My clinic: Kings (London) - applied to HFEA yesterday and expect to hear back about their application by the end of this week. Awaiting a phone call or email to book a baseline scan before I can start FET.

Once anyone gets contacted by their clinic to be booked in to start their treatment, please let us know on here to see which clinics are up and running first!

I'm not expecting any updates yet as the HFEA only started accepting applications yesterday May 11th but I'm hoping they get the ball rolling asap!

Our clinic went on the list on Tuesday. Just had a call today to schedule a video consult next week to discuss how to restart treatment. Wasn’t expecting it at all, only yesterday they said earliest end of month to reopen. And beginning of last week when I called was told that Drs were still redeployed so looks like things are changing fast! Hope you all hear from your clinics soon. X

Jac119 · 14/05/2020 12:50

@Lemongrass1 great news! Are you NHS? I was told the same last week about dr’s from my clinic still being redeployed, but your clinic has just given me some hope it could be sooner than I fear!

Hoping1 · 14/05/2020 13:31

Jac119 · 14/05/2020 14:33

@Hoping1 I hope you hear something from your clinic soon 🤞

Kt777 · 14/05/2020 16:14

I received a call from Barts this afternoon. They are still waiting for confirmation from Hfea. Looking at July for FET.

Jac119 · 14/05/2020 16:16

@Hoping1 I’m NHS too at UCLH in London x

twinkledag · 14/05/2020 19:33

The Evewell is opening 18 May

MorgenMuffel · 15/05/2020 07:44

The Lister is open and I'm going in for a scan today! We're having a natural FET and although I'm on CD8 they are treating this as my baseline and can hopefully transfer next week. Am so unprepared as thought we'd be out this month and need to wait until the start of my next cycle.

Will update later what measures the clinic have in place if anyone is interested.

Hope you all get started soon.

Jac119 · 15/05/2020 07:59

@MorgenMuffel omg that’s amazing!! Hope your scan goes well. Yes, please let us know how you get on xx

Wesstywoo · 15/05/2020 08:42

@MorgenMuffel that's brilliant - good luck today! xx

Hoping1 · 15/05/2020 17:04

@MorgenMuffel how did you get on xxx

MorgenMuffel · 15/05/2020 17:19

Thank you @Jac119 @Wesstywoo @Hoping1 It went well! My lining is 7.1mm and follicle 15.6mm so almost ready to go! I've got to take an ovulation test tomorrow morning and sunday morning and if positive then to let the clinic know, and if not I'm booked in for a scan on Mon morning. They seemed confident that by Monday I'd be ready for a trigger shot if I haven't had a natural LH surge. Transfer is then 7 days after surge / trigger.

In terms of covid, we both had our temp taken at the entrance to the Lister hospital before being allowed in. We had to fill out a form stating we didn't have any symptoms and given a disposable face mask at the main reception before heading to the fertility clinic. There were pots for clean and used pens and screens to separate the receptionists from people. The seats were spaced 2m apart in the waiting room and staff all wearing ppe. It was pretty quiet as they have only just reopened so only one other person in the waiting room we were in. We had to sign an additional consent form which had info about covid and additional precautions.
For those having egg collection they are only being done under sedation (which I chose anyway when I had mine in March) and having to have 2 negative covid tests before proceeding, and that you were to self isolate as much as possible.

Writing this sat in the car at Sainsburys whilst DH is trying to get some ovulation tests!

Hoping1 · 15/05/2020 17:31

Brill hope all goes well for you lv xxx

Leala20 · 15/05/2020 17:40

LWC is not there yet. Do you know if those that are still not open this means anything?

Jac119 · 15/05/2020 17:56

@MorgenMuffel that’s so exciting!! Glad everything went well and you’re finally on your way to your FET happening! Good to hear about all the precautions they’re taking in the hospital too.

ChatWithMe · 15/05/2020 19:08

Sorry your clinic isn't approved yet Leala20. I'm sure they'll be on HFEA website early next week. It just takes time to process all the applications I'm guessing.

Good to hear how it went MorgenMuffel.

My doctor's appointment is by phone end of next week. Then I will have a Zoom video appointment with the nurse another day soon to show us signing our consent forms. Finally I'll have an in person baseline scan appointment I think before starting meds for medicated FET. I think they will miss my next cycle so I'm guessing cycle day 1 will be around July 4th....

@ChatWithMe so exciting you are getting going. Its a way away but I find it helps to have a timescale rather than just the unkown. Interesting to see they will do your forms over zoom - my DH had to come to the clinic today to sign them in person.

@Leala20 I'm sure your clinic is just in the queue for their paperwork to be approved so they can open.

Leala20 · 16/05/2020 13:58

Thank you ladies just saw last night LWC was approved!

Acsuch · 16/05/2020 14:36

Hi everyone, I was on the waiting list to start my FET as soon as possible. I got an email yesterday saying they will be starting treatments again from Monday but they’ve said that before they can book my baseline scan, me and my partner need to do a Covid swab test (that they have posted to us but we need to pay for!) and wait for the results to confirm they are negative. Has anyone had anything similar from their clinics? Thank you!

MorgenMuffel · 16/05/2020 15:40

@Leala20 great news! Hope you get started soon

@Acsuch I didn't have to take a swab test, but did have to answer extensive questions on booking and my temp was taken before being allowed to enter the building. I had further forms to sign which did include testing if you were having egg collection. Hope the tests arrive quickly and you can get your scan booked

ChatWithMe · 16/05/2020 20:29

How much did it cost Acsuch?

Out clinic sent covid info leaflet and consent forms to sign. I think they check temperature and ask questions when you go in person but not entirely sure until I actually go in...

Thank you so much @MorgenMuffel! Me too!! After the long wait with the lockdown I really would like to get started soon! Wishing you all the best on your FET!
