dochas1211 · 31/01/2022 13:41

Yes I had a second biopsy - that’s how I know the good bacteria got to 75%

Janefx40 · 31/01/2022 14:43

Hi @Katie567 welcome. I'm no help on this but you have the experts in @Gardenlady543 and @Dochas1211 😁

My Hcg has gone down to 11.4 which is good. At least I can stop meds now and move onto the next thing.

Thanks to you all - trying to book in with Dr Shehata but can't get through. @seven201did you find it easy to book the appointment?

Sorry @Janefx40 . At least you have an answer now. I sent an email and left a voicemail and then they called me back the next day I think. They don't seem to answer the phone often. Let me know how you get on.

I had my blood tests today at 2. Turns out I didn't need to fast (seems the dr didn't order me the fasting glucose after all!) so then came out and stuffed my face with Jaffa cakes.

seven201 · 31/01/2022 15:54

@Katie567 welcome. Sorry you've found yourself here too.

StillTrying10000 · 31/01/2022 18:12

@Janefx40 I'm so sorry you're going through this again, sending more hugs ;-( xxx
Just to warn you the clinic are useless with their phone. They explained once the external line goes into the office upstairs so when they are downstairs on reception they can't pick up calls. It used to stress me out but now I know I just email them and they always come back fairly quickly. Clinics are usually in the mornings so afternoon I tend to get an answer more often or email replies, or email and ask them to ring you x

Gardenlady543 · 31/01/2022 18:14

@Katie567 I think the co-amoxiclav should be ok. I would do a repeat analysis. For my third test I did a menstrual fluid test, which is quicker and cheaper than repeating the EMMA.

@Janefx40 I'm sorry, it's been a rollercoaster for you over the last week for you :(

Gardenlady543 · 31/01/2022 18:15

@Dochas1211 I haven't thought about the protocol for me. I'm just worried about all the uncertainties with trying to adapt the progesterone in a completely different cycle.

Katie567 · 31/01/2022 18:20

@Gardenlady543 thanks so much, you're such an expert! Good idea on the menstrual test! Is co- amoxiclav the same as augmentin?

Gardenlady543 · 31/01/2022 18:27

@Katie567 yep it's the same thing, it's a broad spectrum antibiotic. :) the doctor from fetilysis is very good, if you do have bacteria still then he'll suggest a good treatment protocol.

Katie567 · 31/01/2022 18:44

Thanks so much, I hope you have success now your infection is gone!

VenusStarr · 31/01/2022 19:45

I'm very sorry @Janefx40 ❤️ even when you're expecting it, it's still a shock. Sending a bit hug xx
Second @StillTrying10000, crp aren't great at answering the phone, but are responsive to emails. I was impatient booking my initial appointment and just kept calling. I'd recommend booking your results appointment at the same time (2 weeks later), if you decide not to go ahead you can just cancel. They ask for your history before your appointment, so if you have any test results / scans etc, dig those out.
How are you @StillTrying10000? Any news on your results? Hopefully not too much longer.

Welcome @Katie567

Wow @seven201 hope you enjoyed your jaffa cakes - we found the blackcurrant ones reduced in asda. Hope your results don't take too long.

Hope you're OK @Gardenlady543

I chased Tommy's again today, nothing so far. But it took a couple of days to reply last time. Can't believe it's been 10 weeks 😢

Can I just have a rant - it's my husband's 40th soon and I've been planning a surprise party since August. Popped round to my sister's together for her partner's birthday. My nephew shouted out 'it's dh's birthday party the day before my birthday!' I said 'it's his birthday is 3 days before yours, not the day before' and my sister started laughing and went red, shushing him so it was obvious. I mean the whole thing was awkward and not a lot anyone could do. But he knows he's having a surprise party now. She's not even apologised. I don't blame my nephew, he's 5. Why she's told the kids, I don't know. But it's just made me feel rubbish, like I can't do anything right and that we can't have anything nice of our own. My husband has been really good. It just feels tainted, I wanted to do something nice for him after everything we've been through and I know it will still be nice but ffs.

