My clinic: Kings (London) - applied to HFEA yesterday and expect to hear back about their application by the end of this week. Awaiting a phone call or email to book a baseline scan before I can start FET.

Once anyone gets contacted by their clinic to be booked in to start their treatment, please let us know on here to see which clinics are up and running first!

I'm not expecting any updates yet as the HFEA only started accepting applications yesterday May 11th but I'm hoping they get the ball rolling asap!

I’ve just seen UCLH is on the HFEA list today! Lots more seem to have been added. Fingers crossed anyone still waiting will see their clinics on today’s list!x

Hey @ChatWithMe I'm at Kings as well. Just wondered if they had been in touch with you yet?

I've emailed them once for an update and I know lots of their docs were moved to covid wards so don't want to pester but the waiting is a nightmare!

ChatWithMe · 03/06/2020 08:44

Hi peanutsandpinenuts. Yes they saw me last week for a baseline scan so I can have my FET this month. What stage are you at? Maybe they're focusing on completing IVF cycles cancelled for covid and FETs. Are you wanting to start a new IVF cycle? Maybe it's better to ring so you know you've spoken to someone?

My new patient consultation at Guy's was cancelled late April. I think I will give them two more weeks to catch up with themselves before I call and ask for rescheduling date. Anyone else had their new patient consult appointment? I assume they are starting with people mid cycle in treatment first.

peanutsandpinenuts · 03/06/2020 09:31

Yes it would be a new IVF cycle... long story short we've been with Kings a while and were on cycle 2 of clomid when the lockdown happened but the treatment plan was to move on to IVF if that didn't pan out.

So yes, sounds like they are focusing on completing cycles - which makes total sense - but might give them a call today and just see what they are thinking in terms of time scales... would be good to know if we are talking weeks or months.

Good luck for your FET this month @ChatWithMe! I'll have my fingers crossed for you.

ChatWithMe · 03/06/2020 10:54

Thanks peanutsandpinenuts. Good luck with your treatment too.

That sucks Hoping1. I wonder what the holdup is. I hope you get some answers by ringing and emailing...

They said even if do apply be fet first so I have put it in my head that won't happen till next year and then anything sooner a bonus. Ringing again next week hopeful paper gone in fir approval xxx

Gosh sounds annoying Hoping1. Guess if it's NHS you can't shop around. Especially if you have stored embryos. Some clinics just more on the ball I'm guessing...

Emailed Guys NHS and they said people who's outpatient appointments were cancelled will be contacted 'in the coming weeks'.
