I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

Just spoke to embryologist; the eggs that we couldn’t freeze yesterday were just under the grade to be frozen so seems we perhaps ‘jumped’ a little early with egg collection and/or didn’t have high enough stimulation at the start before before increased the dose to mature the eggs enough. The good news there wasn’t any abnormal eggs, just the 5 slightly immature ones. So given that I had 28 follicles to start with it seems the basic follicles/eggs and quality are there, we just need to tweak the meds a bit to make sure we get at all of them next time!

Confirmed that I’m going to have a little break over Christmas due to the slightly rough ride I had with this round and possible mild OHSS going on and then go into my second cycle after that. Got an appointment with consultant to discuss results and next steps in a couple of weeks. So right now just trying to recover a bit after yesterday!

@ChocolateinBruges can you try a lower impact form of exercise to try and help to take your mind off it a bit?

@BlueSilver23 Thanks my OTD is Saturday which is 11dp5dt so quite late, I know a lot of clinics test at 9 days, so the temptation is growing!
Are you doing embryo/egg banking then, rather than completing each cycle by transferring right away?

@Gensola yes decided to egg bank a bit first and get a few in reserve and then move on to treatment. Was a last minute choice but I’d feel happier have a few in the bank so to speak!

Hi everyone I have my egg transfer 2moro.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for this. It's my first time.

They phoned me yesterday to tell me that I now only have 4 eggs from my 5 I had.

@Gensola It’s so hard when everything is banned isn’t it, I’ve thinking of having a frozen yoghurt night just for something fun! Is that fun? 😂

@BlueSilver23 Wishing you lots of lick with your eggs, they sound like a great number. And if you are banking again you’ll have lots to work with 👍

@Ivf1sttime I had my first embryo transfer on Sunday. I completely emptied my bladder 1.5hrs before. I then drank a litre of water an hour before. So started drinking an hour before and completed drinking half an hour before the transfer. The doctor said because my bladder was so full it made the embryo transfer a lot easier. Good luck x

@ChocolateinBruges yeah they told me that on the phone about a full bladder I'll do what you says thank you.

How do you feel after it?

@Ivf1sttime I feel okay, it felt less invasive than a smear test in my case, I felt I barely lay down and then it was over. So all in all, it was a pretty easy procedure.

@ChocolateinBruges aww that's good I felt like that with egg retrieval like I just felt like it was only minutes and done just the waiting before hard kills me. They were worried about ohss for me but so far I've been ok just a little crampy belly but nothing to sore.

Scared for 2moro the whole process is nerve wracking!!

@ChocolateinBruges are you not put out like for the egg collection? I knew about the full bladder but wasn’t sure of the actual procedure? I would have thought having anything up through your cervix needed analgesia!

@Ivf1sttime good luck for tomorrow! I found it uncomfortable only because my bladder was so full ha ha! The doctor was soo good though and did it as quick as possible! It is like a smear that’s all best of luck! X

@BlueSilver23 I wasn’t put out but it only lasted a few minutes and I didn’t feel much. I closed my eyes so I could focus on my breathing and lying still. I’ve found egg retrieval and embryo transfer the good parts of this because they are the proactive bits in the doctors control...it’s when I’m left to my own devices that I crumble like the in the 2ww...

I’ve found the last few days really hard emotionally and mentally. I don’t know if it’s because I’m traumatised by years of infertility or because I’m coming on a downer because my period is due but I’ve felt so low today. I usually feel low for days before my period. And cramp and spot for days on end...really struggling with the low feeling. DH thinks because I’ve been a trouper through egg collection and transfer that this is the easy bit, but it’s the hardest wait of my life x

@ChocolateinBruges aww sorry to hear you’re feeling down we all get those moments! Some days I’m so positive like yep this will work others I’m like nope I just know it hasn’t! So so hard!! Sending hugs x

@Ivf1sttime I was fine when I first got there at 10am but didn’t go down until 11am it was the wait that made it worse ha ha! If you hate waiting the 2ww will drag for you!!

Thank you so much @PositiveeVibes I’m sorry for bringing a downer on this thread, just feel so alone in this process right now and it helps to get some of these feelings out. I’m hoping a good sleep, and movie tonight will help my mood! X

@ChocolateinBruges so sorry your feeling so down I'm only in day 1 of the tww and feeling it already wanting to know. It is so difficult. Hope you enjoy your movie night and treat yourself to some chocolate to help too. It is really hard to stay relaxed. I already felt myself getting stressed this morning at work and thought no I need to chill and the more I said to myself the more stressed I became that I wasn't relaxed! 😆

Did get another bit of good news today though as a further embryo made it to the freezer so now have 3 waiting there. 😀

@Ivf1sttime just had my transfer yesterday and was so bursting for the toilet I had to go and let out a bit as I just couldn't even sit still. It is very hard to stop mid pee 🤣
Didn't really feel much and was over quick was really cool to see the embryo on the screen though and took my partner in as I thought you need to be present for the actual baby making part. I did feel very exposed this time though as no hiding under a blanket as they have to use the ultrasound on your tummy. 😀
