@6543336787gesgvjhg thank you. I bet it feels surreal at the moment. I hope you're scan goes well

Bethpalmer20 · 27/04/2021 19:18

@purpleunicorn01 we were also male factor infertility and the hycosy dye was mentioned but my clinic and fertility gp felt I didn't need it as I hadn't shown any issues. Although if you're offered it I'd say to just do it, it may be beneficial.

@6543336787gesgvjhg I bet you are so excited. Do keep us updated with how it goes, I'll keep everything crossed for you! Completely agree with the having to remind yourself you're pregnant, I've got absolutely no symptoms apart from sore boobs (which I've had since stims anyway) and really crazy vivid dreams/nightmares!

6543336787gesgvjhg · 27/04/2021 21:00

@Bethpalmer20 I haven't had any vivid dreams but husband says I've been talking in my sleep the last few nights haha. Yeah sort of used to the sore boobs now lol. I just hope Friday goes well and there is a baby growing for us. Have you told anyone yet? We haven't. Close family know we've done Ivf but told them not to ask us any questions. My manager asked me when I went back to the office and I just said I said not to ask and she just said but it's exciting and then hasn't asked since luckily. Imagine if it was negative I'd have probably burst into tears. Some people just don't think do they!

Hi guys, hope it’s ok for me to join.
I have just started my down Reg at the beginning of April. I think I have every side effect possible! 😬
Hoping to start FSH on Saturday. 🤞🏻

Orsh · 27/04/2021 21:55

Good numbers @Crazydoglady123 on your follicles :) I hope they are keep behaving well for you.

@The3rdWatermelon, I am very happy for your good news. It's amazing what a difference 2 days can make. When is your EC?

Thank you for your good wishes. Unfortunately they didn't call me today, meaning the 5 slow developing ones didn't make it. I am a bit sad for them and a bit disappointed, because I did believe in them.

But on the other hand I am very happy for our AA grade embryo, who is sitting in the freezer waiting for its time to merge with me :)
Quite a bit of pressure on this little one lol.

Hope everyone is well.

Sungirl11 · 27/04/2021 22:28

@The3rdWatermelon i knew you would get better news this time!!! Yay!

@Pineapple818 welcome!! Exciting times!

@Orsh so sorry to hear this! My slow ones didn't make it either! I got one AA too which is my miracle baby in my belly and one B+B+ in the freezer.

As a fun fact, my close friends and I are calling this baby a little fart 🙈 (pedete in Spanish) hahah the laugh keeps me from not going insane!
2dp5dt and already not knowing how I will hold on for another 10 days 🤦🏻‍♀️

PurpleUnicorn01 · 27/04/2021 22:40

@bethpalmer20. Thank you. I hope you're doing well.

@Orsh im sorry to hear it xx

Welcome @pineapple818

I hope you're all okay xx

Bethpalmer20 · 28/04/2021 06:38

@6543336787gesgvjhg I have no doubt little one is healthy and growing strong for you 🤞 I've told only one family member because they knew we were going through ivf and asked how it all went, I couldn't bring myself to lie so I just told them haha. Apart from that I haven't told anybody, no family, not work etc. Think we will keep it that way until 12 weeks if we can hold out that long! Very insensitive of your manager, I'm sure they didn't do it intentionally, but like you said, imagine if it had been negative, you don't need somebody asking you the outcome because 'it's so exciting' some people just don't think before they speak unfortunately Sad

The3rdWatermelon · 28/04/2021 09:30

@Orsh EC on Friday!

Crazydoglady123 · 28/04/2021 11:15

@Orsh sorry to hear but holding a lot of faith in your top quality embryo for you

Just had my second stims scan and now have 18 follicles over 10mm so EC booked in for Monday. Back in Friday for last stims scan. Feeling really nauseous today too.

Good luck for your scan and for Monday, @Crazydoglady123! I’m feeling really nauseous too, and have done for a few days- I hope it passes for you soon.

I’ve just taken my gonasi trigger injection, then panicked that I might have misread either the time/date instructions for the injection or my calendar and clock, and cried for a good ten minutes. I hadn’t misread anything. Hmm

Crazydoglady123 · 29/04/2021 06:56

@The3rdWatermelon thank you! I'm glad it's not just me! Now you have your trigger out of the way, how are you feeling about EC?

The3rdWatermelon · 29/04/2021 09:48
@The3rdWatermelon thank you! I'm glad it's not just me! Now you have your trigger out of the way, how are you feeling about EC?
I’m pretty nervous. The instructions say to take a pain relief suppository an hour before but that this might not be suitable for some people. Well I’ve not been prescribed it and I’ve double checked the suggested ones and they’re not compatible with my condition (cerebrovascular).
I’m think more worried about getting to the hospital on time without getting lost though. I have a horror of being late for things. The thought of it makes me feel sick and dizzy. I wish we could do it at Leeds where we know where we’re going, but we have to go to Guys so they can do the genetic diagnosis. Just another thing to stress about!

