Preparing for IVF/FET post COVID-19

Like a lot of people my FET was cancelled just before transfer. So (after a few tears) I’ve decided to take the time to see what I can do naturally to give my body the best chance.

I know a lot of people recommend It starts with the egg but my issues are a very thin, slow to respond lining, even after 2 weeks of double dose oestrogen it was only 4.2mm. I know my lining can get to the right level with more drugs, as it did with IVF (very slowly), but want it give it a better starting point!

Any tips on what I can do, or supplements? Anyone else in a similar position waiting for IVF or FET?
What are you doing with the time?

@C88M fingers crossed that its just a rumour and that the CCGs do release funding so things can start.

Sadly we needed to wait another year for NHS funding as our CCG has decreed 3 years of trying is needed for unexplained fertility, so very fortunate that we could go down the private route.

@MorgenMuffel Care seemed to have confirmed it, but July isn’t too long away. I’d like to lose a bit more weight so I’m going to concentrate on that. I had thought July anyway so I’m ok.

Three years is a long time! Do you lose your NHS goes if you go private and it didn’t work? It’s also something we’d consider if NHS was going to be a long time.

@C88M thats a great way to think about it. I've stocked up on avocado, cashews and decaf coffee!

My research suggests we would still qualify for NHS, but had quite a horrible time at the hospital so not desperate to go back! Plus we have bought a 3 cycle package and fortunate enough to have got 6 good quality embryos from my first fresh cycle, so if we get through them and another two fresh cycles and still not started a family I think we will be done.

6 embryos gives you a great chance! I said straight after my first round of IVF I would never do it again because I was so ill. I think I would probably do a 2nd now if our 3 frozen don’t work. I don’t think I’ll do more than 3 though we said our two NHS and one private then we’re done. If we get to our 2nd cycle and it’s as bad as the first I don’t think I’ll do third.

I’m hoping by some miracle my daily yoga and vitamins are just going to work naturally (never gonna happen but can always dream)