Gardenlady543 · 31/01/2022 19:50

@VenusStarr oh dear that's annoying that your sister told her kids, I'd say you've still kept the surprise! If he's only found out right before it's about to happen! I am sure it will still be an amazing party. Plus maybe your DH is like me and hates surprises to it's the best of both worlds?

VenusStarr · 31/01/2022 19:57

Thanks @Gardenlady543 it's still about 6 weeks away. He won't let on to anyone that he knew. And he doesn't know who's coming (his godson lives a few hundred miles away will be there and I know he'll be chuffed with that). I'd hate to be surprised too! 🤦🏻‍♀️ But he's far more sociable than me x

seven201 · 31/01/2022 20:32

@VenusStarr I'm sorry you're still waiting. That's so hard. I would be sooo annoyed too. Well done for not exploding at your sister. It's the thought that matters, your DH will still have the best time.

CRP people - did your DH's all do the sperm DNA integrity test? We've booked DH in for the same day as my appointment as the email made it sound like that's what you should do. Just not sure if it's unnecessary/waste of money (normal sperm test was fine, slightly low on motility I think). My follow up appt is just over a month after my first one, not sure if that's just because I wanted to do it on my day off. Just warning you janefx40 that it may be more than 2 weeks.

VenusStarr · 31/01/2022 21:04

We didn't do the sperm dna fragmentation @seven201 and it was never pushed once we had my results back. We'd previously looked into with our ivf clinic (before my 4th loss) and they pretty much said it wasn't really worth it. But I wonder if Dr S will suggest it, depending on our results.

Thank you - I've had a little cry, but you're right x

StillTrying10000 · 31/01/2022 21:47

@seven201 My DH did it in the end as Dr S was saying it really is needed as they've recently done some new research to say it can cause MC. There was nothing wrong with Mr supersperm over-here though . I am kind of glad I did it though as it's another thing to worry about if you don't do it and for £500 at least we knew.

@VenusStarr eh! That's such a shame, that would have really wound me up, well done on not losing your top! I agree it's worth chasing now as they should have it by now, I was so annoyed when I waited an extra 2 weeks only to get the report dated 2 weeks early- it had been sat waiting for them to book me an appointment. x

Dochas1211 · 31/01/2022 21:56

@StillTrying10000 yes high DNA fragmentation can cause miscarriage and sometimes can be the missing link for people. I think it’s definitely worth doing as if high DNAfrag is found like it was with my DH there can be underlying causes that are easy to treat and fix.

seven201 · 31/01/2022 21:57

@VenusStarr and @StillTrying10000 thank you. That's useful. I think we'll keep the appointment then.

Janefx40 · 31/01/2022 21:59

@VenusStarr so annoying about your DH's party!! What a shame. As the others have said, the detail is still a surprise and if you've been planning since August, there will be a LOT of detail in there!

I really hope you get your results soon.

@seven201 we did a sperm DNA fragmentation test although we did the Comet one with ARGC and then again with Mr Ramsay (urologist). It is worth doing I think as if there is a serious issue, it does need to be taken into account and it's not something that can be checked any other way. We had a disastrous result but it turned out to be an error - you can't make this stuff up!

Love to you all xxx

@Janefx40 oh my goodness, how awful that must have been. Although ultimately better to have a false alarm than a true problem I suppose. I'm glad to hear the test is worth doing though.

StillTrying10000 · 01/02/2022 17:48

Hope you are all well. I received my test results today and Emma & Alice showed nothing was wrong at all. I'm so confused as I really thought this may have been the breakthrough. Booked in for my next frozen transfer in two weeks, just got to hope 4th time lucky for IVF as I'm desperate not to waste my precious embryo's on another MC and feels odd not to be changing the protocol in any way. x

VenusStarr · 01/02/2022 18:30

I'm glad you have your results @StillTrying10000 I felt similar - how could it be fine? I'm glad it's not delayed your starting your FET. Are you doing a medicated one?

How are you today @Janefx40 ❤️

Hope everyone is OK xx