PurpleUnicorn01 · 29/04/2021 13:39

Guys this could help some of you

@The3rdWatermelon I was told to take two paracetamol as I woke up at home.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 29/04/2021 21:37

Hope you're all okay. I think i should be starting treatment in about 3 months they guessed. My funding went off to be approved today. Do they put you on a pill to stop you're natural period on the nhs?

Orsh · 30/04/2021 09:52

Good luck @The3rdWatermelon with your EC today!

Very exciting @Crazydoglady123 that your EC is on Monday :) I am sorry for the additional stress you need to face with the journey. I am sure it will be okay.

I was nauseous for few days before EC but it passed with the EC. I was given painkillers after the EC only. Mine was done in deep sedation.

Congratulations @PurpleUnicorn01. It is a big step and I am glad your funding got approved. Every trust on NHS follows their own protocol and even that varies based on your results. Only they can tell you if they will put you on a pill to control your cycle, or you need to do injections as part of down regulation, or they do a short protocol.

6543336787gesgvjhg · 30/04/2021 10:10

@PurpleUnicorn01 it depends what protocol you are on. Have they ran through any of that yet, I bet you won't for a while yet. I was on a short protocol so didn't take any pills but second day of period started stims. That's great news for you. Short protocol just runs along your normal period, I believe it was because of OHSS.

I have my 7 weeks scan this afternoon. Fingers crossed all is well. I feel sick a lot but haven't been, lots of watery discharge today, sore boobs but not all the time and I'm always hungry at the minute which is strange!

Hope everyone is ok xx

Thank you @Orsh

@6543336787gesgvjhg how exciting!!!!

beachbum85 · 30/04/2021 12:57

Hey everyone, just thought I'd pop back in and see how everyone's doing and what updates there have been! Sorry if I've missed any, it's been quite a while!

@Mrs32 @Bella1984 @Lou8319 congrats on your BFPs!

@6543336787gesgvjhg glad to hear you've been generally well, although baby is making themselves felt :) good luck for today's scan, super exciting!

@Bethpalmer20 glad to hear everything is going well for you too! I did have my boss asking me how things went because 'it's so exciting' - luckily it was before I tested. I know he means well, and I did tell him right away that it didn't work this time, but people should really learn to think and hold back sometimes

@Orsh great news that you've got such a great quality embryo in the freezer! I can imagine the disappointment with the rest, but really it's quality or quantity, as you must have heard so many times. Keeping everything crossed for this one!

@PurpleUnicorn01 glad to hear things are moving and you're getting closer. Who knows, we might be in this at the same time! We were told it's a 3-4 month waiting list to try again after this cycle.

@The3rdWatermelon I hope EC went well and you're feeling fine

@Crazydoglady123 I hope your scan went well today. Good luck for Monday x

@Sungirl11 hope you're holding out OK with your pedete :) the wait is really hard...
And @LJM83 you too!

@Nik85 I'm sorry about your BFN. It's terribly hard, and all the more so when you can't get the answers from the clinic. We also had loads of questions and some, although not all, were answered when we received a copy of our file. Maybe that's something you could ask for? And I would insist on a follow-up consultation too. I know it doesn't solve things though, so take care of yourself x

@Lclarke111 I hope you got the results you were hoping for from testing

The3rdWatermelon · 30/04/2021 13:42

I’ve just got back to our hotel room after EC.
All the staff were really lovely and reassuring. Apparently I was “hilarious” under sedation...!
I was warned I might feel sick when I woken up, but, having felt really nauseated on stims for about a week I actually felt less sick than I’ve felt in ages! I didn’t feel anything during EC itself, just vaguely aware of some pushing and pulling, and then I woke up. Bit of bleeding and cramping like period pain but I’m in bed with a hot water bottle and feeling tired but ok.
And we got 12 eggs collected out of one ovary showing 13 on Tuesday and one showing only two! The doctor was really pleased with the number.
Got to wait until tomorrow now to find out how fertilisation goes out then biopsy is scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday when they’ll be able to tell us how long we have to wait for results.

Crazydoglady123 · 30/04/2021 16:29

Thank you @Orsh @beachbum85

Hope your scan went well @6543336787gesgvjhg

@The3rdWatermelon amazing news! So pleased it went well for you!

Had my final stims scan and trigger tomorrow at 8.30pm and EC Monday at 8.30am! Feeling real now! This is my follicle chart at my clinic. Hoping the 5 at 9mm might grow over the weekend

@Crazydoglady123 good luck for your EC it does all start to feel real doesn't it.

We saw our little one on screen today and saw the heart beating. The nurse said my ovaries are still very big though but not concerned 😧

That is the yolk sack I thought it was the head at first 🤣🤣

Oh @6543336787gesgvjhg how amazing!!! You must be so happy! I've actually booked an early scan for tomorrow due to some period type pains...

6543336787gesgvjhg · 01/05/2021 09:04

@Bethpalmer20 thank you. Still doesn't seem real yet think it will at 12 weeks. I have period type pains and she said it's because my ovaries are still so big

Hope you're scan goes ok. Remind me how many weeks you are? Xx
