@2fingers22018 I think that's a good thing to do. It is just too hard to try and put a smile on my face all the time and be positive! Thank you. Agree with you too, the not knowing is the worst!

How is everyone doing? How was the call @2fingers22018?

Does anyone else spend their fertile window and tww working out their due date, when theyd get bfn and how many weeks they would be at every big event coming up? please tell me it's not just me!

@2fingers22018 hope you're okay. Only call if it will make you feel better. No pressure. Still no positive opk here. CD16 now. I thought my cycles were getting regular but been longer since I had hsg. Fx it comes soon.

@veeboo thanks fx u get a +tomorrow..no i need to fone tomorrow ive got a really bad habit of putting things off gets me nowhere. I think if i have a date to work towards it might help im just scared the waiting list is worse than they anticipated uuuggh

@veeboo not so much anymore I use to! However as et gets closer I am no working out dates as we are away with family in July and everyone likes a drink including me which I obviously won’t be able to do if it works so thinking how would I hide it would I tell them early and then I’m like hang on a min it’s not something I need to worry about just yet lol! Still can’t help my self though!

@2fingers22018 there no pressures only need to do it if like veeboo says it makes you feel better!

I am fed up today it’s day 10 for me on injections af is still not here and the lower half of my face has broke out in the most painful spots ever!!! So am feeling very self conscious!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF will it have an impact on anything with when your af arrives or doesn't it matter? Either way, hopefully it'll come soon and the spots will go soon too. As @2fingers22018 said, try tea tree, that is good stuff!!

Morning all. Positive opk today. After managing to dtd 2 days in a row we haven't since Sunday so DP needs to get cracking now lol.

@finallytakingtheplunge I'm with Kelly I am not sure how AF arriving impacts your treatment but hope it comes soon for you. I am absolutely the same worrying about whether it will clash with an event etc. I did just that last month about a hen do that's coming up and obviously my AF came anyway!

@kelly199 and @veeboo I don’t either might ring the clinic as the nurse I emailed on Monday hasn’t replied! I guess I can’t start the next part on till af has been as need my lining to be thin and everything shut down I believe which means it will be longer then anticipated to get to et! Well that’s what I’m guessing for the moment which means more injections 😩

Same question @2fingers22018, have you made the call? Don't put yourself under too much pressure, but like you said you might feel better if you have a bit of certainty about when it might be, even if it's far away at least you know where you are? It's tough. Good call on the comedy club methinks!

So after trying opks for first time I only got one day of smiley face instead of the 2 I think you should get. Along with this I finally got my AMH back and it was 13.3, and apparently 10-50 is about usual for my age group. I know that means I'm just about in average but the two things combined have made me get a bit stressy as originally was told it's just mf we're dealing with. 🙁
Speaking of which we got the miOXSYS results back for dh and on the plus side the motility and number of sperm looks better but the morphology is the main issue, and they have suggested 3 months strict diet/keeping 'things' cool then if need be they can look closer at DNA fragmentation because otherwise risk of miscarriage is higher. Got our consultation on Friday and all this is making me uber anxious as I'd assumed ours was a crap but simple issue...

Hi @CloudSway so sorry you're feeling anxious! I dont know what AMH means I'm sorry so not sure about the numbers. What does it measure?

In terms of opks if you got a flashing smiley then you got the LH surge which has to happen for ovulation so dont read too much into that. I get different variations month on month in terms if how many days it shows. What may help now is measuring the time between the positive and AF. That will give you your luteal window which should stay the same each month and help you predict future cycles better.

Hate to be gross and i know your prob not in the mood atm @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF but have sex i know theres prob no logic to it but that brings on af for a lot of ppl when its overdue

@CloudsSway i only get 1day of smiley face aswell so the gd news is you do ovulate i agree with@veeboo that will help you soo much with knowing when your periods genuinely so it is some gd news. All the tests are very stressful tho take care x

So was waiting to call at lunchtime @kelly199 and CloudSway bit the nurse I had emailed have s replied I feel a bit better but it’s a bit Vague for me lol! She said everyone different and that I may well get af which will shed the lining up to day 21 but not to worry it might come in the next few days but my scan Will confirm where I am! So I’m happy that I can go for my scan I think it’s hard to feel like something happening when you don’t get to see your ovaries every other day ! To me it wasn’t a definitive answer as to weather I would get af but will wait till Friday and will ask questions as I want to get on with the next step of tablet taking!

@2fingers22018 yeah might have to try that!

@cloudsway I think your only meant to get one? I’m not sure about amh either so can’t offer an advice! I think we have morphology issues but no one has mentioned issues of here being a higher risk of miscarriage might have to look on to that!

@finallytakingtheplungewithivf @veeboo @2fingers22018 oh thanks, because it says on the pack you get 2 days I panicked! Honestly it's like I look for thinks to get worked up about, I dive myself mad, always go straight to worst case scenario, sorry guys and thanks for the chill pill lol.

@veeboo the amh is to do with how much of a certain hormone you have , which indicates what your egg reserve is like (if I'm understanding what they told me correctly). The number goes down as you get older because you have fewer eggs left, so just a bit shocked that at 31 I'm right at the bottom of what is acceptable. I should be grateful as it means I have eggs and the opk means I'm ovulating, but every new bit of info seems like another hurdle.

Think I'm just in one of those shitty moods today. I'll be more positive tomorrow!

I wouldn't overly worry about AMH tbh, because I was told that your levels fluctuate and can be higher or lower depending on stress etc..... which to me is totally bonkers because as far as I understand it's a measure of your egg reserve, so how can that possibly go up? I had it tested years ago randomly, think it was in error and it was very low but last time I had it done it was ok!? Happy to be told I'm wrong tho and that I've misunderstood! @CloudSway

Thats alrite @CloudsSway u dnt need to be positive all the time we understand. I always think the worst case scenarios i sed to think it was a bad thing but now i say expect the worse anything less is a bonus, 9 out of 10 times i end up pleasantly surprised lol

Thanks for explaining @CloudSway. Maybe we can flip this one on its head...all signs suggest you've ovulated!

@cloudsway I think it means that when you get the your two most fertile days are up to 48 hours after! I went through a lot of these! Hope that helps abit

@squirrelnutkins yes my scan is Friday so least I’ll have a better idea of what’s going on once that is done just feel a bit in limbo

@CloudSway think the other ladies have already said, but a flashing smiley indicates high fertility and a static smiley indicates peak fertility which then means you will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours (dependant on when the LH surge started as you may have tested during the beginning or the end). Don't have a clue about AMH, but I'm so sorry to read that it's bad news. Have you spoken to anyone in depth about this to see if there's anything you can do to improve your chances? Have you read the book "It Starts With The Egg"? It will give you advice on how to improve for both you and your partner. Worth a read. Hope you're ok xx
(Just read further up about what amh is! Would definitely read the book if you already haven't. Don't suppose it's for everyone, but it does say how to improve egg quality and it's all backed by scientific research, so if you have low egg reserve, you could improve the quality of the ones you have to give you the best chance!) xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF glad you had the email! It is horrible when they're vague as you just want to know all the info! You could always call in addition to the email to get some more answers.
