Did anyone have an embryo transfer today? When are you going to test?

Congrats!

I had mine yesterday and I think I'll test on Sunday.

You?

PSL1990 · 02/07/2019 21:29

You too!

I am hoping I'll be able to wait until Tuesday. I tested 7dp5dt last time and got a strong positive. So I think it might probably show up before that but I don't want to test too early!

Was your embryo a day 3 or 5? Have you had a FET before?

Good luck!!

OP posts:
jemimafuddleduck · 02/07/2019 22:56

That sounds good.

I have had two fresh transfers (both bfn) and now this FET. So 3 transfers in total.

Mine are donor egg cycles as I have low ovarian reserve and are having our treatment in Spain, so I flew out there and back again yesterday!

How many have you had?

PSL1990 · 03/07/2019 09:41

I had a fresh cycle in 2017 which failed and then a natural frozen which worked. I've just started trying again so this is my third transfer in total.

I think I felt a bit twingey this morning. Have you felt any cramps or anything?

OP posts:
jemimafuddleduck · 03/07/2019 10:03

Yes I was really crappy yesterday (1pd5dt) but am trying not to read too much into anything!

So you have one DC already?

PSL1990 · 03/07/2019 10:22

Yes, I have one child at the min. Will this be your first? I made notes during my last FET in 2017 and I felt twingey the day after then backache and cramps days 5-7 after so I will be looking for that but I guess every pregnancy is different. Wish we could just know now!!

OP posts:
jemimafuddleduck · 03/07/2019 10:43

Yes, I've never been pregnant!

I've been twingy after all of my transfers so am just going with the flow as for me I don't think it means anything.

The wait is the hardest bit 😢

kell2126 · 03/07/2019 15:46

Hi ladies can I join you? I had a fresh transfer this morning from my first ever stim cycle and would love a bit of company during the excruciating wait. My OTD is 17/07 and there's no chance in hell I'm holding off from testing that long!

PSL1990 · 03/07/2019 20:01

@jemimafuddleduck the wait is awful! Has it been a long journey for you? We tried for about 6 months, found out after initial tests that I am borderline PCOS. Tried another 6 months, then tried clomid which didn't work and then went to IVF at 2 years.

@kell2126 hello!!!! Yes, please join us 😊. Is this your first transfer? How are you feeling? Did you have a day 3 or 5 embryo? Good luck!!!

OP posts:
jemimafuddleduck · 03/07/2019 22:08

Hi @kell2126 - wishing you all the luck in the world.

@PSL1990 we've been on this journey since Dec 2017 - so not that long comparatively.

Tried for about 8 cycles, then got impatient and went to the dr. Thank god I did as they quickly found I have high fish, low amh and low ovarian reserve. DH is fine.

Decided to go straight to donor egg treatment and had our first and only round on the NHS in Dec 2018 - BFN with nothing to freeze.

Then decided to go abroad to IVF Spain and signed up to a (v expensive!!) 5 embryo package, to give ourselves the best cumulative chance. Fresh transfer end of May - BFN. And then our transfer on Monday of this week!

Are you doing anything to help things along at all? I was off work yesterday and am working from home (on the sofa!) today and tomorrow.

Other than that, it's down to nature 🤞

jemimafuddleduck · 04/07/2019 19:50

MUST NOT TEST TOMORROW AT 4DPT!

PSL1990 · 04/07/2019 20:56

Oh @jemimafuddleduck how unlucky to have 2 BFNs! This has to be third time lucky!!! Have you had any cramping or anything today? Try to hold out on testing as long as you can (says me 😂)

Hi there

Just had FET yesterday. Our last embryo.

ICSI done 2015, resulted in 3x Day 5 blastocysts

2015 put back a fresh 5AA = DD :)
2018 put back a frozen 4BB = BFN :(
2019 put back a frozen 3BA = ???

Feeling very nervous as this is our last attempt

Good luck to everyone xx

PSL1990 · 04/07/2019 21:33

Hi @Bruce2 oh gosh it must be quite stressful being your last embryo! I think we could be in that position one day. Does it feel a lot different to the other transfers? When are you going to test? Really crossing my fingers and hoping for you x

OP posts:
Bruce2 · 05/07/2019 06:55

Thank you @PSL1990

Not testing at all. Will wait until routine bloods that are booked in for 15th and find out either way then.
I've had so many bfn over the years that I can't bear to not see the line again.
Thanks for the good luck wishes :)

Bruce2 · 05/07/2019 06:57

@PSL1990
Also... yes it feels a bit different from the last FET as it's a different clinic which have taken much thorough care than the last. And we used the embryo glue this time...not sure it actually makes much difference mind you!!
It's all up to my body now I suppose.
I don't feel much different personally but I was just happier with how it all went on Wednesday.

kell2126 · 05/07/2019 08:23

Hi @Bruce2 – GL for the 15th! Embryo glue sounds cool!

@PSL1990 Yes, it's my first ever transfer tying for DC#1: we had a 'top quality' day 5 embryo transferred. I don't know if my clinic does the letter-number-number grading thing or whether it was hatching or anything. Should've asked, I suppose! I had very sharp cramps on ET day, then some mild cramping yesterday afternoon/evening and a lot of gas (sorry tmi), and then woke up this morning (2dp5dt) at 3.30am and couldn't really get back to sleep, and had some very sharp cramps again at about 6.30am. I'm guessing this could all be due to the cyclogest so not really getting hopes up and will prob start testing Monday.

@jemimafuddleduck hope you can hold out on the testing (or if you can't, that it's a BFP)!

Bruce2 · 05/07/2019 09:35

Thank you @kell2126

PSL1990 · 05/07/2019 10:02

I feel totally normal today so I'm in a bit of a pessimistic mood about the transfer but guess that's natural. I'm trying to hold of testing until Tuesday but suspect that I'll be desperate by Monday!

OP posts:
kell2126 · 05/07/2019 16:48

Is anyone else super bloated?? I swear I look about 4 months pg today and I'm finding it hard finding clothes in my wardrobe that fit comfortably and cover it up!

jemimafuddleduck · 05/07/2019 20:47

I'm really bloated! I think it's just ivf fat though as opposed to "bloating".

@PSL1990 I feel totally normal too. I don't think it's worked. 😢

PSL1990 · 05/07/2019 22:49

No bloating here. Literally not a single tiny symptom! Argh, 4 more days until I can test!!

OP posts:
jemimafuddleduck · 05/07/2019 23:01

Think I will test on Sunday. I have my pregnant friend staying with me this weekend (who doesn't know about this) 😬

PSL1990 · 06/07/2019 19:45

@jemimafuddleduck eeeek! Are you still planning to test tomorrow? What is your gut feel?? On my day of transfer I really felt like it had worked but now I'm sure it hasn't. I just want to test!

OP posts:
kell2126 · 07/07/2019 07:17

I caved very early and started testing last night (3dp5dt - after testing out trigger). Got a faint but definite BFP 10pm last night (even DH can see it!) and a vvvvfl this morning 🤷🏼‍♀️
