Brilliant news @thislittlebird good to have positive news 🙂

All went well thank you, am officially pupo and praying I stay that way 🙏 🥰

thislittlebird · 18/10/2021 19:47

Fingers crossed that pupo will be just pup 🙏 🤞

Yeah, seriously. I’m just so pleased to know something is working. I know we probably aren’t pregnant because of the sperm issue but it’s just nice to know it’s a chance.

Sorry, forgot to @VenusStarr

VenusStarr · 19/10/2021 08:42

It's having the chance isn't it @thislittlebird it gives a glimmer of hope :) are you due to test early next week?

Hope things are OK @beansprout55

@VenusStarr the only problem with hope, of course.......😐

My nurse at the clinic last month was very specific about when I start the progesterone, when I test, then test again, then stop progesterone and so on. This month a different nurse gave me no info whatsoever lol. So I’m just making up when I test. Friday and then repeat Sunday would be in line with what they told me last time but I don’t think I’m pregnant, I’m hoping I can remain chill about it. I probably can’t.

Hope can feel scary and dangerous at times ❤️ @thislittlebird, sometimes it's easier without it. The small win is that the medication worked this cycle :) your plan sounds good 🤞 xx

thislittlebird · 19/10/2021 18:16

@VenusStarr yeah, hope is a killer. I’m pleased the meds worked but am getting more nervous about testing, as usual!

@thislittlebird that's such good news re progesterone!! Gosh that has worked super for you.
Mine too was usually around 16 7DPO but the specialist said that wasn't a problem and they seemed to think I had still ovulated?!
That sounds so promising for you though. Now they seem to have found what works?!x

Results today; HCG was 93 and progesterone was a whopping 49! And there I was complaining to the nurse that I should be having progesterone supplements. Obv the HCG test for day means nothing, apparently it's bang on average for 15DPO but looking on forums most girls seem to have way higher so I was nervous the nurse was wrong and actually thats low ?! Anyway, the blood test on Thursday will be the important one.

@beansprout55 they annoy me with the progesterone thing, they always say it’s fine but it’s clearly not fine or there wouldn’t be a guideline of 20 or 30 to indicate ovulation. I spoke to a private doctor a few months ago who said that you may be ovulating or you may not be, but even if you are you might not have enough progesterone to support a pregnancy. It made sense to me, it’s annoying being told any old number is fine. I found the screenshot attached earlier, thought it was interesting since I did have two follicles so I will assume they both popped out and then there’s some Cyclogest in the mix too.

I’m relieved it works. We might try it again next month, assuming this month is a write off. It’s expensive but if we’re committing to waiting for our nhs round then it’s ok to spend this on it I guess.

I wouldn’t worry too much, I’ve heard so many HCG stories of varying levels. Just read today someone who had super high progesterone, no HCG and she was pregnant with quads 😂. What’s your test on Thursday?
